2 Chronicles 33:5-7

New International Version

⁵In both courts of the temple of the Lord,^(A) he built altars to all the starry hosts. ⁶He sacrificed his children^(B) in the fire in the Valley of Ben Hinnom, practiced divination and witchcraft, sought omens, and consulted mediums^(C) and spiritists.^(D) He did much evil in the eyes of the Lord, arousing his anger.

⁷He took the image he had made and put it in God’s temple,^(E) of which God had said to David and to his son Solomon, “In this temple and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put my Name forever.

⁶And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.

⁷And he set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen before all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:
