Voici les fils de David, qui lui naquirent à Hébron. Le premier-né, Amnon, d'Achinoam de Jizreel; le second, Daniel, d'Abigaïl de Carmel;

le troisième, Absalom, fils de Maaca, fille de Talmaï, roi de Gueschur; le quatrième, Adonija, fils de Haggith;

le cinquième, Schephatia, d'Abithal; le sixième, Jithream, d'Égla, sa femme.

Ces six lui naquirent à Hébron. Il régna là sept ans et six mois, et il régna trente-trois ans à Jérusalem.

Voici ceux qui lui naquirent à Jérusalem. Schimea, Schobab, Nathan et Salomon, quatre de Bath Schua, fille d'Ammiel;

Jibhar, Élischama, Éliphéleth,

Noga, Népheg, Japhia, Élischama,

Éliada et Éliphéleth, neuf.

Ce sont là tous les fils de David, outre les fils des concubines. Et Tamar était leur soeur.

10 Fils de Salomon: Roboam. Abija, son fils; Asa, son fils; Josaphat, son fils;

11 Joram, son fils; Achazia, son fils; Joas, son fils;

12 Amatsia, son fils; Azaria, son fils; Jotham, son fils;

13 Achaz, son fils; Ézéchias, son fils; Manassé, son fils;

14 Amon, son fils; Josias, son fils.

15 Fils de Josias: le premier-né, Jochanan; le second, Jojakim; le troisième, Sédécias; le quatrième, Schallum.

16 Fils de Jojakim: Jéconias, son fils; Sédécias, son fils.

17 Fils de Jéconias: Assir, dont le fils fut Schealthiel,

18 Malkiram, Pedaja, Schénatsar, Jekamia, Hoschama et Nedabia.

19 Fils de Pedaja: Zorobabel et Schimeï. Fils de Zorobabel: Meschullam et Hanania; Schelomith, leur soeur;

20 et Haschuba, Ohel, Bérékia, Hasadia, Juschab Hésed, cinq.

21 Fils de Hanania: Pelathia et Ésaïe; les fils de Rephaja, les fils d'Arnan, les fils d'Abdias, les fils de Schecania.

22 Fils de Schecania: Schemaeja. Fils de Schemaeja: Hattusch, Jigueal, Bariach, Nearia et Schaphath, six.

23 Fils de Nearia: Eljoénaï, Ézéchias et Azrikam, trois.

24 Fils d'Eljoénaï: Hodavia, Éliaschib, Pelaja, Akkub, Jochanan, Delaja et Anani, sept.

King David’s oldest son was Amnon, who was born to his wife, Ahinoam of Jezreel.

The second was Daniel, whose mother was Abigail from Carmel.

The third was Absalom, the son of his wife Maacah, who was the daughter of King Talmai of Geshur.

The fourth was Adonijah, the son of Haggith.

The fifth was Shephatiah, the son of Abital.

The sixth was Ithream, the son of his wife Eglah.

These six were born to him in Hebron, where he reigned seven and a half years. Then he moved the capital to Jerusalem, where he reigned another thirty-three years.

While he was in Jerusalem, his wife Bathsheba[a] (the daughter of Ammiel) became the mother of his sons Shimea, Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon.

6-8 David also had nine other sons: Ibhar, Elishama, Eliphelet, Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphelet.

(This list does not include the sons of his concubines.) David also had a daughter Tamar.

10-14 These are the descendants of King Solomon: Rehoboam, Abijah, Asa, Jehoshaphat, Jehoram,[b] Ahaziah, Joash, Amaziah, Azariah, Jotham, Ahaz, Hezekiah, Manasseh, Amon, Josiah.

15 The sons of Josiah were: Johanan, Jehoiakim, Zedekiah, Shallum.[c]

16 The sons of Jehoiakim: Jeconiah, Zedekiah.

17-18 These are the sons who were born to King Jeconiah during the years that he was under house arrest: Shealtiel, Malchiram, Pedaiah, Shenazzar, Jekamiah, Hoshama, Nedabiah.

19-20 Pedaiah was the father of Zerubbabel and Shimei.

Zerubbabel’s children were: Meshullam, Hananiah, Hashubah, Ohel, Berechiah, Hasadiah, Jushab-hesed, Shelomith (a daughter).

21-22 Hananiah’s sons were Pelatiah and Jeshaiah; Jeshaiah’s son was Rephaiah; Rephaiah’s son was Arnan; Arnan’s son was Obadiah; Obadiah’s son was Shecaniah. Shecaniah’s son was Shemaiah; Shemaiah had six sons, including Hattush, Igal, Bariah, Neariah, and Shaphat.

23 Neariah had three sons: Elioenai, Hizkiah, Azrikam.

24 Elioenai had seven sons: Hodaviah, Eliashib, Pelaiah, Akkub, Johanan, Delaiah, Anani.
