29 大卫王对会众说：“我儿子所罗门是神特选的，还年幼娇嫩。这工程甚大，因这殿不是为人，乃是为耶和华神建造的。 2 我为我神的殿已经尽力预备金子做金器，银子做银器，铜做铜器，铁做铁器，木做木器，还有红玛瑙、可镶嵌的宝石、彩石和一切的宝石，并许多汉白玉。 3 且因我心中爱慕我神的殿，就在预备建造圣殿的材料之外，又将我自己积蓄的金银献上，建造我神的殿， 4 就是俄斐金三千他连得，精炼的银子七千他连得，以贴殿墙， 5 金子做金器，银子做银器，并借匠人的手制造一切。今日有谁乐意将自己献给耶和华呢？”
会众尽心乐输
6 于是，众族长和以色列各支派的首领、千夫长、百夫长，并监管王工的官长，都乐意献上。 7 他们为神殿的使用，献上金子五千他连得零一万达利克，银子一万他连得，铜一万八千他连得，铁十万他连得。 8 凡有宝石的都交给革顺人耶歇，送入耶和华殿的府库。 9 因这些人诚心乐意献给耶和华，百姓就欢喜，大卫王也大大欢喜。
大卫称颂耶和华
10 所以，大卫在会众面前称颂耶和华说：“耶和华，我们的父以色列的神，是应当称颂直到永永远远的！ 11 耶和华啊，尊大、能力、荣耀、强盛、威严都是你的，凡天上地下的都是你的，国度也是你的，并且你为至高，为万有之首。 12 丰富、尊荣都从你而来，你也治理万物。在你手里有大能大力，使人尊大、强盛都出于你。 13 我们的神啊，现在我们称谢你，赞美你荣耀之名。 14 我算什么，我的民算什么，竟能如此乐意奉献？因为万物都从你而来，我们把从你而得的献给你。 15 我们在你面前是客旅，是寄居的，与我们列祖一样。我们在世的日子如影儿，不能长存[a]。 16 耶和华我们的神啊，我们预备这许多材料要为你的圣名建造殿宇，都是从你而来，都是属你的。 17 我的神啊，我知道你察验人心，喜悦正直。我以正直的心乐意献上这一切物，现在我喜欢见你的民在这里都乐意奉献于你。 18 耶和华我们列祖亚伯拉罕、以撒、以色列的神啊，求你使你的民常存这样的心思意念，坚定他们的心归向你。 19 又求你赐我儿子所罗门诚实的心，遵守你的命令、法度、律例，成就这一切的事，用我所预备的建造殿宇。”
会众称颂耶和华
20 大卫对全会众说：“你们应当称颂耶和华你们的神！”于是会众称颂耶和华他们列祖的神，低头拜耶和华与王。 21 次日，他们向耶和华献平安祭和燔祭，就是献公牛一千只、公绵羊一千只、羊羔一千只，并同献的奠祭，又为以色列众人献许多的祭。那日他们在耶和华面前吃喝，大大欢乐。
复膏所罗门立之为王
22 他们奉耶和华的命再膏大卫的儿子所罗门做王，又膏撒督做祭司。 23 于是所罗门坐在耶和华所赐的位上，接续他父亲大卫做王，万事亨通。以色列众人也都听从他。 24 众首领和勇士，并大卫王的众子，都顺服所罗门王。 25 耶和华使所罗门在以色列众人眼前甚为尊大，极其威严，胜过在他以前的以色列王。
大卫寿终
26 耶西的儿子大卫做以色列众人的王。 27 做王共四十年，在希伯仑做王七年，在耶路撒冷做王三十三年。 28 他年纪老迈，日子满足，享受丰富、尊荣，就死了，他儿子所罗门接续他做王。 29 大卫王始终的事，都写在先见撒母耳的书上和先知拿单并先见迦得的书上。 30 他的国事和他的勇力，以及他和以色列并列国所经过的事，都写在这书上。

29 Furthermore Dovid HaMelech said unto kol HaKahal, Sh’lomo beni (my son), the one Elohim hath chosen, is yet na’ar and tender, and the melachah (work, task) is gedolah; for the palace is not for adam, but for Hashem Elohim.
2 Now I have provided with all my ko’ach for the Bais Elohai the zahav for things to be made of zahav, and the kesef for things of kesef, and the nechoshet for things of nechoshet, the barzel (iron) for things of barzel (iron), and etzim for things of etzim; onyx stones to be set, turquoise, and stones of various colors, and all manner of precious stones, and marble, all in abundance.
3 Moreover, because I have set my affection on the Bais Elohai, I have of mine own segullah (treasure) zahav and kesef, which I have given to the Bais Elohai, over and above all that I have prepared for the Beis HaKodesh.
4 Even shloshet alafim talents of zahav, of the zahav of Ophir, and shivat alafim talents of refined kesef, to overlay the walls of the buildings;
5 The zahav for things of zahav, and the kesef for things of kesef, and for all manner of melachah (work) to be made by the hands of charashim (artisans). And who then is willing to consecrate his yad today unto Hashem?
6 Then the sarei ha’avot and the sarei shivtei Yisroel and the sarei ha’alafim and of me’ot, with the sarei melechet hamelech (officials over the work of the King), made freewill offerings.
7 And gave for the Avodas Beis HaElohim five thousand talents and ten thousand darkons of zahav, and ten thousand talents of kesef, and eighteen thousand talents of nechoshet, and one hundred thousand talents of barzel.
8 And they with whom precious stones were found gave them to the Otzer Bais Hashem, by the yad of Yechiel the Gershoni.
9 Then the people rejoiced, for theirs were freewill offerings, because with lev shalem they offered willingly to Hashem; and Dovid HaMelech also rejoiced with simchah gedolah.
10 Wherefore Dovid blessed Hashem before the eyes of kol HaKahal; and Dovid said, Baruch atah Adonoi Elohei Yisroel Avinu meOlam v’ad olam.
11 Thine, Hashem is HaGedulah, and HaGevurah, and HaTiferet and HaNetzach and HaHod; for all that is in the Shomayim and in Ha’aretz is Thine; Thine is the Mamlachah, O Hashem, and Thou art exalted as Rosh above all.
12 Both osher and kavod come of Thee, and Thou art Moshel over all; and in Thine yad is ko’ach and gevurah; and in Thine yad it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.
13 Now therefore, Eloheinu, we thank Thee, and praise Thy Shem Tiferet.
14 But who am I, and what is my people, that we should have ko’ach to make this freewill offering? For all things come of Thee, and of Thine own have we given Thee.
15 For we are gerim before Thee, and toshavim (resident aliens), as were kol Avoteinu; our yamim on ha’aretz are as a tzel (shadow), and there is no mikveh (hope).
16 Hashem Eloheinu, all this great abundance that we have provided to build Thee a Bais for Shem Kadshecha cometh of Thine yad, and is all Thine own.
17 I know also, Elohai, that Thou doth test the levav, and hast pleasure in meisharim (integrities, uprightness, equity). As for me, in the yosher levavi I have made freewill offerings of all these things, and now have I seen with simchah Thy people, which are present here, willingly offer freewill offerings unto Thee.
18 Hashem Elohei Avraham, Yitzchak, and of Yisroel, Avoteinu, be shomer over this l’olam in the yetzer (inclination) of the machshevot (thoughts) of the levav of Thy people, and set their lev unto Thee.
19 And give unto Sh’lomo beni a levav shalem, to be shomer over Thy mitzvot, Thy edot, and Thy chukkot, and to do all these things, and to build the Bayit, for the which I have made provision.
20 And Dovid said to kol HaKahal, Barchu nah es Hashem Eloheichem. And kol HaKahal blessed Hashem Elohei Avoteihem, and bowed down, and fell prostrate before Hashem and before HaMelech.
21 And they sacrificed zevakhim unto Hashem, and offered olot unto Hashem, on the next day after that yom, even a thousand parim (bulls), a thousand eilim (rams), and a thousand kevasim, with their nesakim, and zevakhim in abundance for kol Yisroel;
22 And did eat and drink before Hashem on that day with simchah gedolah. And they crowned Sh’lomo Ben Dovid Melech the second time, and anointed him unto Hashem to be Nagid (ruler), and Tzadok to be Kohen.
23 Then Sh’lomo sat on the kisse Hashem as Melech instead of Dovid Aviv, and prospered, and kol Yisroel obeyed him.
24 And all the sarim, and the gibborim, and all the Bnei HaMelech Dovid submitted themselves unto Sh’lomo HaMelech.
25 And Hashem magnified Sh’lomo exceedingly in the eyes of all Yisroel, and bestowed upon him such hod malchut (royal majesty) as had not been on any melech before him in Yisroel.
26 Thus Dovid Ben Yishai reigned over kol Yisroel.
27 And the time that he reigned over Yisroel was arba’im shanah; sheva shanim reigned he in Chevron, and thirty and three reigned he in Yerushalayim.
28 And he died in a good old age, full of yamim, oisher, and kavod; and Sh’lomo bno reigned in his place.
29 Now the acts of Dovid HaMelech, first and last, behold, they are written in the Divrei Shmuel HaRo’eh, and in the Divrei Natan HaNavi, and in the Divrei Gad the chozeh (seer),
30 With all his malchut and his gevurah, and the times that passed around him, and around Yisroel, and over kol mamlechot ha’aratzot (kingdoms of the lands).

29 Entonces el rey David dijo a toda la asamblea: «Mi hijo Salomón, el único que Dios ha escogido, es aún joven y sin experiencia(A), y la obra es grande; porque el templo[a] no es para hombre, sino para el Señor Dios(B). 2 Con toda mi habilidad he provisto para la casa de mi Dios, el oro para las cosas de oro, la plata para las cosas de plata, el bronce para las cosas de bronce, el hierro para las cosas de hierro, la madera para las cosas de madera; también piedras de ónice, piedras de engaste, piedras de antimonio, piedras de varios colores, toda clase de piedras preciosas y piedras de alabastro en abundancia(C). 3 Además, en mi amor por la casa de mi Dios, el tesoro que tengo de oro y de plata, lo doy a la casa de mi Dios, además de todo lo que ya he provisto para la santa casa, 4 es decir, 102 toneladas de oro(D), del oro de Ofir(E), y 238 toneladas de plata acrisolada para revestir las paredes de los edificios; 5 de oro para las cosas de oro, y de plata para las cosas de plata, es decir, para toda la obra hecha por los artesanos. ¿Quién, pues, está dispuesto a dar su ofrenda hoy al Señor?».
6 Entonces los jefes de las casas paternas, y los jefes de las tribus de Israel, y los capitanes de millares y de centenares, con los supervisores sobre la obra del rey(F), ofrecieron voluntariamente sus donativos(G); 7 y para el servicio de la casa de Dios dieron 170 toneladas y 10,000 monedas (85 kilos) de oro(H), 1,340 toneladas de plata, 612 toneladas de bronce y 3,400 toneladas de hierro. 8 Y todos los que tenían piedras preciosas las dieron al tesoro de la casa del Señor a cargo de Jehiel(I) el gersonita. 9 Entonces el pueblo se alegró porque habían contribuido voluntariamente, porque de todo corazón(J) hicieron su ofrenda al Señor; y también el rey David se alegró en gran manera.
10 Y David bendijo al Señor en presencia de toda la asamblea, y dijo: «Bendito eres, oh Señor, Dios de Israel, nuestro padre por los siglos de los siglos. 11 Tuya es, oh Señor, la grandeza y el poder y la gloria y la victoria y la majestad(K), en verdad, todo lo que hay en los cielos y en la tierra; Tuyo es el dominio, oh Señor, y te exaltas como soberano sobre todo. 12 De Ti proceden la riqueza y el honor(L); Tú reinas sobre todo y en Tu mano están el poder y la fortaleza(M), y en Tu mano está engrandecer y fortalecer a todos. 13 Ahora pues, Dios nuestro, te damos gracias y alabamos Tu glorioso nombre. 14 Pero ¿quién soy yo y quién es mi pueblo para que podamos ofrecer tan generosamente todo esto? Porque de Ti proceden todas las cosas, y de lo recibido de Tu mano te damos. 15 Porque somos extranjeros(N) y peregrinos delante de Ti, como lo fueron todos nuestros padres; como una sombra son nuestros días sobre la tierra(O), y no hay esperanza. 16 Oh Señor, Dios nuestro, toda esta abundancia que hemos preparado para edificarte una casa para Tu santo nombre procede de Tu mano, y todo es Tuyo. 17 Sabiendo yo, Dios mío, que Tú pruebas el corazón(P) y te deleitas en la rectitud, yo he ofrecido voluntariamente todas estas cosas en la integridad de mi corazón(Q); y ahora he visto con alegría a Tu pueblo, que está aquí, hacer sus ofrendas a Ti voluntariamente. 18 Oh Señor, Dios de nuestros padres Abraham, Isaac e Israel, preserva esto para siempre en las intenciones del corazón de Tu pueblo, y dirige su corazón hacia Ti. 19 Dale a mi hijo Salomón un corazón perfecto para que guarde Tus mandamientos, Tus testimonios y Tus estatutos, para que los cumpla todos(R) y edifique el templo[b], para el cual he provisto(S)».
20 Entonces David dijo a toda la asamblea: «Bendigan ahora al Señor su Dios». Y toda la asamblea bendijo al Señor(T), al Dios de sus padres, y se inclinaron y se postraron ante el Señor y ante el rey(U).
21 Al día siguiente sacrificaron víctimas al Señor y le ofrecieron holocaustos: 1,000 novillos, 1,000 carneros y 1,000 corderos, con sus libaciones y sacrificios en abundancia por todo Israel(V). 22 Comieron, pues, y bebieron aquel día delante del Señor con gran alegría.
Y por segunda vez proclamaron rey a Salomón(W), hijo de David, y lo ungieron como príncipe para el Señor, y a Sadoc como sacerdote(X). 23 Entonces Salomón se sentó en el trono del Señor como rey en lugar de su padre David; prosperó y todo Israel le obedeció(Y). 24 Y todos los oficiales, los hombres valientes, y también todos los hijos del rey David juraron obediencia al rey Salomón. 25 El Señor engrandeció en gran manera a Salomón ante los ojos de todo Israel(Z), y le dio un reinado glorioso como nunca había tenido ningún rey en Israel antes de él(AA).
26 David, hijo de Isaí, reinó sobre todo Israel(AB); 27 el tiempo que reinó sobre Israel fue de cuarenta años; reinó en Hebrón siete años y en Jerusalén reinó treinta y tres(AC). 28 Y murió en buena vejez(AD), lleno de días, riquezas y gloria; y su hijo Salomón reinó en su lugar(AE). 29 Los hechos del rey David, desde el primero hasta el último, están escritos en las crónicas del vidente Samuel(AF), en las crónicas del profeta Natán(AG) y en las crónicas del vidente Gad(AH), 30 con todo su reinado, su poder y todos los acontecimientos que vinieron sobre él, sobre Israel y sobre todos los reinos de aquellas tierras.
