大卫对所罗门的嘱咐
28 大卫召以色列的众首领到耶路撒冷。于是，各支派的首领、各班将领、千夫长、百夫长、负责王和王子的财产及牲畜的官员、宫廷侍臣、显贵和勇士都来了， 2 大卫王站起来说：“我的弟兄，我的人民啊，请听我说。我本想建造一座殿宇安放耶和华的约柜，作我们上帝的脚凳，我已准备好建造的材料。 3 但上帝对我说，‘你不可为我的名建造殿宇，因为你是个战士，曾流过人的血。’ 4 以色列的上帝耶和华从我父亲家中拣选我做以色列的王，直到永远。因为祂拣选了犹大支派做首领；在犹大支派中，祂拣选了我父亲家；在我父亲的众子中，祂喜悦我，立我做以色列的王。 5 耶和华赐给我许多儿子，祂在我众子中拣选了所罗门，让他坐以色列的王位，治理耶和华的国。 6 耶和华对我说，‘你儿子所罗门必建造我的殿宇和庭院，因为我拣选他做我的儿子，我也必做他的父亲。 7 倘若他像今天一样继续坚守我的诫命和典章，我必使他的国度永远稳固。’ 8 现在，当着耶和华的会众——全体以色列人的面，趁着我们的上帝在垂听，你们要谨遵你们的上帝耶和华的一切诫命，以便你们可以拥有这片佳美之地，并且把它传给你们的子孙作永远的产业。
9 “我儿所罗门啊，你要认识你父亲的上帝耶和华，诚心乐意地事奉祂，因为祂洞察人心，知道人一切的心思意念。倘若你寻求祂，祂必让你寻见；倘若你背弃祂，祂必永远丢弃你。 10 现在你要谨慎，因为耶和华拣选你来建造殿宇作圣所。你要坚定不移地去做。”
11 大卫将殿的走廊、房舍、库房、楼房、内室和安放施恩座的圣所的图样都交给所罗门， 12 又将心里构想的耶和华殿的院子、四周的房屋、殿的库房和圣物库房的图样都交给他。 13 大卫还让他知道祭司和利未人的班次、耶和华殿里各样的工作及一切所需的器皿， 14 制造各种金器银器所需金银的分量—— 15 金灯台和金灯的分量，银灯台和银灯的分量——按每座灯台的用途酌定金银的分量， 16 放供饼的金桌子的分量，银桌子的分量， 17 纯金的叉子、碗、瓶的分量，每个金碗和银碗的分量， 18 纯金香坛的分量，以及在施恩座上展开翅膀遮盖耶和华约柜的基路伯天使的样式。 19 大卫说：“以上这一切都是耶和华亲手指示我的，让我明白工作的细节。”

28 (A)Dawudi n’akuŋŋaanya abakungu bonna aba Isirayiri e Yerusaalemi ng’omwo mwe muli abakulu b’ebika, n’abakulu b’ebitongole abaaweerezanga kabaka, n’abaduumizi ab’olukumi, n’abaduumizi ab’ekikumi, n’abakungu abaavunaanyizibwanga eby’obugagga n’amagana ebyali ebya kabaka ne batabani be, n’abakungu ab’omu lubiri, n’abasajja ab’amaanyi era n’abasajja bonna abazira.
2 (B)Awo kabaka Dawudi n’ayimirira n’ayogera nti, “Mumpulirize baganda bange era abantu bange. Nnali nteseeteese mu mutima gwange okuzimbira essanduuko ey’endagaano ya Mukama n’entebe ey’ebigere bya Katonda, ennyumba, era nga nentegeka eyaayo ewedde okukolebwa. 3 (C)Naye Katonda n’aŋŋamba nti, ‘Tolinzimbira linnya lyange nnyumba, kubanga oli mutabaazi wa ntalo era wayiwa omusaayi.’
4 (D)“Naye ate Mukama Katonda wa Isirayiri yannonda mu nnyumba ya kitange yonna okuba kabaka wa Isirayiri emirembe gyonna. Yalonda Yuda okuba omukulembeze, ne mu nnyumba ya Yuda n’alondamu ennyumba ya kitange, ne mu batabani ba kitange n’asiima okunfuula kabaka wa Isirayiri yenna. 5 (E)Mu batabani bange bonna, kubanga Mukama ampadde bangi, Sulemaani mutabani wange gw’alonze okutuula ku ntebe ey’obwakabaka bwa Mukama mu Isirayiri. 6 (F)Yaŋŋamba nti, ‘Sulemaani mutabani wo y’alizimba ennyumba yange n’empya zange, kubanga mmulonze okuba omwana wange, era nange n’abeeranga kitaawe. 7 (G)Ndinyweza obwakabaka bwe emirembe gyonna, bwatalirekayo okugondera ebiragiro byange n’amateeka gange nga bwe bigobelerwa mu nnaku zino.’
8 (H)“Kaakano nkukuutira mu lujjudde lwonna olwa Isirayiri, ekuŋŋaaniro lya Mukama, ne Katonda waffe ng’awulira, nti weekuume okugondera ebiragiro ebya Mukama Katonda wo, olyoke olye ensi eno ennungi era (n’abazzukulu) n’abaana ab’obusika bwo bagisikirenga emirembe gyonna.
9 (I)“Era Sulemaani mutabani wange tegeera Katonda wa kitaawo, omuweerezenga n’omutima gumu n’emmeeme yo yonna, kubanga Mukama akebera emitima, era ategeera okufumiitiriza okw’ebirowoozo. Bw’onoomunoonyanga, onoomulabanga, naye bw’onoomulekanga, anaakuvangako emirembe gyonna. 10 Kaakano weekuume, kubanga Mukama akulonze okuzimba ennyumba ey’okusinzizangamu. Ba n’amaanyi, okole omulimu.”

19 (Q)Awo Dawudi n’ayogera nti, “Ebyo byonna biri mu buwandiike, kubanga omukono gwa Mukama gwali wamu nange, era yampa okukitegeerera ddala.”
20 (R)Dawudi n’ayongera n’agamba Sulemaani mutabani we nti, “Ba n’amaanyi era guma omwoyo, okole omulimu. Totya so totekemuka wadde okuggwamu omwoyo, kubanga Mukama Katonda, Katonda wange ali wamu naawe. Taakwabulirenga so taakulekenga okutuusa omulimu gwonna ogw’okuweereza ogwa yeekaalu ye Mukama nga guwedde. 21 (S)Era, laba, ebibiina bya bakabona n’Abaleevi beeteefuteefu okukola omulimu ku yeekaalu ya Katonda, na buli musajja omumanyirivu mu kuweesa okw’engeri zonna anaakuyamba mu mulimu gwonna. Era n’abakungu wamu n’abantu bonna banaagonderanga buli kiragiro kyo.”

28 3 Because David was forbidden to build the Temple, he willeth Solomon and the people to perform it. 8 Exhorting him to fear the Lord.
1 Now David assembled all the princes of Israel: the princes of the tribes, and the captains of the bands that served the King, and the captains of thousands, and the captains of hundreds, and the rulers of all the substance and possession of the king, and of his sons, with the [a]eunuchs, and the mighty, and all the men of power, unto Jerusalem.
2 And King David stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear ye me, my brethren and my people: I purposed to have built an house of [b]rest for the Ark of the covenant of the Lord, and for a (A)footstool of our God, and have made ready for the building,
3 But God said unto me, (B)Thou shalt not build an house for my Name, because thou hast been a man of war, and hast shed blood.
4 Yet as the Lord God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father, to be King over Israel forever (for in Judah would he choose a prince, and of the house of [c]Judah is the house of my father, and among the sons of my father he delighted in me to make me king over all Israel)
5 So of all my sons (for the Lord hath given me many sons) he hath even chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel.
6 And he said unto me, Solomon thy son, he shall build mine house and my courts: for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.
7 I will establish therefore his kingdom forever, if he endeavor himself to do my commandments, and my judgments, as [d]this day.
8 Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the Lord, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the Lord your God, that ye may possess this [e]good land, and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you [f]forever.
9 And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart, and with a willing mind: (C)For the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee, but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off forever.
10 Take heed now, for the Lord hath chosen thee to build [g]the house of the Sanctuary: be strong therefore and [h]do it.
11 ¶ Then David gave to Solomon his son the pattern of the porch and of the houses thereof, and of the closets thereof, and of the galleries thereof, and of the chambers thereof that are within, and of the house of the mercy seat,
12 And the pattern of all that [i]he had in his mind for the courts of the house of the Lord, and for all the chambers round about, for the treasures of the house of God, and for the treasures of the dedicate things,
13 And for the courses of the Priests, and of the Levites, and for all the work for the service of the house of the Lord, and for all the vessels of the ministry of the house of the Lord.
14 He gave of gold by weight, for the vessels of gold, for all the vessels of all manner of service, and all the vessels of silver by weight, for all manner vessels of all manner of service.
15 The weight also of gold for the [j]candlesticks, and gold for their lamps, with the weight for every candlestick, and for the lamps thereof, and for the candlesticks of silver by the weight of the candlestick, and the lamps thereof according to the use of every candlestick,
16 And the weight of the gold for the tables of showbread, for every table, and silver for the tables of silver,
17 And pure gold for the fleshhooks, and the bowls, and [k]plates, and for basins, gold in weight for every basin, and for silver basins, by weight for every basin,
18 And for the altar of incense, pure gold by weight, and gold for the pattern of [l]the chariot of the Cherubs that spread themselves, and covered the Ark of the covenant of the Lord:
19 All, said he, by writing sent to me [m]by the hand of the Lord, which made me understand all the workmanship of the pattern.
20 And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of a valiant courage, and do it: fear not, nor be afraid: for the Lord God, even my God is with thee: he will not leave thee, nor forsake thee, till thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord.
21 Behold also, the companies of the Priests and the Levites for all the service of the house of God, even they shall be with thee for the whole work, [n]with every free heart that is skillful in any manner of service. The princes also and all the people will be [o]wholly at thy commandment.
