25 Så skilte David og hærførerne ut til gudstjenesten Asafs og Hemans og Jedutuns sønner, som i profetisk begeistring[a] spilte på citarer, harper og cymbler. Dette er listen over de menn som denne tjeneste var pålagt:
2 Av Asafs barn Sakkur og Josef og Netanja og Asarela, Asafs sønner, under ledelse av Asaf, som spilte i profetisk begeistring efter kongens forskrift;
3 av Jedutun, det er Jedutuns sønner: Gedalja og Seri og Jesaja, Hasabja og Mattitja, seks[b] i tallet, med citarer, under ledelse av deres far Jedutun, som spilte i profetisk begeistring til Herrens lov og pris;

6 Alle disse stod under sin fars ledelse ved sangen i Herrens hus; de spilte på cymbler, harper og citarer ved tjenesten i Guds hus, under ledelse av kongen, Asaf og Jedutun og Heman.
7 Og tallet på dem og deres brødre som var oplært i sangen for Herren, alle dem som var kyndige deri, var to hundre og åtte og åtti.
8 Og de kastet lodd om hvad de skulde ivareta, den minste så vel som den største, læreren så vel som lærlingen.
9 Det første lodd kom ut for Asaf, det vil si for Josef; Gedalja blev den annen, han selv med sine brødre og sønner, tolv i tallet;
10 den tredje blev Sakkur med sine sønner og brødre, tolv i tallet;
11 det fjerde lodd kom ut for Jisri, med hans sønner og brødre, tolv i tallet;
12 den femte blev Netanja med sine sønner og brødre, tolv i tallet;
13 den sjette blev Bukkia med sine sønner og brødre, tolv i tallet;
14 den syvende blev Jesarela med sine sønner og brødre, tolv i tallet;
15 den åttende blev Jesaia med sine sønner og brødre, tolv i tallet;
16 den niende blev Mattanja med sine sønner og brødre, tolv i tallet;
17 den tiende blev Sime'i med sine sønner og brødre, tolv i tallet;
18 den ellevte blev Asarel med sine sønner og brødre, tolv i tallet;
19 det tolvte lodd kom ut for Hasabja, med hans sønner og brødre, tolv i tallet;
20 den trettende blev Subael med sine sønner og brødre, tolv i tallet;
21 den fjortende blev Mattitja med sine sønner og brødre, tolv i tallet;
22 det femtende lodd kom ut for Jeremot, med hans sønner og brødre, tolv i tallet;
23 det sekstende for Hananja, med hans sønner og brødre, tolv i tallet;
24 det syttende for Josbekasa, med hans sønner og brødre, tolv i tallet;
25 det attende for Hanani, med hans sønner og brødre, tolv i tallet;
26 det nittende for Malloti, med hans sønner og brødre, tolv i tallet;
27 det tyvende for Eliata, med hans sønner og brødre, tolv i tallet;
28 det en og tyvende for Hotir, med hans sønner og brødre, tolv i tallet;
29 det to og tyvende for Giddalti, med hans sønner og brødre, tolv i tallet;
30 det tre og tyvende for Mahasiot, med hans sønner og brødre, tolv i tallet;
31 det fire og tyvende for Romamti-Eser, med hans sønner og brødre, tolv i tallet.
26 Vedkommende dørvokternes skifter, så hørte til korahittene Meselemja, Kores sønn, av Asafs barn.
2 Og Meselemjas sønner var: Sakarja, den førstefødte, Jediael, den annen, Sebadja, den tredje, Jatniel, den fjerde,
3 Elam, den femte, Johanan, den sjette, Eljoenai, den syvende.
4 Obed-Edoms sønner var: Semaja, den førstefødte, Josabad, den annen, Joah, den tredje, og Sakar, den fjerde, og Netanel, den femte,
5 Ammiel, den sjette, Issakar, den syvende, Pe'ulletai, den åttende; for Gud hadde velsignet ham.
6 Hans sønn Semaja fikk og sønner, som blev de rådende i sin ætt; for de var dyktige menn.
7 Semajas sønner var: Otni og Refael og Obed, Elsabad og hans brødre, dyktige menn, Elihu og Semakja.
8 Alle disse var efterkommere av Obed-Edom, både de og deres sønner og brødre, dyktige og sterke menn til tjenesten - i alt to og seksti efterkommere av Obed-Edom.
9 Meselemja hadde også sønner og brødre, dyktige menn - i alt atten.
10 Sønnene til Hosa, som hørte til Meraris barn, var: Simri, overhodet - for vel var han ikke den førstefødte, men hans far satte ham til å være overhode -
11 Hilkia, den annen, Tebalja, den tredje, Sakarja, den fjerde; Hosas sønner og brødre var i alt tretten.
12 Disse dørvokter-skifter, det vil si deres overhoder, pålå det å gjøre vakttjeneste i Herrens hus sammen med sine brødre.
13 Og de kastet lodd om hver port, den minste som den største, efter sine familier.
14 Loddet mot øst falt på Selemja; også for hans sønn Sakarja, en klok rådgiver, kastet de lodd, og hans lodd kom ut mot nord.
15 For Obed-Edom falt loddet mot syd, og for hans sønner falt det ved forrådshuset.
16 For Suppim og Hosa falt loddet mot vest ved Salleket-porten på allfarveien som går opover, den ene vaktpost ved den andre.
17 Mot øst stod seks levitter, mot nord hver dag fire, mot syd hver dag fire, og ved forrådshuset to og to.
18 Ved Parbar mot vest stod fire ved veien og to ved selve Parbar.
19 Dette var dørvokternes skifter av korahittenes barn og av Meraris barn.
20 Av levittene hadde Akia opsyn over skattene i Guds hus og over de til Herren helligede ting.
21 Ladans sønner, gersonittenes efterkommere gjennem Ladan, overhodene for gersonitten Ladans familier, var jehielittene.
22 Jehielittenes sønner Setam og hans bror Joel hadde opsyn over skattene i Herrens hus.
23 Vedkommende amramittene, jisharittene, hebronittene, ossielittene,
24 så var Sebuel, sønn av Moses' sønn Gersom, overopsynsmann over skattene.
25 Og hans frender av Eliesers ætt var Eliesers sønn Rehabja Og hans sønn Jesaja og hans sønn Joram Og hans sønn Sikri Og hans sønn Selomot.
26 Denne Selomot Og hans brødre hadde opsyn over alle de til Herren helligede ting, som kong David og familiehodene blandt høvedsmennene over tusen og over hundre og hærførerne hadde helliget;
27 efter krigene hadde de helliget det av hærfanget for å sette Herrens hus i stand.
28 Og alt det seeren Samuel og Saul, Kis' sønn, og Abner, Ners sønn, og Joab, Serujas sønn, hadde helliget - alt som nogen hadde helliget - var under opsyn av Selomit og hans brødre.

The Musicians
25 Moreover David and the captains of the army separated for the service some of the sons of (A)Asaph, of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, stringed instruments, and cymbals. And the number of the skilled men performing their service was: 2 Of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and [a]Asharelah; the sons of Asaph were [b]under the direction of Asaph, who prophesied according to the order of the king. 3 Of (B)Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, [c]Zeri, Jeshaiah, [d]Shimei, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, [e]six, under the direction of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with a harp to give thanks and to praise the Lord. 4 Of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, [f]Uzziel, [g]Shebuel, [h]Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth. 5 All these were the sons of Heman the king’s seer in the words of God, to [i]exalt his (C)horn. For God gave Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.
6 All these were under the direction of their father for the music in the house of the Lord, with cymbals, stringed instruments, and (D)harps, for the service of the house of God. Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman were (E)under the authority of the king. 7 So the (F)number of them, with their brethren who were instructed in the songs of the Lord, all who were skillful, was two hundred and eighty-eight.
8 And they cast lots for their duty, the small as well as the great, (G)the teacher with the student.

The Gatekeepers
26 Concerning the divisions of the gatekeepers: of the Korahites, [o]Meshelemiah the son of (H)Kore, of the sons of [p]Asaph. 2 And the sons of Meshelemiah were (I)Zechariah the firstborn, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth, 3 Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Eliehoenai the seventh.
4 Moreover the sons of (J)Obed-Edom were Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, Sacar the fourth, Nethanel the fifth, 5 Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peulthai the eighth; for God blessed him.
6 Also to Shemaiah his son were sons born who governed their fathers’ houses, because they were men of great ability. 7 The sons of Shemaiah were Othni, Rephael, Obed, and Elzabad, whose brothers Elihu and Semachiah were able men.
8 All these were of the sons of Obed-Edom, they and their sons and their brethren, (K)able men with strength for the work: sixty-two of Obed-Edom.
9 And Meshelemiah had sons and brethren, eighteen able men.
10 Also (L)Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons: Shimri the first (for though he was not the firstborn, his father made him the first), 11 Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth; all the sons and brethren of Hosah were thirteen.
12 Among these were the divisions of the gatekeepers, among the chief men, having duties just like their brethren, to serve in the house of the Lord. 13 And they (M)cast lots for each gate, the small as well as the great, according to their father’s house. 14 The lot for the East Gate fell to [q]Shelemiah. Then they cast lots for his son Zechariah, a wise counselor, and his lot came out for the North Gate; 15 to Obed-Edom the South Gate, and to his sons the [r]storehouse. 16 To Shuppim and Hosah the lot came out for the West Gate, with the Shallecheth Gate on the (N)ascending highway—watchman opposite watchman. 17 On the east were six Levites, on the north four each day, on the south four each day, and for the [s]storehouse two by two. 18 As for the [t]Parbar on the west, there were four on the highway and two at the Parbar. 19 These were the divisions of the gatekeepers among the sons of Korah and among the sons of Merari.
The Treasuries and Other Duties
20 Of the Levites, Ahijah was (O)over the treasuries of the house of God and over the treasuries of the (P)dedicated[u] things. 21 The sons of [v]Laadan, the descendants of the Gershonites of Laadan, heads of their fathers’ houses, of Laadan the Gershonite: [w]Jehieli. 22 The sons of Jehieli, Zetham and Joel his brother, were over the treasuries of the house of the Lord. 23 Of the (Q)Amramites, the Izharites, the Hebronites, and the Uzzielites: 24 (R)Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was overseer of the treasuries. 25 And his brethren by Eliezer were Rehabiah his son, Jeshaiah his son, Joram his son, Zichri his son, and (S)Shelomith his son.
26 This Shelomith and his brethren were over all the treasuries of the dedicated things (T)which King David and the heads of fathers’ houses, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the army, had dedicated. 27 Some of the [x]spoils won in battles they dedicated to maintain the house of the Lord. 28 And all that Samuel (U)the seer, Saul the son of Kish, Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah had dedicated, every dedicated thing, was under the hand of Shelomith and his brethren.
29 Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons (V)performed duties as (W)officials and judges over Israel outside Jerusalem.
30 Of the Hebronites, (X)Hashabiah and his brethren, one thousand seven hundred able men, had the oversight of Israel on the west side of the Jordan for all the business of the Lord, and in the service of the king. 31 Among the Hebronites, (Y)Jerijah was head of the Hebronites according to his genealogy of the fathers. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought, and there were found among them capable men (Z)at Jazer of Gilead. 32 And his brethren were two thousand seven hundred able men, heads of fathers’ houses, whom King David made officials over the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, for every matter pertaining to God and the (AA)affairs of the king.

Các Ca Nhạc Sĩ Trong Đền Thờ
25 Vua Đa-vít cùng với những người chỉ huy quân đội cũng tách riêng một số con cháu A-sáp, Hê-man và Giê-đu-thun cho công việc phục dịch; những người này nói tiên tri với tiếng đàn hạc, đàn lia và chập chỏa phụ họa. Danh sách những người phục dịch như sau:
2 Các con trai của A-sáp:
Xác-cua, Giô-sép, Nê-tha-nia, và A-sa-rê-la. Các con trai A-sáp phục vụ dưới quyền của ông, còn chính A-sáp thì nói tiên tri dưới quyền vua.
3 Các con trai của Giê-đu-thun:
Ghê-đa-lia, Xê-ri, I-sa, Ha-sa-bia, Ma-ti-thia, và Si-mê-i, sáu người tất cả phục vụ dưới quyền cha mình. Giê-đu-thun nói tiên tri với đàn hạc phụ họa để cảm tạ, ca ngợi CHÚA.

9 Thăm thứ nhất rơi nhằm Giô-sép thuộc dòng A-sáp; thăm thứ nhì trúng Ghê-đa-lia, những người họ hàng và các con người, tất cả 12 người.

26 Các ban của những người giữ cổng như sau:
Về dòng Kô-rê có Mê-sê-lê-mi, con trai của Kô-rê, một trong những con cháu của A-sáp.
2 Mê-sê-lê-mi có các con trai là:
Xa-cha-ri, con trưởng nam,
Giê-đi-a-ên, con thứ nhì,
Xê-ba-đia thứ ba
Giát-ni-ên thứ tư,
3 Ê-lam thứ năm,
Giô-ha-nan thứ sáu,
và Ê-li-ô-ê-nai thứ bảy.
4 Các con trai của Ô-bết-Ê-đôm là
Sê-ma-gia, con trưởng nam,
Giê-hô-sa-bát thứ nhì,
Giô-a thứ ba,
Sa-ca thứ tư,
Nê-tha-nên thứ năm,
5 A-mi-ên thứ sáu,
Y-sa-ca thứ bảy,
và Phê-u-lê-tai thứ tám;
vì Đức Chúa Trời ban phước cho Ô-bết-Ê-đôm.
6 Con người là Sê-ma-gia cũng có các con trai lãnh đạo các tộc mình vì chúng là những người dũng mãnh. 7 Các con trai của Sê-ma-gia là Ốt-ni, Rê-pha-ên, Ô-bết, Ên-xa-bát; các anh em họ là Ê-li-hu và Sê-ma-kia đều là những người dũng mãnh. 8 Tất cả những người này đều là con cháu Ô-bết-Ê-đôm; họ, con cái và họ hàng đều là những người dũng mãnh, có khả năng làm việc; có 62 người thuộc dòng dõi Ô-bết-ê-đôm.
9 Mê-sê-lê-mi có các con trai và những người họ hàng, cả thảy là 18 người, đều là những người dũng mãnh.
10 Hô-sa thuộc dòng Mê-ra-ri có các con trai: Sim-ri là trưởng dù người không phải là con đầu nhưng cha người lập người làm con trưởng. 11 Hinh-kia thứ nhì, Tê-ba-lia thứ ba, Xa-cha-ri thứ tư. Tất cả các con trai và họ hàng của Hô-sa là 13 người.
12 Đây là các ban giữ cổng cùng những người trưởng ban; họ cũng như các anh em mình có nhiệm vụ phục vụ đền thờ CHÚA. 13 Họ theo từng tộc, trẻ cũng như già đều bắt thăm nhận cổng.
14 Thăm cho cổng Đông trúng nhằm Sê-lê-mia; thăm về cổng Bắc trúng vào Xa-cha-ri, con Sê-lê-mia, một cố vấn khôn ngoan. 15 Thăm cho cổng Nam trúng vào Ô-bết-Ê-đôm còn thăm về nhà kho nhằm các con trai ông. 16 Súp-bim và Hô-sa được cổng Tây với cửa Sa-lê-kết ở trên con đường dốc. Trạm canh này liền với trạm canh kia: 17 Mỗi ngày có 6 người Lê-vi canh cổng Đông, 4 người canh cổng Bắc, 4 người canh cổng Nam và các nhà kho, 2 người mỗi nhà kho. 18 Về khu phụ thuộc[a] phía tây, 4 người canh ngoài đường và 2 người ở trong khu vực.
19 Đó là những ban canh cổng theo dòng dõi Kô-rê và Mê-ra-ri.
Những Người Quản Lý Nhà Kho Và Thẩm Phán
20 Trong vòng người Lê-vi, A-hi-gia lo việc quản lý các nhà kho đền thờ Đức Chúa Trời và kho chứa các vật thánh.
21 Các con cháu của La-đan thuộc tộc Ghẹt-sôn; trưởng tộc họ La-đan, thuộc tộc Ghẹt-sôn là Giê-hi-ên. 22 Các con trai của Giê-hi-ên là Xê-tham và Giô-ên, em người, quản lý các kho tàng đền thờ CHÚA.
23 Trong các dòng Am-ram, Dít-sê-ha, Hếp-rôn và U-xi-ên,
24 có Sê-bu-ên, con cháu Ghẹt-sôn, thuộc dòng dõi Môi-se là viên chức quản lý kho tàng. 25 Các họ hàng của người theo tộc Ê-li-ê-se: Rê-ha-bia, con người, I-sa, con người, Giô-ram, con người, Xiếc-ri, con người, Sê-lô-mi, con người. 26 Sê-lô-mi và các anh em người quản lý các nhà kho chứa đồ thánh mà vua Đa-vít, các trưởng tộc, các người chỉ huy ngàn quân và trăm quân cùng các người chỉ huy quân đội dâng hiến. 27 Người ta cũng lấy các chiến lợi phẩm trong chiến trận sung vào kho để tu bổ đền thờ CHÚA. 28 Tất cả những vật mà Sa-mu-ên, vị tiên kiến, vua Sau-lơ con trai của Kích, Áp-ne con trai của Nê-rơ, Giô-áp con trai của Xê-ru-gia và mọi người khác dâng hiến đều do Sê-lô-mi và anh em người quản lý.
29 Trong dòng Dít-sê-ha có Kê-na-nia và các con trai người được lập lên làm viên chức và thẩm phán trên Y-sơ-ra-ên, có nhiệm vụ cai quản những việc bên ngoài đền thờ.
30 Trong dòng Hếp-rôn có Ha-sa-bia và họ hàng người, là những người có khả năng, con số lên đến 1,700 người; họ cai quản Y-sơ-ra-ên về phía tây sông Giô-đanh trong mọi công việc của CHÚA cũng như phục dịch vua. 31 Về dòng Hếp-rôn, Giê-ri-gia là trưởng tộc theo gia phả của gia đình. Vào năm thứ bốn mươi dưới triều vua Đa-vít, người ta tra cứu và thấy giữa vòng dòng họ Hếp-rôn có những người có khả năng tại Gia-ê-xe trong vùng Ga-la-át. 32 Những người họ hàng của Giê-ri-gia gồm 2,700 người có khả năng, là trưởng tộc, được vua Đa-vít lập lên cai quản người Ru-bên, người Gát và một nửa bộ tộc Ma-na-se trong mọi công việc của Đức Chúa Trời lẫn của vua.
