Hijos de Israel(A)

Los hijos de Israel fueron Rubén, Simeón, Leví, Judá, Isacar, Zabulón, Dan, José, Benjamín, Neftalí, Gad y Aser.

Descendientes de Judá(B)

Hijos de Judá: Er, Onán y Selá. Estos tres le nacieron de una cananea que era hija de Súaj. Er, primogénito de Judá, hizo lo que ofende al Señor, y el Señor le quitó la vida. Y Tamar, nuera de Judá, le dio a este dos hijos: Fares y Zera. En total, Judá tuvo cinco hijos.

Hijos de Fares: Jezrón y Jamul.

Los hijos de Zera fueron cinco en total: Zimri, Etán, Hemán, Calcol y Dardá.[a]

El hijo de Carmí fue Acar,[b] quien provocó la desgracia sobre Israel por haber violado el mandato de Dios de destruirlo todo.

El hijo de Etán fue Azarías.

Hijos de Jezrón: Jeramel, Ram y Quelubay.[c]

10 Ram fue el padre de Aminadab, y este lo fue de Naasón, príncipe de los judíos.

11 Naasón fue el padre de Salmón,[d] y este lo fue de Booz.

12 Booz fue el padre de Obed, y este lo fue de Isaí. 13 El primer hijo de Isaí fue Eliab; el segundo, Abinadab; el tercero, Simá; 14 el cuarto, Natanael; el quinto, Raday; 15 el sexto, Ozén; y el séptimo, David. 16 Las hermanas de ellos fueron Sarvia y Abigaíl. Los hijos de Sarvia fueron tres: Abisay, Joab y Asael. 17 Abigaíl fue la madre de Amasá hijo de Jéter, el ismaelita.

18 Caleb hijo de Jezrón tuvo hijos con su esposa Azuba y con Jeriot. Estos fueron sus hijos: Jéser, Sobab y Ardón. 19 Cuando Azuba murió, Caleb tomó por esposa a Efrata, con la que tuvo a su hijo Jur.

20 Jur fue el padre de Uri, y este lo fue de Bezalel.

21 Cuando Jezrón tenía sesenta años, tomó por esposa a una hija de Maquir, padre de Galaad, y tuvo con ella a su hijo Segub. 22 Segub fue el padre de Yaír, y fue dueño de veintitrés ciudades en la tierra de Galaad. 23 Pero Guesur y Aram le quitaron los campamentos de Yaír y Quenat, y sus aldeas. En total, le quitaron sesenta pueblos. Todos estos fueron los descendientes de Maquir, padre de Galaad.

24 Después de que Jezrón murió en Caleb Efrata, Abías, la esposa de Jezrón, dio a luz a Asur, padre[e] de Tecoa.

25 Los hijos de Jeramel, primogénito de Jezrón, fueron Ram, el mayor, Buná, Orén, Ozén y Ahías. 26 Jeramel tuvo otra esposa, la cual se llamaba Atará. Esta fue la madre de Onam.

27 Los hijos de Ram, primogénito de Jeramel, fueron Maaz, Jamín y Équer.

28 Hijos de Onam: Samay y Yada.

Hijos de Samay: Nadab y Abisur. 29 La esposa de Abisur se llamaba Abijaíl, con la que tuvo a Ajbán y Molid.

30 Hijos de Nadab: Séled y Apayin. Séled murió sin tener hijos.

31 El hijo de Apayin fue Isí, el hijo de Isí fue Sesán y el hijo de Sesán fue Ajlay.

32 Los hijos de Yada, hermano de Samay, fueron Jéter y Jonatán. Jéter murió sin tener hijos.

33 Hijos de Jonatán: Pélet y Zazá.

Estos fueron los descendientes de Jeramel.

34 Sesán no tuvo hijos, sino hijas, y tenía un esclavo egipcio llamado Yarjá. 35 A este le dio por esposa una de sus hijas, la cual fue la madre de Atay.

36 Atay fue el padre de Natán,

Natán fue el padre de Zabad,

37 Zabad fue el padre de Eflal,

Eflal fue el padre de Obed,

38 Obed fue el padre de Jehú,

Jehú fue el padre de Azarías,

39 Azarías fue el padre de Heles,

Heles fue el padre de Elasá,

40 Elasá fue el padre de Sismay,

Sismay fue el padre de Salún,

41 Salún fue el padre de Jecamías,

y Jecamías fue el padre de Elisama.

Descendientes de Caleb

42 Los hijos de Caleb, hermano de Jeramel, fueron: Mesá, el primogénito, que fue el padre de Zif; y Maresá, que fue el padre de Hebrón.

43 Hijos de Hebrón: Coré, Tapúaj, Requen y Semá.

44 Semá fue el padre de Raham, que fue el padre de Jorcoán.

Requen fue el padre de Samay.

45 Samay fue el padre de Maón.

Maón fue el padre de Betsur.

46 Efá, concubina de Caleb, fue la madre de Jarán, Mosá y Gazez. Jarán fue el padre de Gazez.

47 Hijos de Yaday: Reguen, Jotán, Guesán, Pélet, Efá y Sagaf.

48 Macá, concubina de Caleb, fue la madre de Séber y de Tirjaná, 49 y también de Sagaf, que fue el padre de Madmana; y de Seva, que fue el padre de Macbena y de Guibeá. Además, Caleb tuvo una hija llamada Acsa.

50 Estos fueron los descendientes de Caleb.

Los hijos de Jur, primogénito de Efrata, fueron: Sobal, padre de Quiriat Yearín; 51 Salmá, padre de Belén, y Jaref, padre de Bet Gader.

52 Los hijos de Sobal, padre de Quiriat Yearín, fueron: Haroé, la mitad de los manajatitas, 53 las familias de Quiriat Yearín, los itritas, los futitas, los sumatitas y los misraítas, de quienes proceden los zoratitas y los estaolitas.

54 Hijos de Salmá: Belén, los netofatitas, Aterot Bet Joab, la mitad de los manajatitas, los zoreítas, 55 y las familias de los escribas que vivían en Jabés, es decir, los tirateos, los simateos y los sucateos. Estos fueron los quenitas, descendientes de Jamat, padre de la familia de Recab.

The Sons of Israel and the Descendants of Judah

These are the sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher. The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, and Shelah; these three the Canaanite woman Bath-shua bore to him. Now Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the Lord, and he put him to death. His daughter-in-law Tamar also bore him Perez and Zerah. Judah had five sons in all.

The sons of Perez: Hezron and Hamul. The sons of Zerah: Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and Dara,[a] five in all. The sons of Carmi: Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the matter of the devoted thing; and Ethan’s son was Azariah.

The sons of Hezron, who were born to him: Jerahmeel, Ram, and Chelubai. 10 Ram became the father of Amminadab, and Amminadab became the father of Nahshon, prince of the sons of Judah. 11 Nahshon became the father of Salma, Salma of Boaz, 12 Boaz of Obed, Obed of Jesse. 13 Jesse became the father of Eliab his firstborn, Abinadab the second, Shimea the third, 14 Nethanel the fourth, Raddai the fifth, 15 Ozem the sixth, David the seventh; 16 and their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. The sons of Zeruiah: Abishai, Joab, and Asahel, three. 17 Abigail bore Amasa, and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmaelite.

18 Caleb son of Hezron had children by his wife Azubah, and by Jerioth; these were her sons: Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon. 19 When Azubah died, Caleb married Ephrath, who bore him Hur. 20 Hur became the father of Uri, and Uri became the father of Bezalel.

21 Afterwards Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir father of Gilead, whom he married when he was sixty years old; and she bore him Segub; 22 and Segub became the father of Jair, who had twenty-three towns in the land of Gilead. 23 But Geshur and Aram took from them Havvoth-jair, Kenath and its villages, sixty towns. All these were descendants of Machir, father of Gilead. 24 After the death of Hezron, in Caleb-ephrathah, Abijah wife of Hezron bore him Ashhur, father of Tekoa.

25 The sons of Jerahmeel, the firstborn of Hezron: Ram his firstborn, Bunah, Oren, Ozem, and Ahijah. 26 Jerahmeel also had another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam. 27 The sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerahmeel: Maaz, Jamin, and Eker. 28 The sons of Onam: Shammai and Jada. The sons of Shammai: Nadab and Abishur. 29 The name of Abishur’s wife was Abihail, and she bore him Ahban and Molid. 30 The sons of Nadab: Seled and Appaim; and Seled died childless. 31 The son[b] of Appaim: Ishi. The son[c] of Ishi: Sheshan. The son[d] of Sheshan: Ahlai. 32 The sons of Jada, Shammai’s brother: Jether and Jonathan; and Jether died childless. 33 The sons of Jonathan: Peleth and Zaza. These were the descendants of Jerahmeel. 34 Now Sheshan had no sons, only daughters; but Sheshan had an Egyptian slave, whose name was Jarha. 35 So Sheshan gave his daughter in marriage to his slave Jarha; and she bore him Attai. 36 Attai became the father of Nathan, and Nathan of Zabad. 37 Zabad became the father of Ephlal, and Ephlal of Obed. 38 Obed became the father of Jehu, and Jehu of Azariah. 39 Azariah became the father of Helez, and Helez of Eleasah. 40 Eleasah became the father of Sismai, and Sismai of Shallum. 41 Shallum became the father of Jekamiah, and Jekamiah of Elishama.

42 The sons of Caleb brother of Jerahmeel: Mesha[e] his firstborn, who was father of Ziph. The sons of Mareshah father of Hebron. 43 The sons of Hebron: Korah, Tappuah, Rekem, and Shema. 44 Shema became father of Raham, father of Jorkeam; and Rekem became the father of Shammai. 45 The son of Shammai: Maon; and Maon was the father of Beth-zur. 46 Ephah also, Caleb’s concubine, bore Haran, Moza, and Gazez; and Haran became the father of Gazez. 47 The sons of Jahdai: Regem, Jotham, Geshan, Pelet, Ephah, and Shaaph. 48 Maacah, Caleb’s concubine, bore Sheber and Tirhanah. 49 She also bore Shaaph father of Madmannah, Sheva father of Machbenah and father of Gibea; and the daughter of Caleb was Achsah. 50 These were the descendants of Caleb.

The sons[f] of Hur the firstborn of Ephrathah: Shobal father of Kiriath-jearim, 51 Salma father of Bethlehem, and Hareph father of Beth-gader. 52 Shobal father of Kiriath-jearim had other sons: Haroeh, half of the Menuhoth. 53 And the families of Kiriath-jearim: the Ithrites, the Puthites, the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; from these came the Zorathites and the Eshtaolites. 54 The sons of Salma: Bethlehem, the Netophathites, Atroth-beth-joab, and half of the Manahathites, the Zorites. 55 The families also of the scribes that lived at Jabez: the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and the Sucathites. These are the Kenites who came from Hammath, father of the house of Rechab.

The Family of Israel(A)

From Judah to David(D)

The sons of (E)Judah were Er, Onan, and Shelah. These three were born to him by the daughter of (F)Shua, the Canaanitess. (G)Er, the firstborn of Judah, was wicked in the sight of the Lord; so He killed him. And (H)Tamar, his daughter-in-law, (I)bore him Perez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.

The sons of (J)Perez were Hezron and Hamul. The sons of Zerah were [b]Zimri, (K)Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and [c]Dara—five of them in all.

The son of (L)Carmi was [d]Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the (M)accursed[e] thing.

The son of Ethan was Azariah.

Also the sons of Hezron who were born to him were Jerahmeel, [f]Ram, and [g]Chelubai. 10 Ram (N)begot Amminadab, and Amminadab begot Nahshon, (O)leader of the children of Judah; 11 Nahshon begot [h]Salma, and Salma begot Boaz; 12 Boaz begot Obed, and Obed begot Jesse; 13 (P)Jesse begot Eliab his firstborn, Abinadab the second, [i]Shimea the third, 14 Nethanel the fourth, Raddai the fifth, 15 Ozem the sixth, and David the (Q)seventh.

16 Now their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. (R)And the sons of Zeruiah were Abishai, Joab, and Asahel—three. 17 Abigail bore Amasa; and the father of Amasa was [j]Jether the Ishmaelite.

The Family of Hezron

18 Caleb the son of Hezron had children by Azubah, his wife, and by Jerioth. Now these were her sons: Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon. 19 When Azubah died, Caleb [k]took (S)Ephrath[l] as his wife, who bore him Hur. 20 And Hur begot Uri, and Uri begot (T)Bezalel.

21 Now afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of (U)Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was sixty years old; and she bore him Segub. 22 Segub begot (V)Jair,[m] who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead. 23 (W)(Geshur and Syria took from them the towns of Jair, with Kenath and its towns—sixty towns.) All these belonged to the sons of Machir the father of Gilead. 24 After Hezron died in Caleb Ephrathah, Hezron’s wife Abijah bore him (X)Ashhur the father of Tekoa.

The Family of Jerahmeel

25 The sons of Jerahmeel, the firstborn of Hezron, were Ram, the firstborn, and Bunah, Oren, Ozem, and Ahijah. 26 Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam. 27 The sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerahmeel, were Maaz, Jamin, and Eker. 28 The sons of Onam were Shammai and Jada. The sons of Shammai were Nadab and Abishur.

29 And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, and she bore him Ahban and Molid. 30 The sons of Nadab were Seled and Appaim; Seled died without children. 31 The son of Appaim was Ishi, the son of Ishi was Sheshan, and (Y)Sheshan’s son was Ahlai. 32 The sons of Jada, the brother of Shammai, were Jether and Jonathan; Jether died without children. 33 The sons of Jonathan were Peleth and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.

34 Now Sheshan had no sons, only daughters. And Sheshan had an Egyptian servant whose name was Jarha. 35 Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant as wife, and she bore him Attai. 36 Attai begot Nathan, and Nathan begot (Z)Zabad; 37 Zabad begot Ephlal, and Ephlal begot (AA)Obed; 38 Obed begot Jehu, and Jehu begot Azariah; 39 Azariah begot Helez, and Helez begot Eleasah; 40 Eleasah begot Sismai, and Sismai begot Shallum; 41 Shallum begot Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begot Elishama.

The Family of Caleb

42 The descendants of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel were Mesha, his firstborn, who was the father of Ziph, and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron. 43 The sons of Hebron were Korah, Tappuah, Rekem, and Shema. 44 Shema begot Raham the father of Jorkoam, and Rekem begot Shammai. 45 And the son of Shammai was Maon, and Maon was the father of Beth Zur.

46 Ephah, Caleb’s concubine, bore Haran, Moza, and Gazez; and Haran begot Gazez. 47 And the sons of Jahdai were Regem, Jotham, Geshan, Pelet, Ephah, and Shaaph.

48 Maachah, Caleb’s concubine, bore Sheber and Tirhanah. 49 She also bore Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbenah and the father of Gibea. And the daughter of Caleb was (AB)Achsah.[n]

50 These were the descendants of Caleb: The sons of (AC)Hur, the firstborn of [o]Ephrathah, were Shobal the father of (AD)Kirjath Jearim, 51 Salma the father of Bethlehem, and Hareph the father of Beth Gader.

52 And Shobal the father of Kirjath Jearim had descendants: [p]Haroeh, and half of the [q]families of Manuhoth. 53 The families of Kirjath Jearim were the Ithrites, the Puthites, the Shumathites, and the Mishraites. From these came the Zorathites and the Eshtaolites.

54 The sons of Salma were Bethlehem, the Netophathites, [r]Atroth Beth Joab, half of the Manahethites, and the Zorites.

55 And the families of the scribes who dwelt at Jabez were the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and the Suchathites. These were the (AE)Kenites who came from Hammath, the father of the house of (AF)Rechab.
