从亚当到亚伯拉罕
1 亚当生塞特，塞特生以挪士， 2 以挪士生该南，该南生玛勒列，玛勒列生雅列， 3 雅列生以诺，以诺生玛土撒拉，玛土撒拉生拉麦， 4 拉麦生挪亚，挪亚生闪、含、雅弗。
5 雅弗的儿子是歌篾、玛各、玛代、雅完、土巴、米设、提拉。 6 歌篾的儿子是亚实基拿、低法、陀迦玛。 7 雅完的儿子是以利沙、他施、基提、多单。
8 含的儿子是古实、麦西、弗、迦南。 9 古实的儿子是西巴、哈腓拉、撒弗他、拉玛、撒弗提迦。拉玛的儿子是示巴、底但。 10 古实也是宁录之父，宁录是世上第一位勇士。 11 麦西[a]的后代有路低人、亚拿米人、利哈比人、拿弗土希人、 12 帕斯鲁细人、迦斯路希人、迦斐托人。非利士人是迦斐托人的后代。

38 西珥的儿子是罗坍、朔巴、祭便、亚拿、底顺、以察、底珊。 39 罗坍的儿子是何利和荷幔，罗坍的妹妹是亭纳。 40 朔巴的儿子是亚勒文、玛拿辖、以巴录、示非、阿南。祭便的儿子是亚雅、亚拿。 41 亚拿的儿子是底顺。底顺的儿子是哈默兰、伊是班、益兰、基兰。 42 以察的儿子是辟罕、撒番、亚干。底珊的儿子是乌斯和亚兰。
以东诸王
43 以色列人还没有君王统治之前，在以东做王的人如下：

Descendentes de Jafé
5 Os descendentes de Jafé foram: Gômer, Magogue, Madai, Javã, Tubal, Meseque e Tirás.
6 Os descendentes de Gômer foram: Asquenaz, Rifate[b] e Togarma.
7 Os descendentes de Javã foram: Elisá, Társis, Quitim e Rodanim.
Descendentes de Cam
8 Os descendentes de Cam foram: Cuxe, Mizraim,[c] Pute e Canaã.
9 Os descendentes de Cuxe foram: Sebá, Havilá, Sabtá, Raamá e Sabtecá. Os descendentes de Raamá foram: Sabá e Dedã. 10 Cuxe também foi o antepassado de Ninrode, o primeiro guerreiro valente da terra.
11 Mizraim foi o antepassado dos luditas, anamitas, leabitas, naftuítas, 12 patrusitas, casluítas e dos caftoritas, dos quais descendem os filisteus.[d]
13 O filho mais velho de Canaã foi Sidom. Canaã também foi o antepassado dos hititas,[e] 14 jebuseus, amorreus, girgaseus, 15 heveus, arqueus, sineus, 16 arvadeus, zemareus e hamateus.
Descendentes de Sem
17 Os descendentes de Sem foram: Elão, Assur, Arfaxade, Lude e Arã.
Os descendentes de Arã foram:[f] Uz, Hul, Géter e Más.[g]
18 Arfaxade gerou Salá, e Salá gerou Héber.
19 Héber teve dois filhos. O primeiro recebeu o nome de Pelegue,[h] pois em sua época a terra foi dividida. O irmão de Pelegue recebeu o nome de Joctã.
20 Joctã foi o antepassado de Almodá, Salefe, Hazarmavé, Jerá, 21 Adorão, Uzal, Dicla, 22 Obal,[i] Abimael, Sabá, 23 Ofir, Havilá e Jobabe. Todos eles foram descendentes de Joctã.
24 Os descendentes de Sem foram: Arfaxade, Selá,[j] 25 Héber, Pelegue, Reú, 26 Serugue, Naor, Terá 27 e Abrão, mais tarde chamado de Abraão.
Descendentes de Abraão
28 Os filhos de Abraão foram: Isaque e Ismael. 29 Estes são seus registros genealógicos:
Os filhos de Ismael foram: Nebaiote, o mais velho, Quedar, Adbeel, Mibsão, 30 Misma, Dumá, Massá, Hadade, Temá, 31 Jetur, Nafis e Quedemá. Esses foram os filhos de Ismael.

34 Abraão gerou Isaque. Os filhos de Isaque foram: Esaú e Israel.[k]

38 Os descendentes de Seir foram: Lotã, Sobal, Zibeão, Aná, Disom, Ézer e Disã.
39 Os descendentes de Lotã foram: Hori e Hemã.[n] A irmã de Lotã se chamava Timna.
40 Os descendentes de Sobal foram: Alvã,[o] Maanate, Ebal, Sefô[p] e Onã.
Os descendentes de Zibeão foram: Aiá e Aná.
41 O filho de Aná foi Disom.
Os descendentes de Disom foram: Hendã,[q] Esbã, Itrã e Querã.

Reis de Edom
43 Estes são os reis que governaram na terra de Edom antes de os israelitas terem rei:[t]

44 Quando Belá morreu, Jobabe, filho de Zerá, de Bozra, foi seu sucessor.
45 Quando Jobabe morreu, Husã, da terra dos temanitas, foi seu sucessor.
46 Quando Husã morreu, Hadade, filho de Bedade, foi seu sucessor na cidade de Avite. Foi Hadade quem derrotou os midianitas na terra de Moabe.
47 Quando Hadade morreu, Samlá, da cidade de Masreca, foi seu sucessor.
48 Quando Samlá morreu, Saul, da cidade de Reobote, próxima ao Eufrates,[u] foi seu sucessor.
49 Quando Saul morreu, Baal-Hanã, filho de Acbor, foi seu sucessor.
50 Quando Baal-Hanã morreu, Hadade foi seu sucessor na cidade de Paú.[v] Sua mulher era Meetabel, filha de Matrede e neta de Mezaabe. 51 Então Hadade morreu.
