Saludo
1 1-3 Queridos hermanos y hermanas de las iglesias de la región de Galacia:
Yo, Pablo, y los seguidores de Cristo que están conmigo, los saludamos. Le pido a Dios, nuestro Padre, y al Señor Jesucristo, que los amen mucho y les den su paz.
Soy un apóstol enviado a anunciar esta buena noticia: ¡Jesucristo ha resucitado! No me envió nadie de este mundo, sino Jesucristo mismo, y Dios el Padre, que lo resucitó.
4 Jesucristo siempre obedeció a nuestro Padre Dios, y se dispuso a morir, para que Dios perdonara nuestros pecados y nos librara de este mundo malvado. 5 ¡Que todos lo alaben por siempre! Amén.
Un solo mensaje verdadero
6 Dios los llamó a ustedes, y por medio de Cristo les mostró su amor. Por eso, casi no puedo creer que, en tan poco tiempo, hayan dejado de obedecer a Dios, y aceptado un mensaje diferente de esta buena noticia. 7 En realidad, no hay otro mensaje. Pero digo esto porque hay quienes quieren cambiar la buena noticia de Jesucristo, y confundirlos a ustedes. 8 De modo que, si alguien viene y les dice que el mensaje de la buena noticia es diferente del que nosotros les hemos anunciado, yo le pido a Dios que lo castigue, no importa que sea un ángel del cielo o alguno de nosotros. 9 Vuelvo a repetirles lo que ya les había dicho: Si alguien les anuncia un mensaje diferente del que recibieron, ¡que Dios lo castigue!
Pablo fue llamado por Cristo
10 Yo no ando buscando que la gente apruebe lo que digo. Ni ando buscando quedar bien con nadie. Si así lo hiciera, ya no sería yo un servidor de Cristo. ¡Para mí, lo importante es que Dios me apruebe!
11 Queridos hermanos en Cristo, quiero que les quede claro que nadie en este mundo inventó la buena noticia que yo les he anunciado. 12 No me la contó ni me la enseñó cualquier ser humano, sino que fue Jesucristo mismo quien me la enseñó.
13 Ustedes ya saben cómo era yo cuando pertenecía a la religión judía. Saben también con qué violencia hice sufrir a los miembros de las iglesias de Dios, y cómo hice todo lo posible para destruirlos. 14 Cumplí con la religión judía mejor que muchos de los judíos de mi edad, y me dediqué más que ellos a cumplir las enseñanzas recibidas de mis antepasados. 15-16 Pero Dios me amó mucho y, desde antes de nacer, me eligió para servirle. Además, me mostró quién era su Hijo, para que yo anunciara a todo el mundo la buena noticia acerca de él. Cuando eso sucedió, no le pedí consejo a nadie, 17 ni fui a Jerusalén para pedir la opinión de aquellos que ya eran apóstoles. Más bien, me fui inmediatamente a la región de Arabia, y luego regresé a la ciudad de Damasco. 18 Tres años después fui a Jerusalén, para conocer a Pedro, y sólo estuve quince días con él. 19 También vi allí al apóstol Santiago, hermano de Jesucristo nuestro Señor. Aparte de ellos, no vi a ningún otro apóstol. 20 Les estoy diciendo la verdad. ¡Dios sabe que no miento!
21 Después de eso, me fui a las regiones de Siria y Cilicia. 22 En ese tiempo, las iglesias de Cristo que están en Judea no me conocían personalmente. 23 Sólo habían oído decir: «Ese hombre, que antes nos hacía sufrir, está ahora anunciando la buena noticia que antes quería destruir.» 24 Y alababan a Dios por el cambio que él había hecho en mí.

1 Paul, an apostle(A)—sent not from men nor by a man,(B) but by Jesus Christ(C) and God the Father,(D) who raised him from the dead(E)— 2 and all the brothers and sisters[a] with me,(F)
To the churches in Galatia:(G)
3 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,(H) 4 who gave himself for our sins(I) to rescue us from the present evil age,(J) according to the will of our God and Father,(K) 5 to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.(L)
No Other Gospel
6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called(M) you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel(N)— 7 which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion(O) and are trying to pervert(P) the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you,(Q) let them be under God’s curse!(R) 9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted,(S) let them be under God’s curse!
10 Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people?(T) If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Paul Called by God
11 I want you to know, brothers and sisters,(U) that the gospel I preached(V) is not of human origin. 12 I did not receive it from any man,(W) nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation(X) from Jesus Christ.(Y)
13 For you have heard of my previous way of life in Judaism,(Z) how intensely I persecuted the church of God(AA) and tried to destroy it.(AB) 14 I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people and was extremely zealous(AC) for the traditions of my fathers.(AD) 15 But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb(AE) and called me(AF) by his grace, was pleased 16 to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles,(AG) my immediate response was not to consult any human being.(AH) 17 I did not go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was, but I went into Arabia. Later I returned to Damascus.(AI)
18 Then after three years,(AJ) I went up to Jerusalem(AK) to get acquainted with Cephas[b] and stayed with him fifteen days. 19 I saw none of the other apostles—only James,(AL) the Lord’s brother. 20 I assure you before God(AM) that what I am writing you is no lie.(AN)
21 Then I went to Syria(AO) and Cilicia.(AP) 22 I was personally unknown to the churches of Judea(AQ) that are in Christ.(AR) 23 They only heard the report: “The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith(AS) he once tried to destroy.”(AT) 24 And they praised God(AU) because of me.
