21 以撒说：“孩子，过来，让我摸摸看你是不是我儿以扫。” 22 雅各挨到父亲跟前，以撒摸着他说：“声音是雅各的声音，手却是以扫的手。” 23 因为雅各手上有毛，与他哥哥以扫的手一样，以撒分辨不出来，就给他祝福。 24 以撒又问：“你真是我的儿子以扫吗？”雅各回答说：“是。” 25 以撒便说：“把野味拿给我，我吃了你打的野味就为你祝福。”雅各递上野味，以撒吃了；雅各又拿酒给他喝，他也喝了。 26 以撒对他说：“孩子，你过来亲吻我。” 27 雅各就挨上前去亲了父亲。以撒闻到他衣服上的气味，就祝福他说：
“我儿子的香气就像蒙耶和华赐福之田地的香气。

21 Then Isaac said to Jacob, “Come near so I can touch you,(A) my son, to know whether you really are my son Esau or not.”
22 Jacob went close to his father Isaac,(B) who touched(C) him and said, “The voice is the voice of Jacob, but the hands are the hands of Esau.” 23 He did not recognize him, for his hands were hairy like those of his brother Esau;(D) so he proceeded to bless him. 24 “Are you really my son Esau?” he asked.
“I am,” he replied.
25 Then he said, “My son, bring me some of your game to eat, so that I may give you my blessing.”(E)
Jacob brought it to him and he ate; and he brought some wine and he drank. 26 Then his father Isaac said to him, “Come here, my son, and kiss me.”
27 So he went to him and kissed(F) him(G). When Isaac caught the smell of his clothes,(H) he blessed him and said,
“Ah, the smell of my son
is like the smell of a field
that the Lord has blessed.(I)
