20 那人就给各样牲畜、空中的雀鸟，和野地的各样走兽起了名字；只是那人没有遇见一个和他相配的帮手。 21 耶和华 神使那人沉睡。他熟睡的时候，耶和华 神取了他的一根肋骨，又使肉在原处复合。 22 然后，耶和华 神用从那人身上所取的肋骨，造了一个女人，带她到那人面前。

New International Version
20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals.
But for Adam[a] no suitable helper(A) was found. 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep;(B) and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs[b] and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib[c](C) he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
