8 以利沙曾对他救活的孩子的母亲说：“你和你的全家要起身，往你可住的地方去住，因为耶和华已令饥荒降在这地七年。” 2 妇人就起身，照神人的话去做，带着全家往非利士人的地去，寄居了七年。 3 过了七年，那妇人从非利士人的地回来，就出去为自己的房屋田地哀求王。 4 那时王正与神人的仆人基哈西谈话，说：“你把以利沙所做的一切大事告诉我。” 5 基哈西告诉王以利沙如何使死人复活，看哪，以利沙所救活的孩子的母亲正为自己的房屋田地来哀求王。基哈西说：“我主我王，这就是那妇人，这是她的儿子，就是以利沙所救活的。” 6 王问那妇人，她就把事情告诉王。于是王为她派一个官员，说：“凡属这妇人的都还给她，自从她离开本地直到今日，她田地的出产也都还给她。”
以利沙和便‧哈达王
7 以利沙来到大马士革，亚兰王便‧哈达正患病。有人告诉王说：“神人来到这里了。” 8 王就吩咐哈薛说：“你带着礼物去见神人，托他求问耶和华，我这病能不能好？” 9 于是哈薛用四十匹骆驼，驮着大马士革的各样美物为礼物，去迎见以利沙。哈薛到了那里，站在他面前，说：“你儿子亚兰王便‧哈达派我到你这里，问说：‘我这病会不会好？’” 10 以利沙对哈薛说：“你回去告诉他说：‘你一定会好。’但耶和华指示我，他必定会死。” 11 神人定睛看着哈薛，直到他感到羞愧。神人就哭了。 12 哈薛说：“我主为什么哭？”他说：“因为我知道你必虐待以色列人，用火焚烧他们的堡垒，用刀杀死他们的壮丁，摔死他们的婴孩，剖开他们的孕妇。” 13 哈薛说：“仆人算什么，不过是一条狗，怎么能行这大事呢？”以利沙说：“耶和华指示我，你必作亚兰王。” 14 哈薛离开以利沙，回到他主人那里。主人对他说：“以利沙对你说了什么？”他说：“他告诉我你必能好。” 15 次日，哈薛拿被子浸在水中，蒙住王的脸，王就死了。于是哈薛篡了他的位。
犹大王约兰(A)
16 亚哈的儿子以色列王约兰第五年—约沙法曾作犹大王[a]—犹大王约沙法的儿子约兰登基作了犹大王。 17 约兰登基的时候年三十二岁，在耶路撒冷作王八年。 18 他行以色列诸王的道，正如亚哈家所行的，因他娶了亚哈的女儿为妻，行耶和华眼中看为恶的事。 19 耶和华却因他仆人大卫的缘故，不肯灭绝犹大，要照他所应许的，永远赐灯光给大卫和他的子孙。
20 约兰在位期间，以东背叛，自己立王治理他们，脱离犹大的权势。 21 约兰率领所有的战车过到撒益去。他夜间起来，攻打围困他的以东人和战车长；犹大军兵逃跑，各回自己的帐棚去了； 22 这样，以东背叛，脱离犹大的权势，直到今日。那时立拿也背叛了。
23 约兰其余的事，凡他所做的，不都写在《犹大列王记》上吗？ 24 约兰与他祖先同睡，与他祖先同葬在大卫城，他儿子亚哈谢接续他作王。

25 亚哈的儿子以色列王约兰第十二年，犹大王约兰的儿子亚哈谢登基。 26 他登基的时候年二十二岁，在耶路撒冷作王一年。他母亲名叫亚她利雅，是以色列王暗利的孙女。 27 亚哈谢行亚哈家的道，行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，与亚哈家一样，因为他是亚哈家的女婿。

8 Then spake Elisha unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying, Arise, and go thou and thine household, and sojourn wheresoever thou canst sojourn: for the Lord hath called for a famine; and it shall also come upon the land seven years.
2 And the woman arose, and did after the saying of the man of God: and she went with her household, and sojourned in the land of the Philistines seven years.
3 And it came to pass at the seven years' end, that the woman returned out of the land of the Philistines: and she went forth to cry unto the king for her house and for her land.
4 And the king talked with Gehazi the servant of the man of God, saying, Tell me, I pray thee, all the great things that Elisha hath done.
5 And it came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had restored a dead body to life, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, cried to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life.
6 And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed unto her a certain officer, saying, Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.
7 And Elisha came to Damascus; and Benhadad the king of Syria was sick; and it was told him, saying, The man of God is come hither.
8 And the king said unto Hazael, Take a present in thine hand, and go, meet the man of God, and enquire of the Lord by him, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?
9 So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels' burden, and came and stood before him, and said, Thy son Benhadad king of Syria hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?
10 And Elisha said unto him, Go, say unto him, Thou mayest certainly recover: howbeit the Lord hath shewed me that he shall surely die.
11 And he settled his countenance stedfastly, until he was ashamed: and the man of God wept.
12 And Hazael said, Why weepeth my lord? And he answered, Because I know the evil that thou wilt do unto the children of Israel: their strong holds wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou slay with the sword, and wilt dash their children, and rip up their women with child.
13 And Hazael said, But what, is thy servant a dog, that he should do this great thing? And Elisha answered, The Lord hath shewed me that thou shalt be king over Syria.
14 So he departed from Elisha, and came to his master; who said to him, What said Elisha to thee? And he answered, He told me that thou shouldest surely recover.
15 And it came to pass on the morrow, that he took a thick cloth, and dipped it in water, and spread it on his face, so that he died: and Hazael reigned in his stead.
16 And in the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel, Jehoshaphat being then king of Judah, Jehoram the son of Je hoshaphat king of Judah began to reign.
17 Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.
18 And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab: for the daughter of Ahab was his wife: and he did evil in the sight of the Lord.
19 Yet the Lord would not destroy Judah for David his servant's sake, as he promised him to give him alway a light, and to his children.
20 In his days Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah, and made a king over themselves.
21 So Joram went over to Zair, and all the chariots with him: and he rose by night, and smote the Edomites which compassed him about, and the captains of the chariots: and the people fled into their tents.
22 Yet Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day. Then Libnah revolted at the same time.
23 And the rest of the acts of Joram, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
24 And Joram slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David: and Ahaziah his son reigned in his stead.
25 In the twelfth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel did Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah begin to reign.
26 Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Athaliah, the daughter of Omri king of Israel.
27 And he walked in the way of the house of Ahab, and did evil in the sight of the Lord, as did the house of Ahab: for he was the son in law of the house of Ahab.
28 And he went with Joram the son of Ahab to the war against Hazael king of Syria in Ramothgilead; and the Syrians wounded Joram.
29 And king Joram went back to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Syria. And Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.

8 以利沙曾经救活了一位书念妇人的儿子。他对那妇人说：“你和家人要离开这里去别处寄居，因为耶和华已决定使这里遭受七年饥荒。” 2 那妇人遵照上帝仆人的话，举家迁往非利士，在那里寄居了七年。 3 七年后，她从非利士返回，去向王请求收回自己的房屋和田地。 4 那时，王正与上帝仆人的侍者基哈西谈话，让基哈西把以利沙所做的一切大事讲给他听。 5 基哈西正在向王讲述以利沙如何使死人复活的时候，那位书念妇人刚好进宫求见王，基哈西便说：“我主我王，这就是那妇人，这是她那个被以利沙救活的儿子。” 6 王问那妇人，她便原原本本地将那件事禀告王。王委派一位臣仆处理她的事情，并吩咐说：“凡属于这妇人的东西，包括从她离开本地直到今天她田地的所有出产，要全部还给她。”
以利沙对哈薛的预言
7 一天，以利沙到了大马士革。当时亚兰王便·哈达正在生病，他得知上帝的仆人来了， 8 便对哈薛说：“你带着礼物去见上帝的仆人，请他求问耶和华，看看我这病能否痊愈。” 9 哈薛用四十头骆驼驮着大马士革的各种美物前去拜见以利沙。到了那里，他站在以利沙面前说：“你儿子亚兰王便·哈达派我来问你，他的病能否痊愈？”
10 以利沙对哈薛说：“你去告诉他，他一定会痊愈。不过，耶和华告诉我他会死。” 11 他目不转睛地盯着哈薛，盯得他很不安。然后，上帝的仆人哭了。 12 哈薛问：“我主为什么哭呢？”以利沙说：“因为我知道你会加害以色列人。你会放火烧他们的堡垒，用刀杀戮他们的壮丁，摔死他们的孩童，剖开他们的孕妇。” 13 哈薛说：“你仆人算什么，不过是一条狗，怎能做这样的大事呢？”以利沙说：“耶和华告诉我，你要做亚兰王。” 14 哈薛辞别以利沙回去了。王问他：“以利沙对你说什么？”他答道：“以利沙告诉我，你一定会痊愈。” 15 第二天，哈薛拿了一床浸透水的被子，蒙在王的脸上，王窒息而死。于是哈薛篡位。
约兰做犹大王
16 以色列王亚哈的儿子约兰执政第五年，犹大王约沙法让位给儿子约兰。 17 约兰三十二岁登基，在耶路撒冷执政八年。 18 他与亚哈家一样步以色列诸王的后尘，因为他娶了亚哈的女儿为妻，做耶和华视为恶的事。 19 但耶和华因祂仆人大卫的缘故而不愿毁灭犹大，因为祂曾应许让大卫的子孙永远做王。 20 约兰执政期间，以东人反叛犹大，自己立王。 21 约兰率领所有战车前往撒益，他和战车长们被以东人包围。他们乘夜出击，突出重围，各自逃回家去。 22 以东人至今仍脱离犹大的统治。立拿人也在那个时候叛变了。

The King Restores the Shunammite’s Land
8 Then Elisha spoke to the woman (A)whose son he had restored to life, saying, “Arise and go, you and your household, and stay wherever you can; for the Lord (B)has called for a (C)famine, and furthermore, it will come upon the land for seven years.” 2 So the woman arose and did according to the saying of the man of God, and she went with her household and dwelt in the land of the Philistines seven years.
3 It came to pass, at the end of seven years, that the woman returned from the land of the Philistines; and she went to make an appeal to the king for her house and for her land. 4 Then the king talked with (D)Gehazi, the servant of the man of God, saying, “Tell me, please, all the great things Elisha has done.” 5 Now it happened, as he was telling the king how he had restored the dead to life, that there was the woman whose son he had (E)restored to life, appealing to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, “My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son whom Elisha restored to life.” 6 And when the king asked the woman, she told him.
So the king appointed a certain officer for her, saying, “Restore all that was hers, and all the proceeds of the field from the day that she left the land until now.”
Death of Ben-Hadad
7 Then Elisha went to Damascus, and (F)Ben-Hadad king of Syria was sick; and it was told him, saying, “The man of God has come here.” 8 And the king said to (G)Hazael, (H)“Take a present in your hand, and go to meet the man of God, and (I)inquire of the Lord by him, saying, ‘Shall I recover from this disease?’ ” 9 So (J)Hazael went to meet him and took a present with him, of every good thing of Damascus, forty camel-loads; and he came and stood before him, and said, “Your son Ben-Hadad king of Syria has sent me to you, saying, ‘Shall I recover from this disease?’ ”
10 And Elisha said to him, “Go, say to him, ‘You shall certainly recover.’ However the Lord has shown me that (K)he will really die.” 11 Then he [a]set his countenance in a stare until he was ashamed; and the man of God (L)wept. 12 And Hazael said, “Why is my lord weeping?”
He answered, “Because I know (M)the evil that you will do to the children of Israel: Their strongholds you will set on fire, and their young men you will kill with the sword; and you (N)will dash their children, and rip open their women with child.”
13 So Hazael said, “But what (O)is your servant—a dog, that he should do this gross thing?”
And Elisha answered, (P)“The Lord has shown me that you will become king over Syria.”
14 Then he departed from Elisha, and came to his master, who said to him, “What did Elisha say to you?” And he answered, “He told me you would surely recover.” 15 But it happened on the next day that he took a thick cloth and dipped it in water, and spread it over his face so that he died; and Hazael reigned in his place.
Jehoram Reigns in Judah(Q)
16 Now (R)in the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab, king of Israel, Jehoshaphat having been king of Judah, (S)Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat began to reign as [b]king of Judah. 17 He was (T)thirty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem. 18 And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, just as the house of Ahab had done, for (U)the daughter of Ahab was his wife; and he did evil in the sight of the Lord. 19 Yet the Lord would not destroy Judah, for the sake of His servant David, (V)as He promised him to give a lamp to him and his sons forever.
20 In his days (W)Edom revolted against Judah’s authority, (X)and made a king over themselves. 21 So [c]Joram went to Zair, and all his chariots with him. Then he rose by night and attacked the Edomites who had surrounded him and the captains of the chariots; and the troops fled to their tents. 22 Thus Edom has been in revolt against Judah’s authority to this day. (Y)And Libnah revolted at that time.
23 Now the rest of the acts of Joram, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? 24 So Joram [d]rested with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the City of David. Then (Z)Ahaziah[e] his son reigned in his place.
Ahaziah Reigns in Judah(AA)
