33 他还造了亚舍拉神像，所作所为比先前诸王更惹以色列的上帝耶和华发怒。 34 亚哈执政期间，伯特利人希伊勒重建耶利哥城。他立地基的时候，长子亚比兰死了；安城门的时候，幼子西割死了。这应验了耶和华借嫩的儿子约书亚说的话。

33 Ahab also made an Asherah pole(A) and did more(B) to arouse the anger of the Lord, the God of Israel, than did all the kings of Israel before him.
34 In Ahab’s time, Hiel of Bethel rebuilt Jericho. He laid its foundations at the cost of his firstborn son Abiram, and he set up its gates at the cost of his youngest son Segub, in accordance with the word of the Lord spoken by Joshua son of Nun.(C)
