10 来吧，让我们机巧地待他们，恐怕他们增多起来，将来若有战争，他们就联合我们的仇敌来攻击我们，然后离开这地去了。” 11 于是埃及人派监工管辖他们，用劳役苦待他们。他们为法老建造储货城，就是比东和兰塞。 12 可是越苦待他们，他们就越发增多，更加繁衍，埃及人就因以色列人愁烦。

10 Come, we must deal shrewdly(A) with them or they will become even more numerous and, if war breaks out, will join our enemies, fight against us and leave the country.”(B)
11 So they put slave masters(C) over them to oppress them with forced labor,(D) and they built Pithom and Rameses(E) as store cities(F) for Pharaoh. 12 But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and spread; so the Egyptians came to dread the Israelites
