2 他是個敬虔的人，與全家都敬畏神；他慷慨地賙濟民眾，常常向神禱告。 3 有一天，大約下午三點[a]，他在異象中清楚地看見神的一位天使來到他面前，對他說：「哥尼流！」
4 哥尼流注視著他，感到害怕，說：「主啊，有什麼事呢？」
天使說：「你的禱告和你的施捨，已經上達神的面前蒙記念了。

2 He and all his family were devout and God-fearing;(A) he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly. 3 One day at about three in the afternoon(B) he had a vision.(C) He distinctly saw an angel(D) of God, who came to him and said, “Cornelius!”
4 Cornelius stared at him in fear. “What is it, Lord?” he asked.
The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering(E) before God.(F)
