5 有一個人名叫亞拿尼亞，同他妻子撒非拉，把田產賣了。 2 他私底下把錢留了一部分，妻子也知道這件事。他把其餘的一部分帶來，放在使徒的腳前。 3 彼得說：“亞拿尼亞，為甚麼撒但充滿了你的心，使你欺騙聖靈，私底下把賣地的錢留了一部分呢？ 4 田地還沒有賣，不是你自己的嗎？既然賣了，所得的錢不是由你作主嗎？你為甚麼存心這樣作呢？你這不是欺騙人，而是欺騙 神。” 5 亞拿尼亞一聽見這話，就仆倒斷了氣。所有聽見的人都十分害怕。 6 有幾個青年人來把他包好，抬出去埋了。
7 大約三小時之後，亞拿尼亞的妻子進來，還不知道發生了甚麼事。 8 彼得問她：“你告訴我，你們賣田地的錢，就是這麼多嗎？”她說：“是的，就是這麼多。” 9 彼得說：“你們為甚麼串同試探主的靈呢？你看，埋你丈夫的人的腳，已經到了門口，他們也要把你抬出去。” 10 她立刻就仆倒在彼得腳前，斷了氣。那些青年人進來，發現她死了，把她也抬出去，埋在她丈夫旁邊。 11 全體會眾和所有聽見這事的人，都很害怕。
使徒行神蹟奇事
12 主藉著使徒的手，在民間行了許多神蹟奇事。他們都同心聚集在所羅門廊下， 13 其餘的人，沒有一個敢接近他們，可是民眾都很敬重他們。 14 信主的男男女女越來越多， 15 甚至有人把病人抬到街上，放在小床和褥子上，好讓彼得經過時，至少他的身影可以落在一些人身上。 16 耶路撒冷周圍城市的人，也帶著病人和受污靈纏擾的，蜂擁而來，結果病人全都醫好了。
使徒受迫害
17 大祭司和他的同黨撒都該人都起來，滿心忌恨， 18 於是下手拿住使徒，把他們押在公共拘留所裡。 19 夜間有一位天使，打開監門，把他們領出來，說： 20 “你們去，站在殿裡，把一切有關這生命的話，都講給眾民聽。” 21 使徒聽完了，就在黎明的時候，進到殿裡去教導。大祭司和他的同黨來到了，就召集了公議會和以色列人的眾長老，派人到監牢去帶使徒出來。 22 差役到了監裡，找不到他們，回來報告說： 23 “我們發現監門緊閉，獄卒也守在門外；等到開了門，裡面連一個人也找不到。” 24 聖殿的守衛長和祭司長聽了這些話，覺得很困惑，不知道這件事將來會怎樣。 25 忽然有人來報告說：“你們押在監裡的那些人，正站在殿裡教導眾民呢！” 26 於是守衛長和差役去帶使徒來，不過沒有用暴力，因為怕眾民用石頭打他們。
27 既然帶來了，就叫他們站在公議會前。大祭司問他們： 28 “我們嚴厲地吩咐過你們，不准再奉這名教導。看，你們卻把你們的道理傳遍了耶路撒冷，想要把流這人的血的責任推到我們身上。” 29 彼得和眾使徒回答：“服從 神過於服從人，是應當的。 30 你們掛在木頭上親手殺害的耶穌，我們祖先的 神已經使他復活了。 31 神把他高舉在自己的右邊，作元首作救主，把悔改的心賜給了以色列人，使他們罪得赦免。 32 我們為這些事作證， 神賜給順從的人的聖靈也為這些事作證。”
33 公議會的人聽了，非常惱怒，就想要殺他們。 34 但有一個法利賽人，名叫迦瑪列，是民眾所尊敬的律法教師。他在公議會中站起來，吩咐人把使徒暫時帶出去， 35 然後對大家說：“以色列人哪，你們應當小心處理這些人！ 36 從前有個丟大，自命不凡，附從他的人約有四百。他一被殺，跟從他的人盡都星散，一敗塗地。 37 這人之後，在戶口登記的時候，又有一個加利利人猶大，拉攏人們來跟從他。後來他也喪命，跟從他的人也就煙消雲散了。 38 至於目前的事，我勸你們不要管這些人，由他們吧！因為這計劃或這行動，如果是出於人意，終必失敗； 39 如果是出於 神，你們就不能破壞他們，恐怕你們是與 神作對了。”他們接受了他的勸告， 40 就傳使徒進來，鞭打一頓，禁止他們奉耶穌的名傳講，就把他們釋放了。 41 使徒歡歡喜喜從公議會裡出來，因為他們算是配得為主的名受辱。 42 他們天天在殿裡並在各人的家中，不斷地教導，傳講耶穌是基督。

欺骗圣灵
5 一个名叫亚拿尼亚的人与妻子撒非喇也把田产卖了。 2 他私自留下一部分钱，然后把其余的拿去交给使徒，这件事他妻子也知道。 3 彼得说：“亚拿尼亚，你为什么让撒旦充满你的心，欺骗圣灵，私自留下一些卖地的钱呢？ 4 田产没有卖的时候属于你，即使卖了，卖地的钱也由你支配。你怎么做出这种事呢？你不是欺骗人，你是欺骗上帝！” 5 亚拿尼亚听见这话，当场倒地而死。听见这件事的人都非常惧怕。 6 有几个青年上前把他的尸体裹起来，抬出去埋葬了。
7 大约过了三个小时，亚拿尼亚的妻子也进来了，她还不知道发生了什么事。 8 彼得问她：“你们卖田地的钱就这么多吗？”她说：“是的，就这么多。”
9 彼得说：“你们二人怎么串通起来试探主的灵呢？埋葬你丈夫的人就到门口了，他们也要把你抬出去。” 10 撒非喇立刻倒在彼得脚前死了。那些青年进来看见她已经死了，便把她抬出去葬在她丈夫的旁边。 11 整个教会和听见这件事的人都非常惧怕。
神迹奇事
12 主借着使徒们在百姓中行了许多神迹奇事，大家同心合意地在所罗门廊那里聚会。 13 其他人不敢接近他们，不过百姓都很敬重他们。 14 信主的人数不断增加，男女都有。 15 人们甚至把病人抬到街上，放在床上或垫子上，希望彼得路过时的影子可以落在病人身上。 16 还有大群的人从耶路撒冷附近的城镇带着病人和被污鬼搅扰的人赶来，他们都得了医治。
使徒受迫害
17 大祭司和他的同党撒都该人看见这情形，妒火中烧， 18 便把使徒拘捕，关在监里。 19 当天晚上，有一位主的天使把狱门打开，领他们出来， 20 说：“你们到圣殿去，把这生命之道传给百姓。” 21 使徒遵从命令，在黎明的时候来到圣殿开始教导众人。
大祭司和他的同党召集了所有公会[a]的人和以色列的众长老，然后派人去监狱把使徒押来受审。 22 差役来到监狱时，发现使徒已经不见了，就回去禀告，说： 23 “我们看见牢门紧锁，守卫都站在门外，但打开门一看，里面却空无一人！”
24 圣殿护卫长和祭司长听后，都很困扰，不知道是怎么回事。 25 这时有人来报告说：“你们关押在牢里的人正在圣殿里教导人！” 26 圣殿护卫长和差役再去把使徒抓回来。这次他们不敢动粗，生怕百姓会用石头打他们。
27 使徒被带来后站在公会前，大祭司盘问他们，说： 28 “我们不是严禁你们奉耶稣的名去教导百姓吗？你们竟然在耶路撒冷各处传道，还想把杀那人的血债归到我们身上！”
29 彼得和其他使徒申辩说：“我们要服从的是上帝，而非人。 30 你们钉死在十字架上的耶稣，我们祖先的上帝已经使祂复活了。 31 上帝把祂提升到自己的右边，立祂为君王和救主，好赐给以色列人悔改的机会，使他们的罪得到赦免。 32 我们就是这些事的见证人，上帝赐给顺服祂之人的圣灵也同样做见证。”
33 他们听了，怒气冲天，打算杀掉使徒。 34 公会中有一位名叫迦玛列的法利赛人，是个德高望重的律法教师。他站起来，叫人把使徒暂且押到外面， 35 然后说：“以色列人啊，你们应当慎重处置这些人。 36 不久前，有个名叫杜达的人起来自立山头，吸引了差不多四百个跟随者，但他被杀之后，那些跟随者就各奔东西，销声匿迹了。 37 后来，又有个加利利人犹大在户口登记期间鼓动百姓跟随他造反。他被杀之后，那些跟随者也烟消云散了。 38 所以，像现在这种情形，我劝大家还是不要管他们，随他们去吧。他们的计划和行为如果是出于人意，终必失败； 39 但如果是出于上帝，你们不但无法阻止他们，恐怕反而是在抵挡上帝！”
40 公会采纳了他的意见，于是把使徒召回来打了一顿，再次警告他们不可奉耶稣的名传道，才放了他们。 41 使徒离开公会后，为自己有资格为主的名受辱而欢喜。 42 他们每天在圣殿里及各家各户教导人，传扬耶稣是基督。

5 有一個名叫阿納尼亞的人，和他的妻子薩菲拉賣掉了財產。 2 但他從價款中私自留下了一部分，把一部分拿來放在使徒們的腳前；他的妻子也知道這事。
3 彼得就說：「阿納尼亞，為什麼撒旦充滿了你的心，使你對聖靈說謊，從田產的價款中私自留下一些呢？ 4 田產留著沒賣[a]的時候，難道不屬於你的嗎？賣了以後，價款難道不也是由你做主嗎？你心裡為什麼存有這種念頭呢？你不是對人說謊，而是對神說謊了。」 5 阿納尼亞聽見這話，就仆倒斷了氣；所有聽到這事的人都大為恐懼。 6 有幾個年輕人站起來，把他的屍體[b]裹好，抬出去埋葬了。
7 隔了大約三個小時，阿納尼亞的妻子進來，還不知道所發生的事。 8 彼得問她：「告訴我，你們賣田產的錢，是不是這麼多？」

17 於是大祭司就採取行動。他和所有與他在一起的人，就是撒都該教派的人，都滿腔嫉妒， 18 下手捉拿使徒們，把他們關在公眾拘留所裡。 19 但在夜裡，主的一位天使打開了監門，領他們出來，說： 20 「你們去站在聖殿裡，把這生命的話語，都講給民眾聽。」 21 他們聽從這話，在清晨的時候就進入聖殿教導人。
使徒們再次受審
這時，大祭司和與他在一起的人來了，他們召集了議會，就是以色列子民長老的全體議會，然後派人到監獄裡，要把使徒們帶來。 22 但差役們到了監獄裡，卻找不到他們，就回去報告， 23 說：「我們看見監獄被關得極其穩妥，衛兵都站在各個門口，可是打開那些門，裡面卻找不到任何人。」 24 當[h]聖殿的守衛長[i]和祭司長們聽到這些話的時候，就對使徒們的事感到困惑，不知道這事會如何發展。
25 這時，有人來向他們報告說：「看，你們關在監獄裡的那些人，正站在聖殿裡教導民眾呢！」 26 於是守衛長與差役們一起去把使徒們帶來，並沒有用暴力，因為怕民眾用石頭砸他們。 27 他們把使徒們帶來後，叫他們站在議會當中。大祭司質問他們， 28 說：「我們不是嚴厲地吩咐你們，不可奉這個人的名教導人嗎？可是看哪，你們把你們的教導傳遍了耶路撒冷，又想把這個人的血歸到我們身上。」
29 彼得和使徒們回答說：「我們必須順從神過於順從人。 30 你們掛在木頭上殺害的耶穌，我們祖先的神已經使他復活了。 31 神把這一位高舉在自己右邊做元首、做救主，為了將悔改的心賜給以色列，使罪得赦免。 32 我們就是這些事的見證人。神所賜給那些順從他之人的聖靈也一同做見證。」
迦瑪列的建議
33 議會的人聽了，勃然大怒[j]，就想要殺了他們。 34 但有一個名叫迦瑪列的法利賽人，是全體民眾所尊敬的律法教師，在議會中站了起來，下令把使徒們[k]暫時帶到外面去， 35 就對大家說：「各位以色列人哪，如何處置這些人，你們應當謹慎。 36 因為這些日子之前，提烏達起來說自己是某某人物，跟從他的人數約有四百。這人被殺了以後，所有信從他的人都四散了，歸於無有。 37 這人以後，在戶口登記期間又有個加利利人猶大起來，拉攏民眾[l]跟隨他。他也死了，所有信從他的人也都四散了。 38 現在我告訴你們：不要管這些人，由他們去吧！因為這計劃或這行為，如果是出於人，就會被拆毀； 39 但如果是出於神，你們就不能拆毀他們，恐怕你們反而被看做是與神作對了。」於是議會的人被迦瑪列說服了， 40 就叫來使徒們，鞭打了以後，吩咐他們不可再奉耶穌的名講說，然後把他們釋放了。 41 這樣使徒們就快快樂樂地離開了議會，因為算是配得上為這名受凌辱。 42 他們每天在聖殿和各家各戶不住地教導人，傳福音說耶穌是基督。

Lying to the Holy Spirit
5 But a man named Ananias, with his wife Sapphira, sold a piece of property. 2 However, he kept back part of the proceeds with his wife’s knowledge, and brought a portion of it and laid it at the apostles’ feet.(A)
3 ‘Ananias,’ Peter asked, ‘why has Satan filled your heart(B) to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the proceeds of the land? 4 Wasn’t it yours while you possessed it? And after it was sold, wasn’t it at your disposal? Why is it that you planned this thing in your heart? You have not lied to people but to God.’ 5 When he heard these words, Ananias dropped dead, and a great fear came on all who heard.(C) 6 The young men got up, wrapped his body, carried him out, and buried him.(D)
7 About three hours later, his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. 8 ‘Tell me,’ Peter asked her, ‘did you sell the land for this price? ’
‘Yes,’ she said, ‘for that price.’
9 Then Peter said to her, ‘Why did you agree to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.’(E)
10 Instantly she dropped dead at his feet. When the young men came in, they found her dead, carried her out, and buried her beside her husband. 11 Then great fear came on the whole church and on all who heard these things.
Apostolic Signs and Wonders
12 Many signs and wonders were being done among the people through the hands of the apostles.(F) They were all together in Solomon’s Colonnade.(G) 13 No one else dared to join them, but the people spoke well of them.(H) 14 Believers were added to the Lord in increasing numbers – multitudes of both men and women. 15 As a result, they would carry the sick out into the streets and lay them on cots and mats so that when Peter came by, at least his shadow(I) might fall on some of them. 16 In addition, a multitude came together from the towns surrounding Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.
In and out of Prison
17 Then the high priest rose up. He and all who were with him, who belonged to the party of the Sadducees, were filled with jealousy.(J) 18 So they arrested the apostles and put them in the public jail.(K) 19 But an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the jail during the night, brought them out, and said,(L) 20 ‘Go and stand in the temple, and tell the people all about this life.’(M) 21 Hearing this, they entered the temple at daybreak and began to teach.
The Apostles on Trial Again
When the high priest and those who were with him arrived, they convened the Sanhedrin – the full council of the Israelites – and sent orders to the jail to have them brought.(N) 22 But when the servants[a] got there, they did not find them in the jail; so they returned and reported, 23 ‘We found the jail securely locked, with the guards standing in front of the doors, but when we opened them, we found no one inside.’ 24 As[b] the captain of the temple police and the chief priests heard these things, they were baffled about them, wondering what would come of this.
25 Someone came and reported to them, ‘Look! The men you put in jail are standing in the temple and teaching the people.’ 26 Then the commander went with the servants and brought them in without force, because they were afraid the people might stone them.(O) 27 After they brought them in, they had them stand before the Sanhedrin, and the high priest asked, 28 ‘Didn’t we strictly order you not to teach in this name?(P) Look, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and are determined to make us guilty of this man’s blood.’(Q)
29 Peter and the apostles replied, ‘We must obey God rather than people. 30 The God of our ancestors raised up Jesus,(R) whom you had murdered by hanging him on a tree.(S) 31 God exalted this man to his right hand as ruler and Saviour, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.(T) 32 We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit(U) whom God has given to those who obey him.’
Gamaliel’s Advice
33 When they heard this, they were enraged and wanted to kill them.(V) 34 But a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law who was respected by all the people, stood up in the Sanhedrin and ordered the men[c] to be taken outside for a little while.(W) 35 He said to them, ‘Men of Israel, be careful about what you’re about to do to these men. 36 Some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody, and a group of about four hundred men rallied to him. He was killed, and all his followers were dispersed and came to nothing.(X) 37 After this man, Judas the Galilean rose up in the days of the census and attracted a following. He also perished, and all his followers were scattered. 38 So in the present case, I tell you, stay away from these men and leave them alone. For if this plan or this work is of human origin, it will fail;(Y) 39 but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You may even be found fighting against God.’ They were persuaded by him.(Z) 40 After they called in the apostles and had them flogged, they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus and released them.(AA) 41 Then they went out from the presence of the Sanhedrin, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to be treated shamefully on behalf of the Name.[d](AB) 42 Every day in the temple, and in various homes, they continued teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.
