²⁷这个人被犹太人抓住，正要被他们杀害的时候，我带军队到场，得知他是罗马公民，就把他救了出来。 ²⁸我想了解犹太人控告他的理由，就带他到他们的议会去。

²⁶Claudius Lysias,

To His Excellency,^(A) Governor Felix:

Greetings.^(B)

²⁷This man was seized by the Jews and they were about to kill him,^(C) but I came with my troops and rescued him,^(D) for I had learned that he is a Roman citizen.^(E) ²⁸I wanted to know why they were accusing him, so I brought him to their Sanhedrin.^(F)
