³⁹我們親眼目睹了耶穌在猶太全境和耶路撒冷所做的一切。可是，世人卻把祂釘死在十字架上。 ⁴⁰但第三天，上帝使祂從死裡復活，並且向人顯現， ⁴¹不是向所有的人顯現，而是向被上帝預先揀選為祂做見證的人顯現，就是我們這些在祂復活以後與祂一同吃喝過的人。

³⁹And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:

⁴⁰Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;

⁴¹Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.

³⁹“We are witnesses^(A) of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a cross,^(B) ⁴⁰but God raised him from the dead^(C) on the third day and caused him to be seen. ⁴¹He was not seen by all the people,^(D) but by witnesses whom God had already chosen—by us who ate^(E) and drank with him after he rose from the dead.
