16 “人子啊！我要打擊你，把你眼中所喜愛的奪去，你卻不可悲哀，不可哭泣，也不可流淚。 17 只可靜默地歎息，不可為死人哀悼；你的頭上仍要纏著頭巾，腳上仍要穿著鞋子；你不可蒙著臉，也不可吃為喪家預備的食物。” 18 於是我在早上對眾人說了這事，晚上我的妻子就死了；次日早晨我就照著所吩咐我的行了。

16 “Son of man, with one blow(A) I am about to take away from you the delight of your eyes.(B) Yet do not lament or weep or shed any tears.(C) 17 Groan quietly;(D) do not mourn for the dead. Keep your turban(E) fastened and your sandals(F) on your feet; do not cover your mustache and beard(G) or eat the customary food of mourners.(H)”
18 So I spoke to the people in the morning, and in the evening my wife died. The next morning I did as I had been commanded.(I)
