¹⁰神の御心に従ったために迫害されている人は幸いです。神の国はそういう人のものだからです。

¹¹わたしの弟子だというので、悪口を言われたり、迫害されたり、ありもしないことを言いふらされたりしたら、それはすばらしいことなのです。 ¹²喜びなさい。躍り上がって喜びなさい。天の国では、大きな報いが待っているからです。昔の預言者たちも、そのようにして迫害されたことを思い出しなさい。

¹⁰Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,^(A)
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.^(B)

¹¹“Blessed are you when people insult you,^(C) persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.^(D) ¹²Rejoice and be glad,^(E) because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.^(F)
