கானான் நாட்டின் எல்லைகள்
34 மோசேயிடம் கர்த்தர் பேசினார். அவர், 2 “இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களிடம் இந்த கட்டளைகளைக் கூறு: நீங்கள் கானான் நாட்டிற்கு போய்க்கொண்டு இருக்கிறீர்கள். நீங்கள் கானான் நாடு முழுவதையும் பெற்றுக்கொள்வீர்கள். 3 தெற்குப் பக்கம் ஏதோம் அருகிலுள்ள சீன் பாலைவனத்தின் ஒரு பகுதியைப் பெறுவீர்கள். உங்களது தெற்கு எல்லையானது கிழக்கே இருக்கிற சவகடலின் கடைசியில் தொடங்கும். 4 இது ஸ்கார்ப்பியன் கணவாயின் தெற்காகக் கடந்து செல்லும். சீன் பாலைவனத்தின் வழியாக, காதேஸ்பர்னேவுக்கும் பிறகு ஆத்சார் ஆதாருக்கும், பின் அங்கிருந்து அஸ்மோனாவுக்கும் செல்லும். 5 அஸ்மோனிலிருந்து எல்லையானது எகிப்து நதியில் போய், பிறகு அது மத்தியத்தரைக் கடலில் போய் முடியும். 6 மத்தியத்தரைக் கடல் உங்களது மேற்கு எல்லையாக இருக்கும். 7 உங்கள் வடக்கு எல்லையானது மத்தியத்தரைக் கடலில் தொடங்கி, லெபனானில் உள்ள ஓர் மலைக்குச் செல்லும். 8 ஓர் என்னும் மலையிலிருந்து, இது லெபோ ஆமாத்திற்குப் போகும். பிறகு சேதாத்திற்குப் போகும். 9 பின்னர் அவ்வெல்லையானது, சிப்ரோனுக்குப் போய் ஆத்சார் ஏனானிலே முடியும். அதுதான் உங்கள் வடக்கு எல்லையாகும். 10 உங்கள் கிழக்கு எல்லையானது ஏனானிலே தொடங்கி, அது சேப்பாமுக்குப் போகும், 11 சேப்பாமிலிருந்து ஆயினுக்குக் கிழக்கிலுள்ள ரிப்லாவிற்குப் போகும். எல்லையானது தொடர்ந்து கலிலேயா ஏரிக்குத் தொடரும். 12 பிறகு அந்த எல்லையானது யோர்தான் நதிவரைத் தொடரும். அது மரணக் கடலில் போய் முடியும். இவை தான் உங்கள் நாட்டைச் சுற்றியுள்ள எல்லைகள் ஆகும்” என்றார்.
13 எனவே, மோசே இந்த கட்டளைகளை இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களிடம் கொடுத்தான். “அதுதான் நீங்கள் பெறப்போகிற நாடு. இதனைச் சீட்டுக்குலுக்கல் மூலமாக 9 கோத்திரங்களுக்கும் மனாசேயின் பாதி குடும்பத்திற்கும் பங்கிட்டுக்கொள்ள வேண்டும். 14 ரூபன் மற்றும் காத்தின் கோத்திரத்தினரும் மனாசேயின் பாதிக் குடும்பத்தினரும் ஏற்கெனவே தங்கள் நாட்டைப் பெற்றுள்ளனர். 15 அந்த இரண்டரைக் கோத்திரத்தினரும் எரிகோவின் அருகில் யோர்தானுக்குக் கிழக்கே உள்ள நாடுகளைப் பெற்றுள்ளனர்” என்றான்.
16 பிறகு கர்த்தர் மோசேயோடு பேசினார். 17 அவர், “நாட்டைப் பங்கு வைக்க ஆசாரியனாகிய எலெயாசாரும், நூனின் குமாரனான யோசுவாவும், 18 கோத்திரங்களின் தலைவர்களும் உங்களுக்கு உதவுவார்கள். ஒவ்வொரு கோத்திரத்திற்கும் ஒரு தலைவர் இருப்பார். அவர்கள் நாட்டைப் பங்கு போட்டுக் கொடுப்பார்கள். 19 பின் வருபவை அந்த தலைவர்களின் பெயர்களாகும்:
யூதாவின் கோத்திரத்திலிருந்து எப்புன்னேயின் குமாரனான காலேபு;
20 சிமியோனின் கோத்திரத்திலிருந்து அம்மியூதின் குமாரனான சாமுவேல்;
21 பென்யமீனின் கோத்திரத்திலிருந்து கிஸ்லோனின் குமாரனான எலிதாது;
22 தாணின் கோத்திரத்திலிருந்து யொக்லியின் குமாரனான புக்கி;
23 யோசேப்பின் குமாரனான மனாசேயின் கோத்திரத்திலிருந்து எபோதின் குமாரனாகிய அன்னியேல்:
24 எப்பிராயீமின் கோத்திரத்திலிருந்து சிப்தானின் குமாரனாகிய கேமுவேல்;
25 செபுலோனின் கோத்திரத்திலிருந்து பர்னாகின் குமாரனாகிய எலிசாப்பான்;
26 இசக்காரின் கோத்திரத்திலிருந்து ஆசானின் குமாரனாகிய பல்த்தியேல்;
27 ஆசேரின் கோத்திரத்திலிருந்து செலோமியின் குமாரனான அகியூத்;
28 நப்தலியின் கோத்திரத்திலிருந்து அம்மியூதின் குமாரனான பெதாக்கேல்” என்றார்.
29 இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்கள் மத்தியில் கானான் தேசத்தைப் பங்கிடும்படி கர்த்தர் இவர்களைத் தெரிந்தெடுத்தார்.

De grenzen van Kanaän
34 De Heer zei tegen Mozes: 2 "Zeg tegen de Israëlieten: Als jullie in Kanaän komen, zal dat land van jullie zijn. Dit zullen de grenzen zijn:
3 De zuidgrens zal lopen vanaf de Zin-woestijn, langs Edom, tot aan de zuidpunt van de Zoutzee in het oosten. 4 Dan zal de grens ombuigen van het zuiden omhoog naar de Akrabbim-pas en verder lopen tot Zin. De grens zal langs de zuidkant van Kades-Barnea verder lopen naar Hazar-Addar en Azmon. 5 Daar zal de grens ombuigen naar de Beek van Egypte en eindigen bij de Grote Zee.[a]
6 De Grote Zee en de kust zullen de westgrens zijn.
7 En dit zal de noordgrens zijn: vanaf de Grote Zee loopt de grens naar de berg Hor. 8 Vanaf Hor naar de weg naar Hamat en dan verder naar Zedad. 9 Van daar naar Zifron en tot aan Hazar-Enan. Dit zal de noordgrens zijn.
10 In het oosten loopt de grens van Hazar-Enan naar Sefam. 11 Van Sefam naar het zuiden, naar Ribla, ten oosten van Aïn. Daar zal de grens verder naar het zuiden lopen langs de oostkant van de zee Kinnéret. 12 Daar zal de grens verder naar het zuiden gaan langs de Jordaan en eindigen bij de Zoutzee. Dit zullen de grenzen van jullie land zijn."
13 En Mozes beval de Israëlieten: "Dit is het land dat jullie onder elkaar moeten verdelen door er om te loten. Dit is het land dat de Heer aan 9½ stam geeft. 14 Want de stammen van Ruben en Gad en de helft van de stam van Manasse hebben hun eigen gebied al gekregen. 15 Hun eigen gebied is aan de oostkant van de Jordaan, tegenover Jericho."
De namen van de leiders van de stammen
16 En de Heer zei tegen Mozes: 17 "Dit zijn de namen van de mannen die het land onder jullie moeten verloten: ten eerste de priester Eleazar en Jozua, de zoon van Nun. 18 Verder moet uit elke stam één leider loten over het stuk grond dat ze zullen bezitten.
19 Dit zijn de namen van die mannen:
van de stam van Juda: Kaleb, de zoon van Jefunne.
20 Van de stam van Simeon: Semuël, de zoon van Ammihud.
21 Van de stam van Benjamin: Elidad, de zoon van Kislon.
22 Van de stam van Dan een leider: Bukki, de zoon van Jogli.
23 Van de zonen van Jozef, van de stam van Manasse een leider: Hanniël, de zoon van Efod.
24 Van de zonen van Jozef, van de stam van Efraïm een leider: Kemuël, de zoon van Siftan.
25 Van de stam van Zebulon een leider: Elizafan, de zoon van Parnach.
26 Van de stam van Issaschar een leider: Paltiël, de zoon van Azzan.
27 Van de stam van Aser een leider: Achihud, de zoon van Selomi.
28 Van de stam van Naftali een leider: Pedaël, de zoon van Ammihud.
29 Dit zijn de mannen aan wie de Heer het bevel gegeven heeft om Kanaän te verloten onder de Israëlieten.

Boundaries of Canaan
34 The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Command the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you enter Canaan,(A) the land that will be allotted to you as an inheritance(B) is to have these boundaries:(C)
3 “‘Your southern side will include some of the Desert of Zin(D) along the border of Edom. Your southern boundary will start in the east from the southern end of the Dead Sea,(E) 4 cross south of Scorpion Pass,(F) continue on to Zin and go south of Kadesh Barnea.(G) Then it will go to Hazar Addar and over to Azmon,(H) 5 where it will turn, join the Wadi of Egypt(I) and end at the Mediterranean Sea.
6 “‘Your western boundary will be the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.(J) This will be your boundary on the west.(K)
7 “‘For your northern boundary,(L) run a line from the Mediterranean Sea to Mount Hor(M) 8 and from Mount Hor to Lebo Hamath.(N) Then the boundary will go to Zedad, 9 continue to Ziphron and end at Hazar Enan. This will be your boundary on the north.
10 “‘For your eastern boundary,(O) run a line from Hazar Enan to Shepham. 11 The boundary will go down from Shepham to Riblah(P) on the east side of Ain(Q) and continue along the slopes east of the Sea of Galilee.[a](R) 12 Then the boundary will go down along the Jordan and end at the Dead Sea.
“‘This will be your land, with its boundaries on every side.’”
13 Moses commanded the Israelites: “Assign this land by lot(S) as an inheritance.(T) The Lord has ordered that it be given to the nine and a half tribes, 14 because the families of the tribe of Reuben, the tribe of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance.(U) 15 These two and a half tribes have received their inheritance east of the Jordan across from Jericho, toward the sunrise.”
16 The Lord said to Moses, 17 “These are the names of the men who are to assign the land for you as an inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua(V) son of Nun. 18 And appoint one leader from each tribe to help(W) assign the land.(X) 19 These are their names:(Y)
Caleb(Z) son of Jephunneh,
from the tribe of Judah;(AA)
20 Shemuel son of Ammihud,
from the tribe of Simeon;(AB)
21 Elidad son of Kislon,
from the tribe of Benjamin;(AC)
22 Bukki son of Jogli,
the leader from the tribe of Dan;
23 Hanniel son of Ephod,
the leader from the tribe of Manasseh(AD) son of Joseph;
24 Kemuel son of Shiphtan,
the leader from the tribe of Ephraim(AE) son of Joseph;
25 Elizaphan son of Parnak,
the leader from the tribe of Zebulun;(AF)
26 Paltiel son of Azzan,
the leader from the tribe of Issachar;
27 Ahihud son of Shelomi,
the leader from the tribe of Asher;(AG)
28 Pedahel son of Ammihud,
the leader from the tribe of Naphtali.”
29 These are the men the Lord commanded to assign the inheritance to the Israelites in the land of Canaan.(AH)

5 And the border shall fetch a compass from Azmon unto the river of Egypt, and the goings out of it shall be at the sea.
6 And as for the western border, ye shall even have the great sea for a border: this shall be your west border.
7 And this shall be your north border: from the great sea ye shall point out for you mount Hor:
8 From mount Hor ye shall point out your border unto the entrance of Hamath; and the goings forth of the border shall be to Zedad:
9 And the border shall go on to Ziphron, and the goings out of it shall be at Hazarenan: this shall be your north border.
10 And ye shall point out your east border from Hazarenan to Shepham:
11 And the coast shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall descend, and shall reach unto the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward:
12 And the border shall go down to Jordan, and the goings out of it shall be at the salt sea: this shall be your land with the coasts thereof round about.
13 And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the Lord commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe:
14 For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to the house of their fathers, have received their inheritance; and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance:
15 The two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side Jordan near Jericho eastward, toward the sunrising.
16 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
17 These are the names of the men which shall divide the land unto you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.
18 And ye shall take one prince of every tribe, to divide the land by inheritance.
19 And the names of the men are these: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
20 And of the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud.
21 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon.
22 And the prince of the tribe of the children of Dan, Bukki the son of Jogli.
23 The prince of the children of Joseph, for the tribe of the children of Manasseh, Hanniel the son of Ephod.

34 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Command the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When you come into (A)the land of Canaan, this is the land that shall fall to you as an inheritance—the land of Canaan to its boundaries. 3 (B)Your southern border shall be from the Wilderness of Zin along the border of Edom; then your southern border shall extend eastward to the end of (C)the Salt Sea; 4 your border shall turn from the southern side of (D)the Ascent of Akrabbim, continue to Zin, and be on the south of (E)Kadesh Barnea; then it shall go on to (F)Hazar Addar, and continue to Azmon; 5 the border shall turn from Azmon (G)to the Brook of Egypt, and it shall end at the Sea.

This shall be your northern border.
10 ‘You shall mark out your eastern border from Hazar Enan to Shepham; 11 the border shall go down from Shepham (M)to Riblah on the east side of Ain; the border shall go down and reach to the eastern [a]side of the Sea (N)of Chinnereth; 12 the border shall go down along the Jordan, and it shall end at (O)the Salt Sea. This shall be your land with its surrounding boundaries.’ ”
13 Then Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying: (P)“This is the land which you shall inherit by lot, which the Lord has commanded to give to the nine tribes and to the half-tribe. 14 (Q)For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to the house of their fathers, have received their inheritance; and the half-tribe of Manasseh has received its inheritance. 15 The two tribes and the half-tribe have received their inheritance on this side of the Jordan, across from Jericho eastward, toward the sunrise.”
The Leaders Appointed to Divide the Land
16 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 17 “These are the names of the men who shall divide the land among you as an inheritance: (R)Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun. 18 And you shall take one (S)leader of every tribe to divide the land for the inheritance. 19 These are the names of the men: from the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh; 20 from the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud; 21 from the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon; 22 a leader from the tribe of the children of Dan, Bukki the son of Jogli; 23 from the sons of Joseph: a leader from the tribe of the children of Manasseh, Hanniel the son of Ephod, 24 and a leader from the tribe of the children of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan; 25 a leader from the tribe of the children of Zebulun, Elizaphan the son of Parnach; 26 a leader from the tribe of the children of Issachar, Paltiel the son of Azzan; 27 a leader from the tribe of the children of Asher, Ahihud the son of Shelomi; 28 and a leader from the tribe of the children of Naphtali, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.”
29 These are the ones the Lord commanded to [b]divide the inheritance among the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.
