خدا وند سے فریاد
5 اے خداوند! ہمارے ساتھ جو ہوا ہے یا د رکھ
اے خداوند! ہماری رسوا ئی کو دیکھ۔
2 ہماری زمین غیرو ں کے ہا تھو ں میں دیدی گئی۔
ہمارے گھر پردیسیوں کے ہا تھوں میں دیئے گئے۔
3 ہم یتیم ہو گئے۔ہمارا کو ئی با پ نہیں۔
ہماری ما ئیں بیوہ کی طرح ہو گئیں۔
4 ہم جو پانی پیتے ہیں اس کی قیمت ادا کرنی پڑتی ہے۔
ایندھن کی لکڑی تک خریدنی پڑتی ہے۔
5 اپنے کندھوں پر ہمیں جو ئے کا بو جھ اٹھانا پڑتا ہے۔
ہم تھک کر چور ہو جا تے ہیں۔ہم کو آرام تک نہیں ملتا ہے۔
6 ہم نے مصر کے ساتھ ایک معا ہدہ کیا،
اسور کے ساتھ بھی ہم نے ایک معاہدہ کیا تھا تا کہ مناسب رو ٹی ملے۔
7 ہمارے باپ دادا نے تیرے خلاف گناہ کیا تھا۔ آج وہ مر چکے ہیں۔
اب ان کی ان گنا ہوں کی وجہ سے ہم مصیبت جھیل رہے ہیں۔
8 ہمارے غلام ہی حکمراں بنے ہیں۔
یہاں کو ئی ایسا شخص نہیں جو ہم کو ان سے بچا لے۔
9 بس رو ٹی پانے کے لئے ہمیں اپنی زندگی داؤ پر لگانی پڑتی ہے۔
بیابان میں ایسے لوگوں کے سبب جن کے پاس تلوار ہے ہمیں اپنی زندگی دا ؤ پر لگانی پڑتی ہے۔
10 ہماری کھال تنور کی مانند گرم ہے۔
اس بھو ک کے سبب سے جو ہم لوگوں کو لگی ہے ہمیں تیز بخار ہے۔
11 دختر صیون کے ساتھ بے حرمتی کی گئی ہے۔
یہودا ہ کے شہرو ں کی پاک دامن کنواریوں کے ساتھ بے حرمتی کی گئی ہے۔
12 ہمارے شہزادو ں کو دشمنو ں نے لٹکا دیا تھا۔
انہوں نے ہمارے بزرگو ں کا احترام نہیں کیا۔
13 ہمارے دشمنو ں نے ہمارے جوان مردو ں سے چکی پسوا ئی۔
ہمارے جوان مرد لکڑی کے بوجھ کی وجہ سے گر گئے۔
14 ہمارے بزرگ اب شہر کے پھاٹکوں پر بیٹھا نہیں کر تے
ہمارے جوان اب نغمہ پر دازی میں حصہ نہیں لیتے۔
15 ہمارے دل میں اب کو ئی خوشی نہیں ہے۔
ہمارا رقص مرے ہو ئے لوگوں کے ماتم میں بدل گیا ہے۔
16 ہمارا تاج ہمارے سر سے گر گیا ہے۔
ہماری سب باتیں بگڑ گئی ہیں، کیونکہ ہم نے گنا ہ کیا تھا۔
17 اسی لئے ہمارے دل بیمار ہو گئے ہیں،
ان ہی باتوں سے ہماری آنکھیں مدھم ہو گئی ہیں۔
18 کو ہ صیون ویران ہو گیا ہے۔
صیون کے پہاڑ پر اب گیدڑ گھومتے ہیں۔
19 لیکن اے خداوند! تیری حکومت تو دا ئمی ہے
اور تیرا تخت پُشت درپُشت ہے۔
20 اے خداوند! تو ہم لوگوں کو ہمیشہ کیلئے کیوں بھول گیا ہے۔
ایسا لگتا ہے جیسے مدت کے لئے تو نے ہمیں اکیلا چھوڑدیا ہے۔
21 اے خداوند! ہم کو اپنی جانب مو ڑ لے ہم خوشی سے تیرے پاس لوٹ آئیں گے۔
ہمارے دن پھیر دے جیسے وہ پہلے تھے۔
22 کیا تو نے ہمیں پو ری طرح بھلا دیا ہے؟
تو ہم سے بہت نارا ض رہا ہے۔

5 Remember, Lord, what has happened to us;
look, and see our disgrace.(A)
2 Our inheritance(B) has been turned over to strangers,(C)
our homes(D) to foreigners.(E)
3 We have become fatherless,
our mothers are widows.(F)
4 We must buy the water we drink;(G)
our wood can be had only at a price.(H)
5 Those who pursue us are at our heels;
we are weary(I) and find no rest.(J)
6 We submitted to Egypt and Assyria(K)
to get enough bread.
7 Our ancestors(L) sinned and are no more,
and we bear their punishment.(M)
8 Slaves(N) rule over us,
and there is no one to free us from their hands.(O)
9 We get our bread at the risk of our lives
because of the sword in the desert.
10 Our skin is hot as an oven,
feverish from hunger.(P)
11 Women have been violated(Q) in Zion,
and virgins in the towns of Judah.
12 Princes have been hung up by their hands;
elders(R) are shown no respect.(S)
13 Young men toil at the millstones;
boys stagger under loads of wood.
14 The elders are gone from the city gate;
the young men have stopped their music.(T)
15 Joy is gone from our hearts;
our dancing has turned to mourning.(U)
16 The crown(V) has fallen from our head.(W)
Woe to us, for we have sinned!(X)
17 Because of this our hearts(Y) are faint,(Z)
because of these things our eyes(AA) grow dim(AB)
18 for Mount Zion,(AC) which lies desolate,(AD)
with jackals prowling over it.
19 You, Lord, reign forever;(AE)
your throne endures(AF) from generation to generation.
20 Why do you always forget us?(AG)
Why do you forsake(AH) us so long?
21 Restore(AI) us to yourself, Lord, that we may return;
renew our days as of old
22 unless you have utterly rejected us(AJ)
and are angry with us beyond measure.(AK)

5 Remember, (A)O Lord, what has come upon us;
Look, and behold (B)our reproach!
2 (C)Our inheritance has been turned over to aliens,
And our houses to foreigners.
3 We have become orphans and waifs,
Our mothers are like (D)widows.
4 We pay for the water we drink,
And our wood comes at a price.
5 (E)They pursue at our [a]heels;
We labor and have no rest.
6 (F)We have given our hand (G)to the Egyptians
And the (H)Assyrians, to be satisfied with bread.
7 (I)Our fathers sinned and are no more,
But we bear their iniquities.
8 Servants rule over us;
There is none to deliver us from their hand.
9 We get our bread at the risk of our lives,
Because of the sword in the wilderness.
10 Our skin is hot as an oven,
Because of the fever of famine.
11 They (J)ravished the women in Zion,
The maidens in the cities of Judah.
12 Princes were hung up by their hands,
And elders were not respected.
13 Young men (K)ground at the millstones;
Boys staggered under loads of wood.
14 The elders have ceased gathering at the gate,
And the young men from their (L)music.
15 The joy of our heart has ceased;
Our dance has turned into (M)mourning.
16 (N)The crown has fallen from our head.
Woe to us, for we have sinned!
17 Because of this our heart is faint;
(O)Because of these things our eyes grow dim;
18 Because of Mount Zion which is (P)desolate,
With foxes walking about on it.
19 You, O Lord, (Q)remain forever;
(R)Your throne from generation to generation.
20 (S)Why do You forget us forever,
And forsake us for so long a time?
21 (T)Turn us back to You, O Lord, and we will be [b]restored;
Renew our days as of old,
22 Unless You have utterly rejected us,
And are very angry with us!
