Подлинно ли вы, правители,
    говорите беспристрастно?
    Справедливо ли судите меж людьми?
Нет, неправду вы замышляете,
    ваши руки творят на земле произвол.

От утробы матери нечестивые – среди отступников;
    с рождения сбились с пути и обманывают.
Яд их подобен яду змеиному,
    яду глухой кобры, что уши свои затыкает
и не слышит голоса заклинателя,
    как бы тот ни был искусен.

Раздроби зубы у них во рту, о Боже;
    вырви, Господи, клыки у львов!
Да исчезнут, как высохшая вода;
    пусть будут как надломленные стрелы в натянутом луке[a],
как улитка, что растает, слизью изойдя,
    как мертворожденный, что не увидит света.

10 Прежде чем ваши котлы согреет горящий терн –
    зелен он или сух – нечестивые будут погублены[b].
11 Праведники возрадуются, когда увидят возмездие,
    когда омоют стопы в крови нечестивых.
12 И будут тогда говорить:
    «Поистине, праведным есть награда;
поистине, есть Бог, судящий на земле».

I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings(D)

I cry out to God Most High,
    to God, who vindicates me.(F)
He sends from heaven and saves me,(G)
    rebuking those who hotly pursue me—[c](H)
    God sends forth his love and his faithfulness.(I)

I am in the midst of lions;(J)
    I am forced to dwell among ravenous beasts—
men whose teeth are spears and arrows,
    whose tongues are sharp swords.(K)

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
    let your glory be over all the earth.(L)

They spread a net for my feet(M)
    I was bowed down(N) in distress.
They dug a pit(O) in my path—
    but they have fallen into it themselves.(P)

My heart, O God, is steadfast,

Awake, my soul!
