2 Судьи, честны ли ваши речи?
По справедливости ли судите людей?
3 Нет, в своём сердце прячете вы зло,
своими руками совершаете жуткие
преступления на земле.
4 Зло творящие лживы уже во чреве,
и от рождения неразлучны с грехом.
5 Злоба их—
вроде смертельного яда[a] оглохшей кобры,
6 звуков искусного заклинателя
не слышит она.
7 Господи, вырви их зубы,
разорви их львиные пасти.
8 Пусть отхлынут они как вода
или будут затоптаны
словно придорожный сорняк[b].
9 Пусть тают они на ходу как улитки
и пусть как мертворождённый
дневного света не увидят они.
10 Да сгорят они словно щепы,
которые сжигают, чтобы разогреть котёл.
11 Будь радостен, праведник,
наказанию грешных.
Словно победоносный воин пройдёт он
через пролитую кровь своих врагов[c].
12 Тогда люди скажут:
«Есть Бог, Который судит мир![d]
Будет праведник воистину вознаграждён!»

For the director of music. To the tune of “Do Not Destroy.” Of David. A miktam.[b] When he had fled from Saul into the cave.(B)
1 Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me,
for in you I take refuge.(C)
I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings(D)
until the disaster has passed.(E)
2 I cry out to God Most High,
to God, who vindicates me.(F)
3 He sends from heaven and saves me,(G)
rebuking those who hotly pursue me—[c](H)
God sends forth his love and his faithfulness.(I)
4 I am in the midst of lions;(J)
I am forced to dwell among ravenous beasts—
men whose teeth are spears and arrows,
whose tongues are sharp swords.(K)
5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory be over all the earth.(L)
6 They spread a net for my feet(M)—
I was bowed down(N) in distress.
They dug a pit(O) in my path—
but they have fallen into it themselves.(P)
7 My heart, O God, is steadfast,
my heart is steadfast;(Q)
I will sing and make music.
8 Awake, my soul!
Awake, harp and lyre!(R)
I will awaken the dawn.
9 I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;
I will sing of you among the peoples.
10 For great is your love, reaching to the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches to the skies.(S)

57 Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.
2 I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.
3 He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.
4 My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.
6 They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah.
7 My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.
8 Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
9 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations.
10 For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.
11 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth.
