1 Павел Апостол, [избранный] не человеками и не через человека, но Иисусом Христом и Богом Отцем, воскресившим Его из мертвых,

²и все находящиеся со мною братия--церквам Галатийским:

³благодать вам и мир от Бога Отца и Господа нашего Иисуса Христа,

⁴Который отдал Себя Самого за грехи наши, чтобы избавить нас от настоящего лукавого века, по воле Бога и Отца нашего;

⁵Ему слава во веки веков. Аминь.

⁶Удивляюсь, что вы от призвавшего вас благодатью Христовою так скоро переходите к иному благовествованию,

⁷которое [впрочем] не иное, а только есть люди, смущающие вас и желающие превратить благовествование Христово.

⁸Но если бы даже мы или Ангел с неба стал благовествовать вам не то, что мы благовествовали вам, да будет анафема.

⁹Как прежде мы сказали, [так] и теперь еще говорю: кто благовествует вам не то, что вы приняли, да будет анафема.

¹⁰У людей ли я ныне ищу благоволения, или у Бога? людям ли угождать стараюсь? Если бы я и поныне угождал людям, то не был бы рабом Христовым.

¹¹Возвещаю вам, братия, что Евангелие, которое я благовествовал, не есть человеческое,

¹²ибо и я принял его и научился не от человека, но через откровение Иисуса Христа.

¹³Вы слышали о моем прежнем образе жизни в Иудействе, что я жестоко гнал Церковь Божию, и опустошал ее,

¹⁴и преуспевал в Иудействе более многих сверстников в роде моем, будучи неумеренным ревнителем отеческих моих преданий.

¹⁵Когда же Бог, избравший меня от утробы матери моей и призвавший благодатью Своею, благоволил

¹⁶открыть во мне Сына Своего, чтобы я благовествовал Его язычникам, --я не стал тогда же советоваться с плотью и кровью,

¹⁷и не пошел в Иерусалим к предшествовавшим мне Апостолам, а пошел в Аравию, и опять возвратился в Дамаск.

¹⁸Потом, спустя три года, ходил я в Иерусалим видеться с Петром и пробыл у него дней пятнадцать.

¹⁹Другого же из Апостолов я не видел [никого], кроме Иакова, брата Господня.

²⁰А в том, что пишу вам, пред Богом, не лгу.

²¹После сего отошел я в страны Сирии и Киликии.

²²Церквам Христовым в Иудее лично я не был известен,

²³а только слышали они, что гнавший их некогда ныне благовествует веру, которую прежде истреблял, --

²⁴и прославляли за меня Бога.

Greeting

1 Paul, an apostle (not from men nor through man, but ^(A)through Jesus Christ and God the Father ^(B)who raised Him from the dead), ²and all the brethren who are with me,

To the churches of Galatia:

³Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, ⁴^(C)who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us ^(D)from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, ⁵to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Only One Gospel

⁶I marvel that you are turning away so soon ^(E)from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, ⁷^(F)which is not another; but there are some ^(G)who trouble you and want to ^(H)pervert^[a] the gospel of Christ. ⁸But even if ^(I)we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be ^[b]accursed. ⁹As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you ^(J)than what you have received, let him be accursed.

¹⁰For ^(K)do I now ^(L)persuade men, or God? Or ^(M)do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.

Call to Apostleship^(N)

¹¹^(O)But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. ¹²For ^(P)I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came ^(Q)through the revelation of Jesus Christ.

¹³For you have heard of my former conduct in Judaism, how ^(R)I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and ^(S)tried to destroy it. ¹⁴And I advanced in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries in my own nation, ^(T)being more exceedingly zealous ^(U)for the traditions of my fathers.

¹⁵But when it pleased God, ^(V)who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, ¹⁶^(W)to reveal His Son in me, that ^(X)I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with ^(Y)flesh and blood, ¹⁷nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia, and returned again to Damascus.

¹⁸Then after three years ^(AA)I went up to Jerusalem to see ^[c]Peter, and remained with him fifteen days. ¹⁹But ^(AB)I saw none of the other apostles except ^(AC)James, the Lord’s brother. ²⁰(Now concerning the things which I write to you, indeed, before God, I do not lie.)

²¹^(AD)Afterward I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia. ²²And I was unknown by face to the churches of Judea which ^(AE)were in Christ. ²³But they were ^(AF)hearing only, “He who formerly ^(AG)persecuted us now preaches the faith which he once tried to destroy.” ²⁴And they ^(AH)glorified God in me.

No Other Gospel

⁶I am astonished that you are ^(L)so quickly deserting ^(M)him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to ^(N)a different gospel— ⁷^(O)not that there is another one, but ^(P)there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. ⁸But even if we or ^(Q)an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, ^(R)let him be accursed. ⁹As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, ^(S)let him be accursed.

¹⁰For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying ^(T)to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a ^(U)servant^[b] of Christ.

Paul Called by God

¹¹For ^(V)I would have you know, brothers, that ^(W)the gospel that was preached by me is not man's gospel.^[c] ¹²^(X)For I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but I received it ^(Y)through a revelation of Jesus Christ. ¹³For you have heard of ^(Z)my former life in Judaism, how ^(AA)I persecuted the church of God violently and tried to destroy it. ¹⁴And I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people, so extremely ^(AB)zealous was I for ^(AC)the traditions of my fathers. ¹⁵But when he ^(AD)who had set me apart ^(AE)before I was born,^[d] and who ^(AF)called me by his grace, ¹⁶was pleased to reveal his Son to^[e] me, in order ^(AG)that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with anyone;^[f] ¹⁷nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia, and returned again to Damascus.

1 Paul, an apostle^(A)—sent not from men nor by a man,^(B) but by Jesus Christ^(C) and God the Father,^(D) who raised him from the dead^(E)— ²and all the brothers and sisters^[a] with me,^(F)

To the churches in Galatia:^(G)

³Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,^(H) ⁴who gave himself for our sins^(I) to rescue us from the present evil age,^(J) according to the will of our God and Father,^(K) ⁵to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.^(L)

No Other Gospel

⁶I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called^(M) you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel^(N)— ⁷which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion^(O) and are trying to pervert^(P) the gospel of Christ. ⁸But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you,^(Q) let them be under God’s curse!^(R) ⁹As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted,^(S) let them be under God’s curse!

¹⁰Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people?^(T) If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Paul Called by God

¹¹I want you to know, brothers and sisters,^(U) that the gospel I preached^(V) is not of human origin. ¹²I did not receive it from any man,^(W) nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation^(X) from Jesus Christ.^(Y)

¹³For you have heard of my previous way of life in Judaism,^(Z) how intensely I persecuted the church of God^(AA) and tried to destroy it.^(AB) ¹⁴I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people and was extremely zealous^(AC) for the traditions of my fathers.^(AD) ¹⁵But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb^(AE) and called me^(AF) by his grace, was pleased ¹⁶to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles,^(AG) my immediate response was not to consult any human being.^(AH) ¹⁷I did not go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was, but I went into Arabia. Later I returned to Damascus.^(AI)

¹⁸Then after three years,^(AJ) I went up to Jerusalem^(AK) to get acquainted with Cephas^[b] and stayed with him fifteen days. ¹⁹I saw none of the other apostles—only James,^(AL) the Lord’s brother. ²⁰I assure you before God^(AM) that what I am writing you is no lie.^(AN)
