Свети пут
35 Нека им се узрадује пустиња,
земља сасушена.
Нека кличе пустара,
нека као шафран процвета.
2 Нека бујно цвати цват,
и нека још кличе од радости и певања.
Њој је дана слава ливанска,
красота кармилска и саронска.
Они ће гледати славу Господњу,
красоту Бога нашега.
3 Руке клонуле укрепите,
и колена клецава учврстите.
4 Реците преплашеним срцима:
„Будите јаки, не бојте се!
Ево Бога вашега,
одмазда долази,
наплата Божија.
Он са̂м хита да вас спасе!“
5 Тада ће се слепима отворити очи
и глувима ће се уши отворити;
6 тада ће хроми као јелен скакати,
и певаће језик у немога;
јер ће вода избијати у пустињи
и потоци у пустари,
7 тле спаљено постаће рит,
а жедна земља водоскоци;
у јазбинама за шакале
сместиће се зеленило за трску и рогоз.
8 Тамо ће пролазити друм и пут,
и он ће се звати „Свети пут“;
нико нечист њиме проћи неће
него ће бити за њих,
за оне који путем иду, а ту луди неће залутати.
9 Тамо лава више бити неће,
нити ће тамо пролазити звер,
нити ће се наћи,
него ће ходати откупљени.
10 Вратиће се избављени Господњи,
доћи ће у Сион с весељем
и с радошћу вечном на челима;
пратиће их раздраганост и радост,
а побећи ће жалост и уздаси.

Радост откупљених
35 Радоваће се пустиња и сасушена земља;
веселиће се пустара и процветати.
Као шафран
2 ће се расцветати,
силно се радовати и клицати од радости.
Даће јој се слава Либана,
сјај Кармела и Шарона.
Видеће Славу ГОСПОДЊУ,
сјај Бога нашега.
3 Оснажите слабашне руке,
учврстите клецава колена.
4 Реците плашљивима у срцу:
»Будите јаки! Не бојте се!
Ваш Бог ће доћи с осветом,
са Божијом одмаздом ће доћи
да вас спасе.«
5 Тада ће се отворити очи слепима
и отпушити уши глувима.
6 Тада ће хроми поскакивати као јелен,
језик немих клицати од радости.
Вода ће покуљати у пустари
и потоци у пустињи.
7 Ужарени песак постаће језеро,
жедна земља извори воде.
У јазбинама где су лежали шакали
израшће трава, шаш и трска.
8 Биће тамо широк друм,
а зваће се Пут светости.
Нечисти неће пролазити њиме.
Биће то пут за Божији народ,
за оне који по њему иду.
Опаки безумници неће тумарати по њему.
9 На том друму неће бити лава,
нити ће се крвожедна звер пењати на њега –
неће се на њему наћи.
Њиме ће ићи само откупљени.
10 Вратиће се они које је ГОСПОД откупио
и певајући ући у Сион.
Биће окруњени вечном радошћу;
обузеће их радост и весеље,
а побећи ће туга и јецање.

The Future Glory of Zion
35 The (A)wilderness and the [a]wasteland shall be glad for them,
And the (B)desert[b] shall rejoice and blossom as the rose;
2 (C)It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice,
Even with joy and singing.
The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it,
The excellence of Carmel and Sharon.
They shall see the (D)glory of the Lord,
The excellency of our God.
3 (E)Strengthen the [c]weak hands,
And make firm the [d]feeble knees.
4 Say to those who are fearful-hearted,
“Be strong, do not fear!
Behold, your God will come with (F)vengeance,
With the recompense of God;
He will come and (G)save you.”
5 Then the (H)eyes of the blind shall be opened,
And (I)the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
6 Then the (J)lame shall leap like a deer,
And the (K)tongue of the dumb sing.
For (L)waters shall burst forth in the wilderness,
And streams in the desert.
7 The parched ground shall become a pool,
And the thirsty land springs of water;
In (M)the habitation of jackals, where each lay,
There shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
8 A (N)highway shall be there, and a road,
And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness.
(O)The unclean shall not pass over it,
But it shall be for others.
Whoever walks the road, although a fool,
Shall not go astray.
9 (P)No lion shall be there,
Nor shall any ravenous beast go up on it;
It shall not be found there.
But the redeemed shall walk there,
10 And the (Q)ransomed of the Lord shall return,
And come to Zion with singing,
With everlasting joy on their heads.
They shall obtain joy and gladness,
And (R)sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

35 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
2 It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God.
3 Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
7 And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
9 No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:
10 And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Joy of the Redeemed
35 The desert(A) and the parched land will be glad;
the wilderness will rejoice and blossom.(B)
Like the crocus,(C) 2 it will burst into bloom;
it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy.(D)
The glory of Lebanon(E) will be given to it,
the splendor of Carmel(F) and Sharon;(G)
they will see the glory(H) of the Lord,
the splendor of our God.(I)
3 Strengthen the feeble hands,
steady the knees(J) that give way;
4 say(K) to those with fearful hearts,(L)
“Be strong, do not fear;(M)
your God will come,(N)
he will come with vengeance;(O)
with divine retribution
he will come to save(P) you.”
5 Then will the eyes of the blind be opened(Q)
and the ears of the deaf(R) unstopped.
6 Then will the lame(S) leap like a deer,(T)
and the mute tongue(U) shout for joy.(V)
Water will gush forth in the wilderness
and streams(W) in the desert.
7 The burning sand will become a pool,
the thirsty ground(X) bubbling springs.(Y)
In the haunts where jackals(Z) once lay,
grass and reeds(AA) and papyrus will grow.
8 And a highway(AB) will be there;
it will be called the Way of Holiness;(AC)
it will be for those who walk on that Way.
The unclean(AD) will not journey on it;
wicked fools will not go about on it.
9 No lion(AE) will be there,
nor any ravenous beast;(AF)
they will not be found there.
But only the redeemed(AG) will walk there,
10 and those the Lord has rescued(AH) will return.
They will enter Zion with singing;(AI)
everlasting joy(AJ) will crown their heads.
Gladness(AK) and joy will overtake them,
and sorrow and sighing will flee away.(AL)
