66 Так говорит Господь:
– Небеса – престол Мой,
и земля – подножие ног Моих!
Какой вы можете построить Мне дом?
Где может быть место отдыха для Меня?
2 Все это сотворено Моей рукой,
и так все это появилось[a], –
возвещает Господь. –
Вот кем Я дорожу:
тем, кто кроток и сокрушен духом
и трепещет перед словом Моим.
3 Режущий в жертву быка –
как убивающий человека;
приносящий в жертву ягненка –
как ломающий шею псу;
представляющий хлебное приношение –
как приносящий свиную кровь[b],
и приносящий в памятную жертву ладан –
как тот, кто молится идолу[c].
Они сами избрали свои пути,
и мерзости их им приятны.
4 Что ж, и Я изберу суровое наказание для них
и наведу на них то, чего они боятся.
Когда Я звал, никто не ответил,
когда Я говорил, никто не слушал.
Они делали злое в Моих глазах
и избрали неугодное Мне.
5 Слушайте слово Господне,
трепещущие перед Его словом:
– Ваши братья, которые вас ненавидят
и изгоняют за имя Мое, сказали:
«Пусть Господь явит Себя в славе,
а мы посмотрим на вашу радость!»
Но они будут опозорены.
6 Вот, шум из города,
шум из храма – шум от того,
что Господь воздает врагам Своим по заслугам!
7 Еще не мучилась родами,
а уже родила;
еще не страдала от болей,
но уже разрешилась сыном.
8 Кто слышал о таком?
Кто видел подобное?
Рождается ли страна в один день
или народ – за одно мгновение?
Но дочь Сиона, едва начала мучиться родами,
как родила своих сыновей.
9 – Доведу ли Я до родов
и не дам родить? – говорит Господь. –
Разве закрою Я утробу,
дав силу родить? – говорит Бог твой. –
10 Ликуйте с дочерью Иерусалима и веселитесь о ней,
все, кто любит ее;
радуйтесь, радуйтесь с ней,
все, кто над ней плачет!
11 Потому что вы будете питаться и насыщаться
из ее груди, дающей утешение,
будете упиваться и наслаждаться
полнотой ее славы.
12 Ведь так говорит Господь:
– Я направляю к нему мир, как реку,
и богатства народов, как полноводный поток.
Вас будут кормить,
будут носить на руках
и качать на коленях.
13 Как мать утешает свое дитя,
так утешу вас Я;
вы будете утешены в Иерусалиме.
14 Когда вы увидите это, сердце ваше возрадуется,
и ваши тела[d] будут цвести, как трава;
Господня рука откроется Его слугам,
но ярость Его будет против Его врагов.
15 Вот, Господь придет в огне,
колесницы Его подобны урагану;
в ярости Он обрушит Свой гнев,
и в пылающем пламени – Свой укор.
16 Огнем и Своим мечом Господь исполнит
приговор над всеми людьми,
и много будет сраженных Господом.
17 – Те, кто освящается и очищается, чтобы идти, следуя за ведущим, в сады для поклонения идолам, кто ест свинину, мышей и другие мерзости[e], погибнут вместе, – возвещает Господь.
18 Я знаю их дела и мысли, и иду[f] собрать все народы и людей всех языков; они придут, увидят Мою славу, 19 и Я сотворю среди них знамение. Я пошлю некоторых из уцелевших к народам – в Таршиш, Пул[g] и Луд (знаменитый стрелками из лука), в Тувал и Грецию[h], к дальним островам, которые не слышали обо Мне и не видели Моей славы. Они возвестят Мою славу среди народов. 20 Они доставят всех ваших братьев из всех народов к Моей святой горе, в Иерусалим, как приношение Господу – на конях, в колесницах и повозках, на мулах и на верблюдах, – говорит Господь. – Они доставят их, как израильтяне доставляют свои хлебные приношения в храм Господа, в сосудах посвященных. 21 И еще Я отберу некоторых из них, чтобы они были священниками и левитами, – говорит Господь.
22 Потому что, как новое небо и новая земля, которые Я создам, устоят и останутся предо Мной, – возвещает Господь, – так останется ваше потомство и ваше имя. 23 И от Новолуния к Новолунию, от субботы к субботе все люди будут приходить и поклоняться Мне, – говорит Господь. – 24 Тогда они выйдут и посмотрят на трупы тех, кто отступил от Меня; их червь не умрет, и огонь их не угаснет[i], и они будут внушать отвращение всем людям.

Un culto corrompido
66 Así dice el Señor:
El cielo es mi trono,
la tierra, el escabel de mis pies.
¿Qué templo van a construirme,
o qué lugar donde pueda residir?
2 Todo eso lo ha hecho mi mano,
y así es como todo existió
—oráculo del Señor—.
En el pobre pongo mis ojos,
en el abatido que respeta mis palabras.
3 Hay quien inmola un toro
y también mata a un ser humano;
hay quien sacrifica una oveja
y también desnuca a un perro;
hay quien presenta una ofrenda
y también sangre de cerdo;
quien ofrece un memorial de incienso
y quien bendice a un dios cualquiera.
Pues si ellos eligieron su camino,
complacidos en sus abominaciones,
4 yo también elegiré sus castigos,
les traeré lo que más los espanta,
pues llamé y nadie respondió,
les hablé y no me escucharon,
hicieron el mal que detesto
y eligieron lo que no me gusta.
Destrucción de los rebeldes
5 Escuchen la palabra del Señor,
ustedes que tiemblan ante ella.
Dicen sus hermanos, que los odian,
que los detestan a causa de mi nombre:
“Que el Señor muestre su gloria
y veremos en qué para su gozo”.
¡Pues van a quedar confundidos!
6 Una voz atronadora sale de la ciudad,
una voz que procede del Templo;
es la voz del Señor que retribuye,
que da su merecido a sus enemigos.
Nuevo alumbramiento del pueblo
7 Sin tener contracciones,
ya había dado a luz;
antes de venirle los dolores,
ha dado vida a un varón.
8 ¿Quién oyó algo semejante,
quién ha visto cosa igual?
¿Se puede engendrar un país en un día,
o dar a luz a un pueblo de una vez?
Pues apenas sintió los dolores,
Sión dio a luz a sus hijos.
9 Si soy yo quien abre la matriz,
¿no seré quien haga dar a luz?
—dice el Señor—.
Y si soy quien hago dar a luz,
¿voy acaso a cerrarle el paso?
—dice tu Dios—.
10 ¡Festejen a Jerusalén,
alégrense por ella,
todos los que la aman;
gocen con su gozo
los que se dolían por ella!
11 Para mamar hasta hartaros
del consuelo de sus pechos;
para apurar con delicia
sus ubres bien repletas.
12 Pues así dice el Señor:
Voy a dirigir hacia ella
la paz, igual que un río;
como un torrente crecido,
la riqueza de los pueblos.
Mamaréis mecidos en los brazos,
acariciados sobre las rodillas;
13 como a un niño consolado por su madre,
así pienso yo consolarlos.
14 Al verlo, se alegrará su corazón,
florecerán sus huesos como prado.
Nuevo anuncio de destrucción
El Señor mostrará su poder a sus siervos,
y lanzará su cólera contra sus enemigos.
15 Vean al Señor, que llega como fuego,
con sus carros igual que el torbellino;
descargará enfurecido su cólera,
lanzará su bramido entre llamas.
16 El Señor va a juzgar con fuego,
con su espada a todo viviente,
y hará morir a muchos el Señor.
17 La gente que se consagra y purifica
para entrar en los jardines sagrados
siguiendo al sacerdote que preside,
los que comen carne de cerdo,
de ratas y animales asquerosos,
todos a una perecerán
junto con sus acciones y proyectos.

18 En cuanto a mí, voy a reunir a todas las naciones y lenguas, que llegarán y contemplarán mi gloria. 19 Les pondré una señal y enviaré a algunos de sus supervivientes a las naciones: a Tarsis, Put, Lud, Masac, Túbal, Javán y las islas lejanas, que no conocen mi fama ni han visto mi gloria, y hablarán de mi gloria entre las naciones. 20 Y traerán de todas las naciones, como ofrenda al Señor, a todos los hermanos de ustedes, montados en caballos, en carros y en literas, sobre mulos o dromedarios; los traerán a Jerusalén, mi monte santo —dice el Señor—, del mismo modo que traen los israelitas su ofrenda en una vasija pura al Templo del Señor. 21 Elegiré a algunos de ellos como sacerdotes o levitas dice el Señor. 22 Del mismo modo que el nuevo cielo y la nueva tierra que voy a hacer perdurarán ante mí, así perdurará la descendencia de ustedes y su apellido.
23 Luna nueva tras luna nueva
y sábado tras sábado,
vendrá todo viviente
a postrarse ante mí

24 Cuando salgan del Templo
podrán contemplar
los cadáveres de aquellos
que se rebelaron contra mí,
pues su gusano no muere
y su fuego no se extingue.

66 This is what the Lord says:
“Heaven is my throne,(A)
and the earth is my footstool.(B)
Where is the house(C) you will build for me?
Where will my resting place be?
2 Has not my hand made all these things,(D)
and so they came into being?”
declares the Lord.
“These are the ones I look on with favor:
those who are humble and contrite in spirit,(E)
and who tremble at my word.(F)
3 But whoever sacrifices a bull(G)
is like one who kills a person,
and whoever offers a lamb
is like one who breaks a dog’s neck;
whoever makes a grain offering
is like one who presents pig’s(H) blood,
and whoever burns memorial incense(I)
is like one who worships an idol.
They have chosen their own ways,(J)
and they delight in their abominations;(K)
4 so I also will choose harsh treatment for them
and will bring on them what they dread.(L)
For when I called, no one answered,(M)
when I spoke, no one listened.
They did evil(N) in my sight
and chose what displeases me.”(O)
5 Hear the word of the Lord,
you who tremble at his word:(P)
“Your own people who hate(Q) you,
and exclude you because of my name, have said,
‘Let the Lord be glorified,
that we may see your joy!’
Yet they will be put to shame.(R)
6 Hear that uproar from the city,
hear that noise from the temple!
It is the sound(S) of the Lord
repaying(T) his enemies all they deserve.
7 “Before she goes into labor,(U)
she gives birth;
before the pains come upon her,
she delivers a son.(V)
8 Who has ever heard of such things?
Who has ever seen(W) things like this?
Can a country be born in a day(X)
or a nation be brought forth in a moment?
Yet no sooner is Zion in labor
than she gives birth to her children.(Y)
9 Do I bring to the moment of birth(Z)
and not give delivery?” says the Lord.
“Do I close up the womb
when I bring to delivery?” says your God.
10 “Rejoice(AA) with Jerusalem and be glad for her,
all you who love(AB) her;
rejoice greatly with her,
all you who mourn(AC) over her.
11 For you will nurse(AD) and be satisfied
at her comforting breasts;(AE)
you will drink deeply
and delight in her overflowing abundance.”(AF)
12 For this is what the Lord says:
“I will extend peace(AG) to her like a river,(AH)
and the wealth(AI) of nations like a flooding stream;
you will nurse and be carried(AJ) on her arm
and dandled on her knees.
13 As a mother comforts her child,(AK)
so will I comfort(AL) you;
and you will be comforted over Jerusalem.”
14 When you see this, your heart will rejoice(AM)
and you will flourish(AN) like grass;
the hand(AO) of the Lord will be made known to his servants,(AP)
but his fury(AQ) will be shown to his foes.
15 See, the Lord is coming with fire,(AR)
and his chariots(AS) are like a whirlwind;(AT)
he will bring down his anger with fury,
and his rebuke(AU) with flames of fire.
16 For with fire(AV) and with his sword(AW)
the Lord will execute judgment(AX) on all people,
and many will be those slain(AY) by the Lord.
17 “Those who consecrate and purify themselves to go into the gardens,(AZ) following one who is among those who eat the flesh of pigs,(BA) rats(BB) and other unclean things—they will meet their end(BC) together with the one they follow,” declares the Lord.
18 “And I, because of what they have planned and done,(BD) am about to come[a] and gather the people of all nations(BE) and languages, and they will come and see my glory.(BF)
19 “I will set a sign(BG) among them, and I will send some of those who survive(BH) to the nations—to Tarshish,(BI) to the Libyans[b] and Lydians(BJ) (famous as archers), to Tubal(BK) and Greece,(BL) and to the distant islands(BM) that have not heard of my fame or seen my glory.(BN) They will proclaim my glory among the nations. 20 And they will bring(BO) all your people, from all the nations, to my holy mountain(BP) in Jerusalem as an offering to the Lord—on horses, in chariots and wagons, and on mules and camels,”(BQ) says the Lord. “They will bring them, as the Israelites bring their grain offerings, to the temple of the Lord in ceremonially clean vessels.(BR) 21 And I will select some of them also to be priests(BS) and Levites,” says the Lord.
22 “As the new heavens and the new earth(BT) that I make will endure before me,” declares the Lord, “so will your name and descendants endure.(BU) 23 From one New Moon to another and from one Sabbath(BV) to another, all mankind will come and bow down(BW) before me,” says the Lord. 24 “And they will go out and look on the dead bodies(BX) of those who rebelled(BY) against me; the worms(BZ) that eat them will not die, the fire that burns them will not be quenched,(CA) and they will be loathsome to all mankind.”
