33 Когда Иеремия еще был заключен в царской темнице, Господне слово было к нему во второй раз:
2 – Так говорит Господь, Который сотворил землю, Господь, Который создал ее и утвердил – Господь Его имя: 3 Воззови ко Мне, и Я тебе отвечу – возвещу тебе великое и недоступное, чего ты не знаешь. 4 Ведь так говорит Господь, Бог Израиля, о домах этого города и о царских дворцах Иудеи, которые были разрушены, чтобы построить защиту от осадных валов, и от меча атакующих:
5 – Израильтяне будут сражаться с халдеями, но их дома наполнятся трупами тех, кого Я сражу в Своем гневе и ярости, потому что Я скрыл Свое лицо от этого города из-за всех его злодеяний. 6 Но Я дам ему и здоровье, и исцеление; Я исцелю Мой народ и открою ему изобилие мира и безопасности. 7 Я восстановлю Иудею и Израиль и отстрою их такими же, как прежде. 8 Я очищу их от всех грехов, которые они совершили предо Мной, и прощу все их беззакония, когда они восставали против Меня. 9 Тогда этот город принесет Мне славу, радость, хвалу и честь перед всеми народами земли, которые услышат обо всем добре, которое Я делаю для него; они испугаются и затрепещут, узнав обо всем добре и мире, которые Я ему дам.
10 Так говорит Господь:
– Вы говорите об этой земле: «Это пустыня без людей и животных». Но раздадутся еще в городах Иудеи и на опустевших улицах Иерусалима, где не живут ни люди, ни звери, 11 звуки веселья и радости, голоса жениха и невесты, голоса несущих благодарственные жертвы в дом Господа и говорящих:
«Славьте Господа Сил,
потому что Господь благ;
милость Его – навеки».
Ведь Я верну в эту землю благополучие, как прежде, – говорит Господь.
12 Так говорит Господь Сил:
– В этом пустынном краю, где нет ни людей, ни животных, возле всех этих городов снова будут пастбища, на которых пастухи будут пасти свои стада. 13 В городах нагорий, западных предгорий и Негева, в землях Вениамина, в окрестностях Иерусалима и в городах Иудеи стада вновь будут проходить под рукою того, кто их пересчитывает, – говорит Господь.
14 Непременно наступят дни, – возвещает Господь, – когда Я исполню доброе обещание, которое Я дал дому Израиля и дому Иуды.
15 – В те дни и в то время
когда Я произращу праведную Ветвь[a] из рода Давида –
Он будет вершить в стране справедливость и правосудие.
16 В те дни Иуда будет спасен,
и Иерусалим будет жить в безопасности.

17 Ведь так говорит Господь:
– Давид не останется без сидящего на престоле дома Израиля, 18 а священники-левиты не останутся без стоящего всегда предо Мной, чтобы совершать всесожжения, сжигать хлебные приношения и приносить жертвы.
19 Было к Иеремии слово Господа:

33 While Jeremiah was still confined(A) in the courtyard(B) of the guard, the word of the Lord came to him a second time:(C) 2 “This is what the Lord says, he who made the earth,(D) the Lord who formed it and established it—the Lord is his name:(E) 3 ‘Call(F) to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable(G) things you do not know.’ 4 For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says about the houses in this city and the royal palaces of Judah that have been torn down to be used against the siege(H) ramps(I) and the sword 5 in the fight with the Babylonians[a]: ‘They will be filled with the dead bodies of the people I will slay in my anger and wrath.(J) I will hide my face(K) from this city because of all its wickedness.
6 “‘Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal(L) my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace(M) and security. 7 I will bring Judah(N) and Israel back from captivity[b](O) and will rebuild(P) them as they were before.(Q) 8 I will cleanse(R) them from all the sin they have committed against me and will forgive(S) all their sins of rebellion against me. 9 Then this city will bring me renown,(T) joy, praise(U) and honor(V) before all nations on earth that hear of all the good things I do for it; and they will be in awe and will tremble(W) at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it.’
10 “This is what the Lord says: ‘You say about this place, “It is a desolate waste, without people or animals.”(X) Yet in the towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem that are deserted,(Y) inhabited by neither people nor animals, there will be heard once more 11 the sounds of joy and gladness,(Z) the voices of bride and bridegroom, and the voices of those who bring thank offerings(AA) to the house of the Lord, saying,
For I will restore the fortunes(AD) of the land as they were before,(AE)’ says the Lord.
12 “This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘In this place, desolate(AF) and without people or animals(AG)—in all its towns there will again be pastures for shepherds to rest their flocks.(AH) 13 In the towns of the hill(AI) country, of the western foothills and of the Negev,(AJ) in the territory of Benjamin, in the villages around Jerusalem and in the towns of Judah, flocks will again pass under the hand(AK) of the one who counts them,’ says the Lord.
14 “‘The days are coming,’ declares the Lord, ‘when I will fulfill the good promise(AL) I made to the people of Israel and Judah.
15 “‘In those days and at that time
I will make a righteous(AM) Branch(AN) sprout from David’s line;(AO)
he will do what is just and right in the land.
16 In those days Judah will be saved(AP)
and Jerusalem will live in safety.(AQ)
This is the name by which it[c] will be called:(AR)
The Lord Our Righteous Savior.’(AS)
17 For this is what the Lord says: ‘David will never fail(AT) to have a man to sit on the throne of Israel, 18 nor will the Levitical(AU) priests(AV) ever fail to have a man to stand before me continually to offer burnt offerings, to burn grain offerings and to present sacrifices.(AW)’”
19 The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah: 20 “This is what the Lord says: ‘If you can break my covenant with the day(AX) and my covenant with the night, so that day and night no longer come at their appointed time,(AY) 21 then my covenant(AZ) with David my servant—and my covenant with the Levites(BA) who are priests ministering before me—can be broken and David will no longer have a descendant to reign on his throne.(BB) 22 I will make the descendants of David my servant and the Levites who minister before me as countless(BC) as the stars in the sky and as measureless as the sand on the seashore.’”
23 The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah: 24 “Have you not noticed that these people are saying, ‘The Lord has rejected the two kingdoms[d](BD) he chose’? So they despise(BE) my people and no longer regard them as a nation.(BF) 25 This is what the Lord says: ‘If I have not made my covenant with day and night(BG) and established the laws(BH) of heaven and earth,(BI) 26 then I will reject(BJ) the descendants of Jacob(BK) and David my servant and will not choose one of his sons to rule over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. For I will restore their fortunes[e](BL) and have compassion(BM) on them.’”

33 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying,
2 Thus saith the Lord the maker thereof, the Lord that formed it, to establish it; the Lord is his name;
3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
4 For thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down by the mounts, and by the sword;
5 They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but it is to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in mine anger and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city.
6 Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.
7 And I will cause the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel to return, and will build them, as at the first.
8 And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.
9 And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.
10 Thus saith the Lord; Again there shall be heard in this place, which ye say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,
11 The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the Lord of hosts: for the Lord is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the Lord.
12 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.
13 In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the vale, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that telleth them, saith the Lord.
14 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.
15 In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.
16 In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely: and this is the name wherewith she shall be called, The Lord our righteousness.
17 For thus saith the Lord; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;
18 Neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle meat offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.
19 And the word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah, saying,
20 Thus saith the Lord; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season;
21 Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.
22 As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.
23 Moreover the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying,
24 Considerest thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the Lord hath chosen, he hath even cast them off? thus they have despised my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.
25 Thus saith the Lord; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;
26 Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob and David my servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.
