Иудея должна покориться Вавилону
27 В начале правления иудейского царя Цедекии, сына Иосии,[a] к Иеремии было такое слово от Вечного. 2 Так мне сказал Вечный:
– Сделай из ремней и палок ярмо и надень его на шею. 3 И пошли весть царям Эдома, Моава, Аммона, Тира и Сидона через послов, которые прибыли в Иерусалим к Цедекии, царю Иудеи. 4 Вели им передать известие своим господам, накажи им: Так говорит Вечный, Повелитель Сил, Бог Исраила: «Скажите своим господам вот что: 5 Своей великой силой и простёртой рукой Я создал землю, людей и животных на земле, и Я даю это кому пожелаю. 6 Ныне Я отдам все ваши земли Моему рабу Навуходоносору, царю Вавилона; Я покорю ему даже диких зверей. 7 Все народы будут служить ему, и его сыну, и его внуку, пока не пробьёт час этой страны. Ему покорятся многочисленные народы и великие цари.
8 А если какой-нибудь народ или царство не станет служить Навуходоносору, царю Вавилона, и не пригнёт свою шею под его ярмо, Я буду наказывать этот народ мечом, голодом и мором, – возвещает Вечный, – пока не погублю их его рукой. 9 Поэтому не слушайте ваших лжепророков, ворожей, толкователей снов, вызывателей умерших и чародеев, которые говорят вам: „Вы не будете служить царю Вавилона“. 10 Они пророчествуют вам ложь, которая удалит вас от ваших земель; Я изгоню вас, и вы погибнете. 11 А если какой-нибудь народ пригнёт шею под ярмо царя Вавилона и будет ему служить, Я оставлю этот народ на его земле, чтобы он возделывал её и жил на ней», – возвещает Вечный.
12 Я говорил то же самое Цедекии, царю Иудеи:
– Пригни шею под ярмо царя Вавилона; служи ему и его народу, и будешь жить. 13 Зачем тебе и твоему народу гибнуть от меча, голода и мора, которыми Вечный грозит каждому народу, что не станет служить царю Вавилона? 14 Не слушай слов лжепророков, говорящих тебе: «Вы не будете служить царю Вавилона», так как они пророчествуют тебе ложь. 15 «Я не посылал их, – возвещает Вечный. – Они пророчествуют Моим именем ложь, чтобы Я изгнал вас, и вы погибли – и вы, и пророки, которые вам пророчествуют».
16 Затем я обратился к священнослужителям и всему народу:
– Так говорит Вечный: «Не слушайте пророков, которые говорят: „Скоро утварь дома Вечного принесут из Вавилона обратно“[b]. Они пророчествуют вам ложь. 17 Не слушайте их. Служите царю Вавилона и будете жить. Зачем этому городу превращаться в развалины? 18 Если они пророки, и у них слово Вечного, то пусть лучше попросят Вечного, Повелителя Сил, чтобы та утварь, которая ещё осталась в доме Вечного, во дворце царя Иудеи и в Иерусалиме, не отправилась в Вавилон. 19 Ведь так говорит Вечный, Повелитель Сил, о колоннах, о „море“[c], передвижных подставках и прочей утвари, оставшейся в городе, 20 которую Навуходоносор, царь Вавилона, не забрал с собой, когда он увёл иудейского царя Иехонию, сына Иоакима, в плен из Иерусалима в Вавилон вместе со знатью Иудеи и Иерусалима – 21 да, так Вечный, Повелитель Сил, Бог Исраила, говорит об утвари, оставшейся в доме Вечного, во дворце царя Иудеи и в Иерусалиме: 22 Её заберут в Вавилон, и она останется там до того дня, когда Я приду за ней, – возвещает Вечный. – Тогда Я заберу её и верну в эту землю».

27 Este mensaje del Señor recibió Jeremías al comienzo del reinado de Joacim,[a] hijo de Josías, rey de Judá:
2 Hazte un yugo y póntelo al cuello atado con correas como quien enyuga un buey para arar. 3 Envía luego mensaje a los reyes de Edom, Moab, Amón, Tiro y Sidón, mediante sus embajadores en Jerusalén, 4 a los cuales dirás: Digan a sus amos que el Señor de los ejércitos, el Dios de Israel, les envía este mensaje:
5 Por mi gran poder yo hice la tierra; toda la humanidad y todos los animales, y esto, que es mío, lo doy a quien quiero. 6 Así, ahora he entregado todas sus naciones al rey Nabucodonosor de Babilonia, que es representante mío. Y le he entregado a él todo el ganado de sus amos. 7 Todas las naciones le servirán a Nabucodonosor y a sus hijos y nietos hasta que le llegue su turno de ser castigado, y entonces muchas naciones y poderosos reyes conquistarán Babilonia y la harán su esclava. 8 ¡Pero ahora sométanse a Nabucodonosor y sírvanle, pórtense sumisos ante Babilonia! Castigaré a cualquier nación que se niegue a ser esclava suya; enviaré guerra, hambre y enfermedad sobre dicha nación hasta que él la haya conquistado.
9 No escuchen a sus falsos profetas, adivinos, soñadores, agoreros y magos que dicen que el rey de Babilonia no los someterá a esclavitud, 10 porque todos son mentirosos. Y si siguen sus consejos y se niegan a someterse al rey de Babilonia, yo los echaré de su tierra y los enviaré lejos y allá perecerán. 11 Pero al pueblo de toda nación que se someta al rey de Babilonia se le permitirá quedarse en su propio país y cultivar la tierra como de costumbre.
12 Jeremías le repitió todas estas profecías a Sedequías, rey de Judá:
Si deseas vivir, sométete al rey de Babilonia, le dijo. 13 ¿Por qué se empeñan en morir tú y tu pueblo? ¿Por qué elegir la guerra, el hambre y la enfermedad que el Señor ha anunciado a toda nación que no se someta al rey de Babilonia? 14 No prestes oído a los falsos profetas que continuamente te dicen que el rey de Babilonia no te derrotará, pues son unos mentirosos. 15 Yo no los envié, dice el Señor, y te están mintiendo en mi nombre. Si insistes en hacerles caso, tendré que echarlos de esta tierra para que mueran tú y todos estos «profetas».
16 Una y otra vez hablé a los sacerdotes y a todo el pueblo y les dije:
El Señor dice: No escuchen a sus falsos profetas que les dicen que pronto serán traídas de Babilonia las vasijas de oro que fueron saqueadas del templo. Son puras mentiras. 17 No los escuchen. Sométanse al rey de Babilonia para que les perdone la vida, porque de otro modo toda esta ciudad será destruida. 18 Si realmente son profetas de Dios, que le oren al Señor de los ejércitos pidiendo que las vasijas de oro que aún han quedado en el templo, y las que hay en el palacio del rey de Judá y en los palacios de Jerusalén, no sean llevadas como botín junto con ustedes a Babilonia.
19-21 Porque el Señor de los ejércitos dice: Las columnas de bronce que están en el frente del templo, y la gran fuente de bronce que está en el atrio del templo, y los soportes de metal y todos los demás objetos ceremoniales dejados aquí por Nabucodonosor, el rey de Babilonia, cuando desterró a todas las personas importantes de Judá y Jerusalén llevándolos a Babilonia, junto con Jeconías, hijo de Joacim, rey de Judá, 22 todavía están por ser llevados a Babilonia y allá se quedarán hasta que yo los mande traer. Después los volveré a traer de regreso a Jerusalén.

27 Early in the reign of Zedekiah[a](A) son of Josiah king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from the Lord: 2 This is what the Lord said to me: “Make a yoke(B) out of straps and crossbars and put it on your neck. 3 Then send(C) word to the kings of Edom, Moab, Ammon,(D) Tyre and Sidon(E) through the envoys who have come to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah. 4 Give them a message for their masters and say, ‘This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: “Tell this to your masters: 5 With my great power and outstretched arm(F) I made(G) the earth and its people and the animals(H) that are on it, and I give(I) it to anyone I please. 6 Now I will give all your countries into the hands of my servant(J) Nebuchadnezzar(K) king of Babylon; I will make even the wild animals subject to him.(L) 7 All nations will serve(M) him and his son and his grandson until the time(N) for his land comes; then many nations and great kings will subjugate(O) him.
8 “‘“If, however, any nation or kingdom will not serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon or bow its neck under his yoke, I will punish(P) that nation with the sword,(Q) famine(R) and plague,(S) declares the Lord, until I destroy it by his hand. 9 So do not listen to your prophets,(T) your diviners,(U) your interpreters of dreams,(V) your mediums(W) or your sorcerers(X) who tell you, ‘You will not serve(Y) the king of Babylon.’ 10 They prophesy lies(Z) to you that will only serve to remove(AA) you far from your lands; I will banish you and you will perish. 11 But if any nation will bow its neck under the yoke(AB) of the king of Babylon and serve him, I will let that nation remain in its own land to till it and to live(AC) there, declares the Lord.”’”
12 I gave the same message to Zedekiah king of Judah. I said, “Bow your neck under the yoke(AD) of the king of Babylon; serve him and his people, and you will live.(AE) 13 Why will you and your people die(AF) by the sword, famine and plague(AG) with which the Lord has threatened any nation that will not serve the king of Babylon? 14 Do not listen(AH) to the words of the prophets(AI) who say to you, ‘You will not serve the king of Babylon,’ for they are prophesying lies(AJ) to you. 15 ‘I have not sent(AK) them,’ declares the Lord. ‘They are prophesying lies in my name.(AL) Therefore, I will banish you and you will perish,(AM) both you and the prophets who prophesy to you.’”
16 Then I said to the priests and all these people, “This is what the Lord says: Do not listen to the prophets who say, ‘Very soon now the articles(AN) from the Lord’s house will be brought back from Babylon.’ They are prophesying lies to you. 17 Do not listen(AO) to them. Serve the king of Babylon, and you will live.(AP) Why should this city become a ruin? 18 If they are prophets and have the word of the Lord, let them plead(AQ) with the Lord Almighty that the articles remaining in the house of the Lord and in the palace of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem not be taken to Babylon. 19 For this is what the Lord Almighty says about the pillars, the bronze Sea,(AR) the movable stands and the other articles(AS) that are left in this city, 20 which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon did not take away when he carried(AT) Jehoiachin[b](AU) son of Jehoiakim king of Judah into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon, along with all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem— 21 yes, this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says about the things that are left in the house of the Lord and in the palace of the king of Judah and in Jerusalem: 22 ‘They will be taken(AV) to Babylon and there they will remain until the day(AW) I come for them,’ declares the Lord. ‘Then I will bring(AX) them back and restore them to this place.’”
