²⁰Dios favoreció^(A) a las parteras; y el pueblo se multiplicó^(B) y llegó a ser muy poderoso^[a]. ²¹Y por haber las parteras temido^[b] a Dios^(C), Él prosperó sus^[c] familias^[d]^(D). ²²Entonces Faraón ordenó a todo su pueblo: «Todo hijo que nazca^[e]^(E) lo echarán al Nilo^(F), pero a toda hija la dejarán con vida».

²⁰So God was kind to the midwives^(A) and the people increased and became even more numerous. ²¹And because the midwives feared^(B) God, he gave them families^(C) of their own.

²²Then Pharaoh gave this order to all his people: “Every Hebrew boy that is born you must throw into the Nile,^(D) but let every girl live.”^(E)
