16 Vois: j'ai créé le forgeron qui souffle sur les braises
et qui fabrique une arme,
mais j'ai aussi créé le destructeur chargé de l’anéantir.
17 Toute arme préparée contre toi sera sans effet
et toute personne qui s’attaquera à toi au tribunal,
c’est toi qui la condamneras.
Tel est l'héritage des serviteurs de l'Eternel,
telle est la justice qui leur viendra de moi, déclare l'Eternel.

16 “See, it is I who created the blacksmith(A)
who fans the coals into flame
and forges a weapon(B) fit for its work.
And it is I who have created the destroyer(C) to wreak havoc;
17 no weapon forged against you will prevail,(D)
and you will refute(E) every tongue that accuses you.
This is the heritage of the servants(F) of the Lord,
and this is their vindication(G) from me,”
declares the Lord.
