New International Version
7 Hear my voice(A) when I call, Lord;
be merciful to me and answer me.(B)
8 My heart says of you, “Seek his face!(C)”

9 Do not hide your face(D) from me,
do not turn your servant away in anger;(E)
you have been my helper.(F)
Do not reject me or forsake(G) me,
God my Savior.(H)
10 Though my father and mother forsake me,
the Lord will receive me.
11 Teach me your way,(I) Lord;
lead me in a straight path(J)
because of my oppressors.(K)
12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes,
for false witnesses(L) rise up against me,
spouting malicious accusations.

68 “Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel,(C)
because he has come to his people and redeemed them.(D)

74 to rescue us from the hand of our enemies,
and to enable us to serve him(K) without fear(L)
75 in holiness and righteousness(M) before him all our days.
76 And you, my child, will be called a prophet(N) of the Most High;(O)
for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him,(P)
77 to give his people the knowledge of salvation
through the forgiveness of their sins,(Q)
78 because of the tender mercy of our God,
by which the rising sun(R) will come to us from heaven
79 to shine on those living in darkness
and in the shadow of death,(S)
to guide our feet into the path of peace.”(T)
