Rabmag [Răb'măg]—head of the magi or chief of the magicians. The title of Nergal-sharezer, a Babylonian official of Nebuchadnezzar present at the taking of Jerusalem (Jer. 39:3-13). Mag from magus (magi) might have been applied to a sacred caste in Babylon.
