⁴⁰ At sunset, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and laying his hands on each one,^(A) he healed them.^(B)

¹⁵ Yet the news about him spread all the more,^(A) so that crowds of people came to hear him and to be healed of their sicknesses.

Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralyzed Man^(A)

¹⁷ One day Jesus was teaching, and Pharisees and teachers of the law^(B) were sitting there. They had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was with Jesus to heal the sick.^(C)

⁷ The Pharisees and the teachers of the law were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely^(A) to see if he would heal on the Sabbath.^(B)

¹⁸ who had come to hear him and to be healed of their diseases. Those troubled by impure spirits were cured,

¹⁹ and the people all tried to touch him,^(A) because power was coming from him and healing them all.^(B)

³ The centurion heard of Jesus and sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant.

⁷ That is why I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word, and my servant will be healed.^(A)

⁴³ And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding^(A) for twelve years,^[a] but no one could heal her.

⁴⁷ Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed.
