Acts 2:27-31
New American Standard Bible
27 For You will not abandon my soul to (A)Hades,
(B)Nor will You [a]allow Your [b]Holy One to [c]undergo decay.
28 You have made known to me the ways of life;
You will make me full of gladness with Your presence.’
29 “[d]Brothers, I may confidently say to you regarding the (C)patriarch David that he both (D)died and (E)was buried, and (F)his tomb is [e]with us to this day. 30 So because he was (G)a prophet and knew that (H)God had sworn to him with an oath to seat one [f]of his descendants on his throne, 31 he looked ahead and spoke of the resurrection of the [g]Christ, that (I)He was neither abandoned to Hades, nor did His flesh [h]suffer decay.
