⁴ On that day His feet will ^(A)stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be ^(B)split ^[a]in its middle from east to west forming a very large valley. Half of the mountain will move toward the north, and the other half toward the south. ⁵ And you will flee by the valley of My mountains, for the valley of the mountains will reach to Azel; yes, you will flee just as you fled from the ^(C)earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. ^(D)Then the Lord, my God, will come, and all the holy ones with ^[b]Him!

⁶ On that day there will be ^(E)no light; the ^[c]luminaries will die out. ⁷ For it will be ^(F)a unique day which is ^(G)known to the Lord, neither day nor night, but it will come about that at the ^(H)time of evening there will be light.

⁸ And on that day ^(I)living waters will flow out of Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and the other half toward the western sea; it will be in summer as well as in winter.

God Will Be King over All

⁹ And the Lord will be ^(J)King over all the earth; on that day the Lord will be the only ^(K)one, and His name the only one.

¹⁰ All the land will change into a plain from ^(L)Geba to ^(M)Rimmon south of Jerusalem; but ^[d]Jerusalem will ^(N)rise and ^(O)remain on its site from ^(P)Benjamin’s Gate as far as the place of the First Gate to the ^(Q)Corner Gate, and from the ^(R)Tower of Hananel to the king’s wine presses. ¹¹ People will live in it, and there will ^(S)no longer be a curse, for Jerusalem will ^(T)live in security.

⁵¹ Behold, I am telling you a ^[a](A)mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be ^(B)changed, ⁵² in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for ^(C)the trumpet will sound, and ^(D)the dead will be raised ^[b]imperishable, and ^(E)we will be changed. ⁵³ For this ^[c]perishable must put on ^[d](F)the imperishable, and this ^(G)mortal must put on immortality.

Those Who Died in Christ

¹³ But ^(A)we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about those who ^[a](B)are asleep, so that you will not grieve as indeed ^(C)the rest of mankind do, who have ^(D)no hope. ¹⁴ For if we believe that Jesus died and rose from the dead, ^(E)so also God will bring with Him ^(F)those who have fallen asleep ^[b]through Jesus. ¹⁵ For we say this to you ^(G)by the word of the Lord, that ^(H)we who are alive ^[c]and remain until ^(I)the coming of the Lord will not precede ^(J)those who have fallen asleep. ¹⁶ For the Lord ^(K)Himself ^(L)will descend from heaven with a ^[d](M)shout, with the voice of ^(N)the archangel and with the ^(O)trumpet of God, and ^(P)the dead in Christ will rise first. ¹⁷ Then ^(Q)we who are alive, who remain, will be ^(R)caught up together with them ^(S)in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always ^(T)be with the Lord. ¹⁸ Therefore, ^[e]comfort one another with these words.

¹³ looking for the blessed hope and the ^(A)appearing of the glory of ^[a](B)our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus,

^6 (A)Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the ^(B)second death has no power, but they will be ^(C)priests of God and of Christ, and will ^(D)reign with Him for a thousand years.
