Romans 14:9-18

9 For to this end Christ died and lived again, so that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.
10 Why do you pass judgment on your brother or sister?[a] Or you, why do you despise your brother or sister?[b] For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.[c] 11 For it is written,
“As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me,
and every tongue shall give praise to[d] God.”
12 So then, each of us will be accountable to God.[e]
Do Not Make Another Stumble
13 Let us therefore no longer pass judgment on one another, but resolve instead never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of another.[f] 14 I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself; but it is unclean for anyone who thinks it unclean. 15 If your brother or sister[g] is being injured by what you eat, you are no longer walking in love. Do not let what you eat cause the ruin of one for whom Christ died. 16 So do not let your good be spoken of as evil. 17 For the kingdom of God is not food and drink but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 18 The one who thus serves Christ is acceptable to God and has human approval.

«Come è vero che vivo», dice il Signore, «ogni ginocchio si piegherà davanti a me, e ogni lingua darà gloria a Dio»[b].
12 Quindi ciascuno di noi renderà conto di se stesso {a Dio}.
13 (A)Smettiamo dunque di giudicarci gli uni gli altri; decidetevi piuttosto a non porre inciampo sulla via del fratello, né a essere per lui un’occasione di caduta[c]. 14 Io so e sono persuaso nel Signore Gesù che nulla è impuro in se stesso; però se uno pensa che una cosa è impura, per lui è impura. 15 Ora, se a motivo di un cibo tuo fratello è turbato, tu non cammini più secondo amore. Non perdere, con il tuo cibo, colui per il quale Cristo è morto! 16 Ciò che è bene per voi non sia dunque oggetto di biasimo; 17 perché il regno di Dio non consiste in vivanda né in bevanda, ma è giustizia, pace e gioia nello Spirito Santo. 18 Poiché chi serve Cristo in questo[d], è gradito a Dio e approvato dagli uomini.

9 Denn dazu ist Christus auch gestorben und auferstanden und wieder lebendig geworden, dass er sowohl über Tote als auch über Lebende Herr sei.
10 Du aber, was richtest du deinen Bruder? Oder du, was verachtest du deinen Bruder? Wir werden ja alle vor dem Richterstuhl des Christus erscheinen;
11 denn es steht geschrieben: »So wahr ich lebe, spricht der Herr: Mir soll sich jedes Knie beugen, und jede Zunge wird Gott bekennen«.[a]
12 So wird also jeder von uns für sich selbst Gott Rechenschaft geben.
Pflicht zur Rücksichtnahme gegenüber dem schwächeren Bruder
13 Darum lasst uns nicht mehr einander richten, sondern das richtet vielmehr, dass dem Bruder weder ein Anstoß noch ein Ärgernis in den Weg gestellt wird!
14 Ich weiß und bin überzeugt in dem Herrn Jesus, dass nichts an und für sich unrein ist; sondern es ist nur für den unrein, der etwas für unrein hält.
15 Wenn aber dein Bruder um einer Speise willen betrübt wird, so wandelst du nicht mehr gemäß der Liebe. Verdirb mit deiner Speise nicht denjenigen, für den Christus gestorben ist!
16 So soll nun euer Bestes nicht verlästert werden.
17 Denn das Reich Gottes ist nicht Essen und Trinken, sondern Gerechtigkeit, Friede und Freude im Heiligen Geist;
18 wer darin Christus dient, der ist Gott wohlgefällig und auch von den Menschen geschätzt.

9 Hiszen Krisztus azért halt meg, és azért támadt fel, hogy uralkodjon mind a holtak, mind az élők felett.
10 Ha ez így van, akkor hogy mered elítélni, vagy megvetni a testvéredet? Hiszen egyszer mindannyian oda kell majd álljunk az ítélő Isten elé! 11 Ahogyan az Írás mondja:
„Mindenki térdet hajt előttem,
mindenki nyilvánosan elismeri,
hogy én vagyok az Isten.
Olyan biztos ez, mint ahogy élek,
mondja az Örökkévaló.”[a]
12 Tehát mindenki csak saját magáról fog számot adni Istennek.
Ne rombold a testvéred hitét!
13 Tehát ne kritizáljuk, se ne ítéljük el többé egymást! Inkább határozzuk el, hogy nem teszünk semmi olyat, amivel a testvéreink hitét lerombolnánk, vagy őket elgáncsolnánk! 14 Tudom, mert az Úr Jézus meggyőzött róla, hogy önmagában véve semmilyen étel sem tisztátalan. Csak annak a számára tisztátalan, aki azt tisztátalannak tartja. 15 Ha viszont megbotránkoztatod a testvéredet azzal, amit eszel, akkor nem a szeretetnek megfelelően jársz el. Vigyázz, hogy ne tedd tönkre a testvéredet, akiért Krisztus meghalt! 16 Ne fordulhasson elő, hogy valaki más gyalázatosnak tartja azt, amit te helyesnek gondolsz! 17 Mert Isten Királyságában nem az számít, hogy mit eszel, vagy iszol. Csak az számít, hogy Isten akarata szerint élsz-e, és hogy a Szent Szellem békessége és öröme uralkodik-e benned. 18 Aki tehát így szolgálja Krisztust, annak valóban örül majd Isten, és az ilyen embert a többiek is elismerik.

9 En effet, Christ est mort et il est revenu à la vie pour être le Seigneur des morts et des vivants. 10 Et toi, pourquoi condamnes-tu ton frère ? Ou toi, pourquoi méprises-tu ton frère ? Ne devons-nous pas tous comparaître devant le tribunal de Dieu ? 11 Car il est écrit :
Aussi vrai que je vis, dit le Seigneur,
tout genou ploiera devant moi
et toute langue
me reconnaîtra comme Dieu[a] .
12 Ainsi chacun de nous rendra compte à Dieu pour lui-même. 13 Cessons donc de nous condamner les uns les autres.
Se soucier des frères et sœurs en la foi
Prenez plutôt la décision de ne rien mettre en travers du chemin d’un frère qui puisse le faire trébucher ou tomber. 14 Pour moi, je sais et je suis pleinement convaincu, en accord avec la pensée du Seigneur Jésus, que rien n’est impur en soi. Cependant, si quelqu’un considère que telle chose est impure, alors elle est impure pour lui. 15 Si donc, à cause d’un aliment, tu fais du tort à ton frère, tu ne te conduis pas selon l’amour. Ne va pas, pour un aliment, causer la perte de celui pour qui Christ est mort. 16 Que ce qui est bien pour vous ne devienne pas pour d’autres une occasion de dire du mal de vous[b]. 17 Dans le royaume de Dieu, ce n’est pas le manger et le boire qui importent, mais une vie juste, la paix et la joie que produit l’Esprit Saint. 18 Celui qui sert Christ de cette manière est agréable à Dieu et estimé des hommes.
