Romans 12:3-5

Humble Service in the Body of Christ

³For by the grace given me^(A) I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. ⁴For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function,^(B) ⁵so in Christ we, though many, form one body,^(C) and each member belongs to all the others.

The Fellowship of the Believers

⁴²They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching^(A) and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread^(B) and to prayer.^(C) ⁴³Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.^(D) ⁴⁴All the believers were together and had everything in common.^(E) ⁴⁵They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.^(F) ⁴⁶Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts.^(G) They broke bread^(H) in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, ⁴⁷praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.^(I) And the Lord added to their number^(J) daily those who were being saved.
