¹⁰ On the Lord’s Day^(A) I was in the Spirit,^(B) and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet,^{(C) 11} which said: “Write on a scroll what you see^(D) and send it to the seven churches:^(E) to Ephesus,^(F) Smyrna,^(G) Pergamum,^(H) Thyatira,^(I) Sardis,^(J) Philadelphia^(K) and Laodicea.”^(L)

¹⁹ “Write, therefore, what you have seen,^(A) what is now and what will take place later. ²⁰ The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand^(B) and of the seven golden lampstands^(C) is this: The seven stars are the angels^[a] of the seven churches,^(D) and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.^(E)
