The Lords Power and Dominion.

97 (A)The Lord [a]reigns, may the (B)earth rejoice;
May the many [b](C)islands be joyful.
(D)Clouds and thick darkness surround Him;
(E)Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.
(F)Fire goes before Him
And (G)burns up His enemies all around.
His (H)lightning lit up the world;
The earth saw it and (I)trembled.
The mountains (J)melted like wax at the presence of the Lord,
At the presence of the (K)Lord of the whole earth.
The (L)heavens declare His righteousness,
And (M)all the peoples have seen His glory.

May all those be ashamed who serve (N)carved images,
Who boast in (O)idols;
[c](P)Worship Him, all you [d]gods.
Zion [e]heard this and (Q)was joyful,
And the daughters of Judah have rejoiced
Because of Your judgments, Lord.
For You are the Lord (R)Most High over all the earth;
You are exalted far (S)above all [f]gods.

10 (T)Hate evil, you who love the Lord,
Who (U)watches over the souls of His godly ones;
He (V)saves them from the hand of the wicked.
11 (W)Light is sown like seed for the righteous,
And (X)gladness for the upright in heart.
12 Be (Y)joyful in the Lord, you righteous ones,
And (Z)praise [g]the mention of His holy name.

12 Praise the Lord, Jerusalem!
Praise your God, Zion!
13 For He has strengthened the (A)bars of your gates;
He has (B)blessed your sons among you.
14 He (C)makes [a]peace in your borders;
He (D)satisfies you with (E)the [b]finest of the wheat.
15 He sends His (F)command to the earth;
His (G)word runs very swiftly.
16 He [c]showers (H)snow like wool;
He scatters the (I)frost like ashes.
17 He hurls His (J)ice as fragments;
Who can stand before His (K)cold?
18 He (L)sends His word and makes them melt;
He (M)makes His wind blow, and the waters flow.
19 He (N)declares His words to Jacob,
His (O)statutes and His judgments to Israel.
20 He (P)has not dealt this way with any other nation;
And as for His judgments, [d]they have (Q)not known them.
[e]Praise [f]the Lord!

17 Cain [a]had relations with his wife and she conceived, and gave birth to Enoch; and Cain built a city, and named the city Enoch, after the name of his son. 18 Now to Enoch was born Irad, and Irad fathered Mehujael, and Mehujael fathered Methushael, and Methushael fathered Lamech. 19 Lamech took (A)two wives for himself: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other, Zillah. 20 Adah gave birth to Jabal; he was the father of those who live in tents and have livestock. 21 His brother’s name was Jubal; he was the father of all those who play the lyre and flute. 22 As for Zillah, she also gave birth to Tubal-cain, the forger of all implements of bronze and iron; and the sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah.

23 Lamech said to his wives,

“Adah and Zillah,
Listen to my voice,
You wives of Lamech,
Pay attention to my words,
(B)For I have killed a man for wounding me;
And a boy for striking me!
24 If Cain is avenged (C)seven times,
Then Lamech seventy-seven times!”

25 (D)Adam [b]had relations with his wife again; and she gave birth to a son, and named him [c]Seth, for, she said, “God [d]has appointed me another [e]child in place of Abel, (E)because Cain killed him.” 26 To Seth also (F)a son was born; and he named him Enosh. Then people began (G)to call [f]upon the name of the Lord.

Jesus Our High Priest

Therefore, (A)holy brothers and sisters, partakers of a (B)heavenly calling, consider (C)the Apostle and (D)High Priest of our (E)confession: Jesus; [a]He was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as (F)Moses also was in all His house. (G)For He has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by just so much as the builder of the house has more honor than the house. For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God. Now (H)Moses was faithful in all [b]God’s house as (I)a servant, (J)for a testimony of those things (K)which were to be spoken later; but Christ was faithful as (L)a Son over His house—(M)whose house we are, (N)if we hold firmly to our (O)confidence and the boast of our [c](P)hope.

Therefore, just as (Q)the Holy Spirit says,

(R)Today if you hear His voice,
(S)Do not harden your hearts as [d]when they provoked Me,
As on the day of trial in the wilderness,
(T)Where your fathers put Me to the test,
And saw My works for (U)forty years.
10 (V)Therefore I was angry with this generation,
And said, ‘They always go astray in their heart,
And they did not know My ways’;
11 (W)As I swore in My anger,
They certainly shall not enter My rest.’”

43 (A)The next day He [a]decided to go to (B)Galilee, and He *found (C)Philip. And Jesus *said to him, (D)Follow Me.” 44 Now (E)Philip was from (F)Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. 45 (G)Philip *found (H)Nathanael and *said to him, “We have found Him of whom (I)Moses wrote in the Law, and (J)the prophets also wrote: Jesus (K)the son of Joseph, from (L)Nazareth!” 46 Nathanael said to him, “(M)Can anything good be from Nazareth?” (N)Philip *said to him, “Come and see.” 47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him, and *said of him, “Here is truly an (O)Israelite, in whom there is no deceit!” 48 Nathanael *said to Him, “How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before (P)Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.” 49 Nathanael answered Him, “(Q)Rabbi, You are (R)the Son of God; You are the (S)King of Israel!” 50 Jesus answered and said to him, “Because I said to you that I saw you under the fig tree, do you believe? You will see greater things than these.” 51 And He *said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see (T)heaven opened and (U)the angels of God ascending and descending on (V)the Son of Man.”
