12 Lord, those you correct are happy.
    You give them your teachings.
13 You give them rest from times of trouble
    until a grave is dug for the wicked.
14 The Lord won’t leave his people.
    He will not give up his children.

12 Blessed is the one you discipline,(A) Lord,
    the one you teach(B) from your law;
13 you grant them relief from days of trouble,(C)
    till a pit(D) is dug for the wicked.
14 For the Lord will not reject his people;(E)
    he will never forsake his inheritance.
