¹¹ Has this house,^(A) which bears my Name, become a den of robbers^(B) to you? But I have been watching!^(C) declares the Lord.

¹² “‘Go now to the place in Shiloh^(D) where I first made a dwelling^(E) for my Name,^(F) and see what I did^(G) to it because of the wickedness of my people Israel. ¹³ While you were doing all these things, declares the Lord, I spoke^(H) to you again and again,^(I) but you did not listen;^(J) I called^(K) you, but you did not answer.^(L)

¹³ While you were doing all these things, declares the Lord, I spoke^(A) to you again and again,^(B) but you did not listen;^(C) I called^(D) you, but you did not answer.^{(E) 14} Therefore, what I did to Shiloh^(F) I will now do to the house that bears my Name,^(G) the temple^(H) you trust in, the place I gave to you and your ancestors. ¹⁵ I will thrust you from my presence,^(I) just as I did all your fellow Israelites, the people of Ephraim.’^(J)

⁵ and if you do not listen to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I have sent to you again and again (though you have not listened^(A)), ⁶ then I will make this house like Shiloh^(B) and this city a curse^[a](C) among all the nations of the earth.’”
