²⁶ Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For ^(A)we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but ^(B)the Spirit Himself makes intercession ^[a]for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

⁷ so that you come short in no gift, eagerly ^(A)waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, ^8 (B)who will also confirm you to the end, ^(C)that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. ^9 (D)God is faithful, by whom you were called into ^(E)the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Cast Down but Unconquered

⁷ But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, ^(A)that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. ⁸ We are ^(B)hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; ⁹ persecuted, but not ^(C)forsaken; ^(D)struck down, but not destroyed—

⁹ And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly ^(A)I will rather boast in my infirmities, ^(B)that the power of Christ may rest upon me. ¹⁰ Therefore ^(C)I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. ^(D)For when I am weak, then I am strong.
