17 The godly[a] cry out and the Lord hears;
he saves them from all their troubles.[b]
18 The Lord is near the brokenhearted;
he delivers[c] those who are discouraged.[d]
19 The godly[e] face many dangers,[f]
but the Lord saves[g] them[h] from each one of them.
