⁹ May desert tribes ^(A)bow down before him,
    and his enemies ^(B)lick the dust!

^17 (A)they shall lick the dust like a serpent,
    like the crawling things of the earth;
^(B)they shall come trembling out of their strongholds;
    ^(C)they shall turn in dread to the Lord our God,
    and they shall be in fear of you.

^23 (A)Kings shall be your foster fathers,
    and their queens your nursing mothers.
^(B)With their faces to the ground they shall bow down to you,
    and ^(C)lick the dust of your feet.
Then you will know that I am the Lord;
    ^(D)those who wait for me ^(E)shall not be put to shame.”

35 ^(A)The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad;
    ^(B)the desert shall rejoice and blossom like the crocus;
² it shall blossom abundantly
    and rejoice with joy and singing.
^(C)The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it,
    the majesty of ^(D)Carmel and ^(E)Sharon.
^(F)They shall see the glory of the Lord,
    the majesty of our God.

⁶ He will ^(A)execute judgment among the nations,
    ^(B)filling them with corpses;
he will ^(C)shatter chiefs^[a]
    over the wide earth.

110 ^(A)The Lord says to my Lord:
    ^(B)“Sit at my right hand,
^(C)until I make your enemies your ^(D)footstool.”
