¹¹Even a child is known by his acts, whether [or not] what he does is pure and right.

¹²The hearing ear and the seeing eye—the Lord has made both of them.

¹³Love not sleep, lest you come to poverty; open your eyes and you will be satisfied with bread.

¹¹Even small children are known by their actions,
so is their conduct really pure^(A) and upright?

¹²Ears that hear and eyes that see—
the Lord has made them both.^(B)

¹³Do not love sleep or you will grow poor;^(C)
stay awake and you will have food to spare.
