⁴⁹ And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, “Here are My mother and My ^(A)brothers!

³⁴ And He looked around in a circle at those who sat about Him, and said, “Here are My mother and My brothers!

¹⁷ Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ^(A)ascended to My Father; but go to ^(B)My brethren and say to them, ^(C)‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to ^(D)My God and your God.’ ”

^18 (E)Mary Magdalene came and told the ^[a]disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her.

The Apostles Commissioned^(F)

^19 (G)Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were ^[b]assembled, for ^(H)fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, ^(I)“Peace be with you.” ²⁰ When He had said this, He ^(J)showed them His hands and His side. ^(K)Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.

Jesus Prays for All Believers

²⁰ “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who ^[a]will believe in Me through their word;

⁸ For I have given to them the words ^(A)which You have given Me; and they have received them, ^(B)and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that ^(C)You sent Me.

⁹ “I pray for them. ^(D)I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours.

⁷ And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed ^(A)He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.”
