³⁵ The^(A) people stood watching, and even the leaders kept scoffing:^(B) “He saved others; let Him save Himself if this is God’s Messiah, the Chosen One!”^(C)

²⁰ and how our chief priests and leaders^(A) handed Him over to be sentenced to death,^(B) and they crucified Him.^(C)

²⁶ Yet, look! He’s speaking publicly and they’re saying nothing to Him. Can it be true that the authorities^(A) know He is the Messiah?^(B)

⁴⁸ Have any of the rulers^(A) or Pharisees believed in Him?

⁴² Nevertheless, many did believe in Him even among the rulers,^(A) but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, so they would not be banned from the synagogue.
