³⁷ Each day Jesus was teaching at the temple,^(A) and each evening he went out^(B) to spend the night on the hill called the Mount of Olives,^{(C) 38} and all the people came early in the morning to hear him at the temple.^(D)

³⁹ Jesus went out as usual^(B) to the Mount of Olives,^(C) and his disciples followed him.

8 ¹ but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.^(A)

² At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them.^(B)
