14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders(A) of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil(B) in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith(C) will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins(D) to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.(E) The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.(F)

17 Elijah was a human being, even as we are.(G) He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years.(H) 18 Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.(I)

14 Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.

16 Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. 17 Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years! 18 Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops.

14 Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for (A)the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, [a](B)anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; 15 and the (C)prayer of faith will [b](D)restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will (E)raise him up, and if he has committed sins, [c]they will be forgiven him. 16 Therefore, (F)confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be (G)healed. (H)A [d]prayer of a righteous person, when it is [e]brought about, can accomplish much. 17 Elijah was (I)a man with a nature like ours, and (J)he prayed [f]earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for (K)three years and six months. 18 Then he (L)prayed again, and (M)the sky [g]poured rain and the earth produced its fruit.
