Isaiah 62:1-5

Zion's Coming Salvation

62 ^(A)For Zion's sake I will not keep silent,
    and for Jerusalem's sake I will not be quiet,
^(B)until her righteousness goes forth as brightness,
    and her salvation as a burning torch.
²^(C)The nations shall see your righteousness,
    and all the kings your glory,
^(D)and you shall be called by a new name
    that the mouth of the Lord will give.
³You shall be ^(E)a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord,
    and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
⁴^(F)You shall no more be termed ^(G)Forsaken,^[a]
    and your land shall no more be termed Desolate,^[b]
^(H)but you shall be called ^(I)My Delight Is in Her,^[c]
    and your land Married;^[d]
for the Lord delights in you,
    and your land shall be married.
⁵For as a young man marries a young woman,
    so ^(J)shall your sons marry you,
and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride,
    so ^(K)shall your God rejoice over you.

¹¹And ^(A)he gave the ^(B)apostles, the prophets, the ^(C)evangelists, the ^(D)shepherds^[a] and teachers,^[b] ¹²^(E)to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for ^(F)building up ^(G)the body of Christ, ¹³until we all attain to ^(H)the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, ^(I)to mature manhood,^[c] to the measure of the stature of ^(J)the fullness of Christ, ¹⁴so that we may no longer be children, ^(K)tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in ^(L)deceitful schemes. ¹⁵Rather, ^(M)speaking the truth in love, we are to ^(N)grow up in every way into him who is ^(O)the head, into Christ, ¹⁶^(P)from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, ^(Q)when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.

And behold, ^(M)I am with you always, to ^(N)the end of the age.”
